Well all fitted no worries besides being given the wrong part 3 times...... Just tell them it's a v8 if you have to go in there..... Or they will give you taxi spec This is the correct part number for the turbos and v8
Yeah it's all good, I jacked up the back so I could spin the shaft Then I slid under and noted the shaft position and started undoing the bolts (looking pretty shagged) I then undone the rest of the bolts and grabbed both shafts and pulled them apart till there was clearance to pull the short shaft down and it popped strait off So its obviously fingered, I got ordered one from coventrys (in Perth) for 213.70 I think it was, won't rock up till tomorrow morn when I fit it
Cheers 01txr, Yeah they are a tough little unit, even all the big machinery I work on has them 100t+ and surprisingly they don't fail very much, but like anything once it does let go......
hey guys I was under the car today and the rubber flex joint between the tailshaft and tranny is looking a bit shagged, does anyone know where I can get a replacement? This is the pic out of the workshop manual Looks to me that you just undo the bolts, slip the bit out and chuck the new one in, Anyone chucked one in that can tell me if that's all that's involved:) Cheers If anyone has what was the flex joint price?
The only problem I've had when playing around with grille mesh bits was the airbag bar behind the badge, ended up just painting it matt black and it was ok
Is everyone a big fan of the honeycomb design if it could be done for a factory finish I can't see it would be that hard to make some up, I'll fire up the cad program when I fly home and have a look:) And mainly the top one? I like my intercooler hanging out personally....
is to be constructed of fiberglass and bolted to bonnet, had tossed around ideas on a metal strip with bolts attached "cast" in.....I thou basic thought was to have the mould sitting on a light skelaton frame to stop the centre dipping and flexing in and having pretty much the whole bonnet skin under the cowl removed (leaving a decent strip across the back though) but leaving the bonnet frame as is. im thinking that to keep the lines cleaner you cant really go much more than an inch in height, half the rear height in the pics im looking at it to see how I can adjust the shape, will have a crack tomorrow
Are the sixes still buicks lol, bloody muppets I cant stand the bowtie badge, I like the engine, hate the try hard stigma attached, when appropriate anything is good but I'm off it when these kiddies come out to play:) they just look retarded IMO
Does any one have a pic of the turbo roo design??? I thought that one was awesome, if you Havnt seen it it's got a turbo instead of the wheels:) I Havnt been able to see a pic of it after I first seen it on e at as a vinyl design but it's long gone now:(
