Not a huge amount of mods to get there but yes, you'll need bigger injectors. So far its fine without the LSD. Have a look in this thread: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/76565-black-g6et-50th/page__view__findpost__p__1134725 The little FG turbo runs out of puff at about the same time the exhaust becomes a restriction anyway. Unless you are upgrading the turbo in the search of more power or just want the sound, I reckon keep it stock.
Cheers. The photo shows the cooler more than in real life too. It's a true sleeper at the moment! Only thing I don't like under the bonnet is the BOV outlet hose. Looks ugly. I think I'll look at doing something else there.
Im really suprised how well it puts the power down to be honest. When provoked it will fry the tyres but generally its fine. Also suprising how well the open center diff goes. Always spins both tyres...
Yep. Doing it easy. Turbo port definately did work - 12psi flat right through, juuuust tailing off at the end due to the stock exhaust. Stock exhaust still. Turbo wont make a whole lot more than that anyway - as Mexicanbatman eluded to. You gotta pay to play. Simple as that. Insurance isnt a problem with Shannons. Cost a fair bit. I could have done it a lot cheaper without going for things like the PW stage 3 and the ID injectors. Call up Mick or Bel and they'll set you straight on prices.
So I picked this up from Pitlane today. Wow. It seriously hauls! 316rwkw at a lazy 12psi! Very happy with it and the crew at Pitlane Performance. Highly recommended.
Im upgrading it because it's cheap insurance for me at the power level I'll be at. Car was dropped off this morning at Pit Lane Performance. Can't wait to see how it drives afterwards!
