Update So today the car was booked in at Ford and after about 10mins they diagnosed 12 fault codes, 8 of them referred to 4 main codes which I have listed below. Fault 1 – One or two oxygen sensors (one looks like the wires are too close to the heat shield which have melted causing the below fault) Fault 2 – Heater circuit, HEGO fuse blown (pretty simple replace fuse once fixed) Fault 3 – Waste gate not operation correctly (not boosting to set level) Fault 4 – Default max fuel setting (resulting in default MAP/ ECU setting safe mode) I am happy regarding the above outcome as these things are very easy to fix. In saying that the fact that the car wasn't running 100%, means once fixed the 1/4 mile times and MPH should improve.
14.6 @ 97mph 2.360ft, I have done a lot of drag racing my usual 60ft in other falcons are 1.8-9 (e-series), this is my first b-series, but still even 2.360ft plus flat changing 2nd and 3rd, should be 102-105mph...............
Hey Everyone, Not sure if this is the correct area to post this please advise if not. I am having a few problems with my BF2 XR6 Turbo ute 6 speed manual (completely stock). Yes I have completed a search on the forums and come up with some answers from different threads/ posts, but nothing concrete yet. So my problem is the MIL engine light is has been on for about a month now (yes I know I should of had this repaired by Ford ASAP). What I have noticed: Poor fuel consumption average 14.5 (I drive on the freeway 15mins every day to work which is half the trip) Idle problems every now and then (missing) once/ twice a week for short periods Possible power loss (not sure because I have been driving it for so long with the light on) Questions: Does it affect boost? Does it affect AFR’s/ run rich (which would explain the power/fuel consumption? Could the car be in limp mode? I have been to the drags recently and the time/MPH doesn’t add up considering what I have seen here with other cars. Thanks in advance for any info
Hey Everyone, I have just brought a Black BF MKII 6spd Manual XR6 Turbo (Magnet) around 1 week ago, one owner with 90,000ks. I am very happy and impressed with the ute overall. I am planning to go down the 1/4 at Willowbank within the next few weeks so I can get a base figure before modifying.
