  1. Thanks mate. Short and to the point, but effective. Getting the mods done chasing around 260 - 270 rwks, is it worth removing then or not really???
  2. Hi there guys and gals. I know this has been covered before, but after checking all the links I could find a straight answer. I am still wanting to know as to whether removing the centre muffler is going to give me a slight power gain. I am off to see Mick at pitlane very soon for some slight mods before the Tassie cruise. Any help would be much appreciated as might be getting it removed Saturday morning. Regards Stoney.
  3. Thanks for the addy mate. I will have it in the mail on Monday 22/12. I will mark the pages I think will be of interest and give you some other contact details for myself, if you need a hand.
  4. G'day Brad, I have just got my sticky little hands on the 2008 Targa tas magazine. It has all the Targa stages and distances involved. The magazine has some great info including, Events Tas, offering clubs and some events funding. If you can get your hands on a map of Tas it would be easier to map out a cousre with both that and the Targa book. Mate. If interested I am more than happy to mail the book to you.
  5. Hi Brad! I am going to have a chat to one of my mates who has actually won Rookie Targa and get the course details and time frames for stages. I think that this would make a good template. We could then work of that and make any mods we like.
  6. Hey!! Leave it with me for a bit and I will chase up some info for you. As for routes. Well, where do I start??? Just about every road out of Hobart can be turned into a Targa route. I would suggest one of the routes being the trip from Hobart to Strathgordon in the far south-west of tassie. This is for the more spirited of drivers who want to find some corners, but without being stupid. I gather some guys will want to be running 98 ron, and to be honest, my T is stock and I run it. There should always be 98 available not too far away. I recall someone mentioing the west coast might be the only hard spot for getting 98. This is true.
  7. I'm with xr0500. It would be great to get you guys over hear. I have recently purchased an 03 T and would love to help in any way I can. My wife and I love to drive and know just about every road in Tassie. A few of the local guys said October could be wet and cold, but this is Tassie after all. We can have 4 seasons in on day anyway. As far as routes to take go, please ask me if advice needed,as I am sure the other guys would be willing to help also.
  8. G'day xr0500, I'm a Tassie boy and recently purchased an 03 turbo. I have had some very similar questions to yourself. If you want more info you can go to my thread under Stoney general tech talk for more info. I am also trying to get some Tassie T boys organised for a drive weekend up to Strathgordon. Would yourself and any other T owners be interested????
  9. Thanks for the great info guys. Looks like a custom tune is the cheapest and also safest way to go. Once I sell the dirt squirter I am off to Vic for the tune. Iconic Bionic mentioned a Tassie cruze. That sounds like a great idea. I am organising a local cruze for a weekend not too far in the furure and will see how that one goes. I would love to get you guys over here for a few days as the roads are great and scenery awsome. Stay tuned.
  10. Hi guys, I am new to the forum. I have been sitting back looking at the forum for a few weeks now and am very impressed. O.K. enough sucking up from me. I purchased am 03 turbo about 3 weeks ago and absolutely love it. But the age old problem I am now used to the power and want more. I live in Tassie and and options are limited down here. I will have around $1500 smackos to spend. Please advise best option for modding with that money and best place to go in Vic. Thanks guys. Your help would be appretiated.
