    Qld Crash

Yes, but the passenger who was watching the speed on the in cabin entertainment unit swears it indicated 157kmh. The speed limit of the straight before the corner was 150kmh. As an aside, here is an interesting quote from yesterdays newspaper. Driver colleague

  5. I know this is an old and dead topic but I just found this clip of the Kangaroo incident. Flying Kangaroo Warning - Some animals were harmed in the making of this movie
  6. Plus 35psi = ~240kpa, which seems an appropriate number for this car  Personally I run 40/38 front/rear.
  7. Not only that, but as they increase the number of speed cameras they budget for more revenue from speed cameras. Now surely if it really was a deterrent they should budget for less revenue, rather than more.
  8. The falcon has won Australias Best Cars - Best Family Car for the third time. The XR6T came second to the WRX for Best Sports Car under $57,000
  9. Mod the T Wait for BossEdit and remove the speed limiter. You know you want to.
  10. Audiocatalyst may have a lot of nice looking features but it uses the Xing encoder. I much prefer to use Lame. It seems to give more accurate results. Put it this way. I have stuff that had been ripped using Xing at 192k that I have re-ripped using Lame at 160k and it sounds better, even at the lower rate. Oh, and it also looks up an online CD database to load in the CD and track titles as well. Try it Dazza, it is just what you are looking for - Free and easy to use.
  11. Just because the HSV forced induction 6 cylinder was a POS and NOT a real performance car! The Typhoon WILL out perform most of the V8s around. It will be interesting to see him do another backflip on the required number of cylinders for a performance car if ever the Twin Turbo Alloytec V6 becomes a reality.
  12. Dazza I have used a free ripper called CDex for a couple of years and found it to be excellent. It is toatally configurable, even down to which encoder you want to use. Download it at http://www.cdex.n3.net/
  13. Not sure if anybody has seen this but I drove past Caltex this morning and they had alot of flags up advertising Vortex is now 98 RON ... so this may be another option ... who knows ... might have to try some My wife told me about this yesterday. She had to fill up on the M4, thinking she would have to put in the 96 vortex and found they had a new 98 (as well as the 96). I have found that the 96 was not too bad so the 98 should be good.
  14. Marry me, Pedro. ... all of the above + Corona + Lemon Any good port Baileys + ice Chivas Regal ... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I like a good beer, any James Squire - Amber, Pilsener, Porter, IPA, Strong Ale Port can be good (had a 1939 Para last year) but I prefer Rutherglen Muscat Scotch - yes - as Sixfan said Glenmorangie is good. Better than Chivas or Johnny Walker Black. Johnny Walker Blue is soooo smooth that you guzzle it too fast. However my drink of choice is Red Wine, particularly good aged reds. Any other drink is just an aperitif - something you have before you get to the main course.

So what does that mean??? vik <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Silly slapper had the Caps key on and hung up, she was too rude to even apologize. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did this with my box, nothing happens vik <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Are you using a WANG?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I spent about 10 years working with Wang VS computers as a programmer in the 80s - 90s
  16. Yes, I watched that last week. A company has the official support of Carol Shelby to make them. They take the shell of a mustang fastback and strip it back to bare metal. Then rebuid the complete car using new Shelby components and some custom manufactured parts. It gets officially recognised by Shelby (goes into their register) and even gets a new compliance plate from Ford. They are making 2 models. The 500e with 475 HP (I think) and the Super Snake with a supercharged V8 producing 725 HP Oh, and they only make them in the colour of the car in the Gone in 60 Seconds remake. Looks like HgAg to me.
  17. You are what you eat
  18. I was just going through some old code for a Foreign Exchange trading project I am working on and found this gem of an error message that displays if the dealer chooses the same currency to buy as he is selling. If buy_currency1 = sell_currency1 Then MsgBox "How the f... do you expect to profit from this sort of stupid transaction." + CR + "Please note that details of this transaction will be mailed to all Back Office Staff to keep them amused." + "The beep you'll hear is only there to attract staff to your screen." Exit Sub End If
  19. Take it to a reputable wheel alignment specialist. In my experience Ford are hopeless at wheel alignment and balancing. There is also plenty of anecdotal evidence of this on this forum; do a search and you will see.
  20. Geea I was sorry to hear about the end of boof and have been waiting to see what boof2 would be like. Great to see you have bought one of the most distinctive Ts around. Here is what I recommend. 1. Try the car as is at Calder and see how it compares to Boof 2. It may be possible to do the 2 maps on the Unichip. 3. After this research, decide what you want to do and sell the other ecu. 4. Add your own personal touch (perhaps the shaker scoop, we know you want to) 5. Don't add any stripes. Whilst I think they looked OK on boof I think the black beast looks fantastic (yes, I have seen it in the metal a couple of times) 6. Avoid driving over any dodgey tram tracks. Good luck. We all look forward to following your further exploits.
  21. Yes, that sounds like good activities for a muck-up day. We kidnapped a teacher early in the morning (from his house) and hand-cuffed him to a tree in a busy part of the school. We also charged to enter the school by car. We spent weeks before the day 'borrowing' road work signs and barricades from around the district and then blockaded the whole street and generally caused chaos. We were also dressed in SES overalls and hats and charged anyone who entered the school. Get to school at around 4am - yes. Take a ladder and remove all of the hammers from the bells. Make sure you get every single one, so you have to make a map in advance. It took our school a couple of years to get them replaced. For that time it ran on a couple of kids walking around ringing a bell by hand whenever it was required. Make a major obstacle (pile of furniture, desks, garden seats, whatever) in the busiest thoroughfare in the school.
