  5. Yeah Beware is a little bit darker. When I first chose the colour for the car there was nothing around the same, by the time I got it on the road there were heaps of cars painted a similar colour. Very annoying. But that's what happens when it takes you 10 years to build a car..
  6. With my Rx2 I dont require a cat but I put one on to keep the po po happy. I also got a straight bit of pipe made up to remove the cat for racing and dynos, when I put the cat back in, when it gets hot it makes a cracking and some other funny noises as the cool air gets to it. Very embarrisng when you pull up and theres heaps of people around. As for a solution, I am not sure as I can just remove mine but maybe try and use some heat wrap on it. Just a sugestion, might not work but then again it might..
  7. Only one crappy video on youtube from a dyno day where the car pulled 305rwkw but who ever put it up didnt even get the power run, just warm up. Under React dyno day.
  8. Hey Drax, I remember your rx3 from Ausrotary quite well. I thought it was sold to a bloke from NZ but all he did was stuff me around for 3 weeks the pain in the a#%. I have a guy from sydney who might be coming to look at it next week.
  9. Darn it, I should have read this earlier, I just went past the on the way back from my daughters dance lessons in Burleigh.. I may have to make a trip down if that's alright with you at some stage.. I am only in Pacific Pines.
  10. OK details are as follows.. Motor is a 12a turbo(1198cc), dowelled to handle boost, Standard mazda seals ( which dont like boost ) with a very tiny mild port. Other than that the block is stock. Turbo is GT35/40 700hp roller on custom thick walled stainless manifold and Tial 38mm external wastegate with screamer pipe. 880cc siemens injectors with twin Bosch motorsport 909 fuel pumps, peirburg pre pump and custom 2.5 litre alloy surge tank. 3/8th alloy fuel lines and lots of speed flow fittings. Custom made PWR radiator, intercooler and oil cooler cores, we made the tanks and brackets and they supplied the cores. Mazda RX7 s5 5 speed box with a centreforce clutch, custom tail shaft and standard rx2 diff with a 4.44 lsd centre. Full 3 inch exhaust with heat wrapped and jet coated dump pipe and manifold. Mazda RX7 series 4 discs with series 6 RX7 front calipers polished up front, and series 2 rx7 rear discs and calipers up the back, all discs are slotted. Kings springs all round(1.5 inch lower) and Koni shocks with k-mac swaybars. 17 inch polished FR simmons with white walled tyres. Retrimmed white vinyl interior with Rx7 series 6 front seats and some after market pro-gauges and microtech hand controller. ECU is microtech LTX8. Full bare metal re-spray with deleted badges and modified front gaurds to suit 18s in mazda cavarian blue( off a 121 bubble). I think that's most of it but if I think of anything else I will add it to this post.. And thanks for all the good comments considering its not a ford but you guys can appreciate a good car when you see it..
  11. How is the ride with the 20s ? No to harsh on bumps ect ? Just asking cause I cant decide on 19s or 20s, still want some ride comfort not thudd thudd.
  12. Without reading through the whole posts, does anyone know of a good exhaust shop that they can recommend on the gold coast to remove my centre muffler ? I listned to a few on youtube with the stock exhaust and just centre muffler removed and I thought it sounded awesome. I have used 1 exhaust shop on the coast to fit a muffler and some pipe on my daily 323 and its the worst weld job I have ever seen. I dont know of any others around as I am still only new to the area and dont trust my car with any jo blo ! Or does any one make a bolt on replacment section I can fit myself ?
  13. Ill put up some more pics tomorrow and more info on the car. I have to go to bed soon to get up at 4:30 for work..
  14. Yeah thanks for the comments guys. Its hard to keep traction at all times the car only weighs just over a tonne. The white interior is pretty easy to keep clean, just wipe down with a damp cloth when I clean the car. I was worried at first having 2 young kids but its pretty good. And yeah my dogs dont come anywhere near the car, ecspecially the 9 staffy pups we just had.
