  1. Hey Russ, Just had mine done last Thursday 04/06 by frauds and was $75 flex plate + new bolts, bushes and labour (4 Hours) for a grand total of $695 inc gst. I would say if your ride is not completly factory dont even take it to fords; but if it is, make a warrenty claim. I recommend go the Nizpro and your own mechanic. Cheers. Ohh Just saw the 382 (dont go to fords)
  2. When I used the F6 CIA and F6 I/C with 60lb injectors, I reached 298.1 rwkw with standard fuel pump.
  3. Looked into it, this may help. Smartlock bypass Module from shiftkits. com.au
  4. My machanic told me there is a blue twin turbo XR8 ute out greenslopes way running around the street with a 2 speed race glide.
  5. When the coppers used to drive the XB-XC V8 interceptors, the traffic cop drivers would reverse the top on the air filter intake lid just to make a massive induction noise, and switch it back at the end of the day, but if they got caught, their boss kicked there ass.
  6. Have seen hire cars with blue/ red light kits sitting on rear dash and when I mentioned this to the police promo girl at the school fete (with her SS demo car), she said it was quite a common practice to use hire cars.
  7. Saw a brand spanking H*^#d*N- R8 (white) get delivered to the Alderly (Qld) police complex last week on the back of a Tray. Then a couple of days later I saw it on the road, so keep an eye in your rear-veiw because that is the only place it deserves to be.
  8. Well I'm a bit out of my depth here and I can only talk about what I have noticed with my car. I find that if I drive my car nice and easy and then want to drive hard, it takes a little while for the car to adjust, but if I drive hard and then want to take it easy then for a while the car is still prepared for hard driving, Re: The way the trans shifts, Idle speed, holds in gear longer before it changes, how quick the car reaches maximum revs. I would sugest that the car adapts to the style of driving. So; what I am saying is that if you reload the tune (fresh) then it re-sets the mode to the original tune design. Does that sound like dribble or does it make sense?
  9. I had all the same symptoms with my Bf xrt and I narrowed it down to this. Before I load my tune I make sure that my mobile phone is switched off because I think the bluetooth conection was interfering with the tune. Once I load the tune I start the car, switch it off then re-load the tune a second time. this has sorted my problem as I noticed that some times when I loaded the tune the car would run better than other times, also I have noticed that it is a good idea to freashly load the tune every now and again as the car seems to have a mind of its own sometimes. Some of my side effects have been - Speedo not working or locking on speed, auto not changing , selecting nutral or locking in one gear or the other, trans hi-stalling at takeoff, trans not changing gears, all dash cluster lights coming on and going into limp mode. Just try loading your tune twice in a row as it fixed my problems, Cheers, mark.
  10. Hey Jamie, I'm in for the 30th (tomorrow), So are the meet up times still the same? Moreyfield BP service center on the HWY (south), 2:00- 2:15 pm.
  11. I was thinking of fitting a 2 stage adjustable boost controller to my "T", as far as I have been told it is an easy installation and I believe you can only boost more than your existing wastegate psi. I'm sure someone will know. Still a bit more investigation before I hand over the cash.
  12. Waited at the meeting point until 2:30pm and no takers so wasn't going drive there (Willowbank) for the fun of it.
  13. Just about to leave home, and it has started absolutley pelting down. bit of a lost cause, at the moment.
  14. I'll be at BP Burpengary (south) at 2:00pm any way and I'll see what happens from there.
  15. Just pulled an all Morninger to get my car finished at 9:00 am. Just Let me know if it has been changed to next week or not, cause, I'm ready to go.
  16. Hey Aaron, I had BA Futura with similar noise and was told it was the transmission parking lock and it sure made one hell of a noise when you were parked nose pointing up hill and you took it out of park. Front bakes also used to creak a bit when you put it into drive when the pads where cold.
  17. Thanks Robit, Now maybe that will be enough motivation to move my pod and gauges off the coffee table (where they have been sitting for 6 months) and into the dash. P.S. Then I'll see how far I can drop kick the old clock over the back fence!
  18. Hay jasol, I found that if you are behind a truck, they throw up sand and grit and it kind of sand blasts chips in to the paint so I have fitted powder coated top and lower grill and that solved the problem; although I have to say I didn't go to the trouble of etch priming the first time round.
  19. Hey Tim, I just went and picked up the correct bracket and also I think it was the top hose that was slightly different (from memory).
