  1. If you saw how much was dropped in price in a short period of time, it makes sense that the guy is moving, as well as moving to a country town 40 minutes from my own. His missus BA XR6 that was there had the same wear marks in the plastic from where the seatbelt rubs. I will have a look at mates BA/BF's to confirm, but it appears to be a common design flaw. Pedals, steering wheel, bolsters, gearknob etc are excellent condition/consistent for the km's. He had the transfer from when he bought it from NSW, 3 years ago, 20,000kms less, and given he has two other cars, and lives in inner eastern melb subs, I see no reason why he would have swapped the dash to save what; 10,000 or 15000kms? I used to be a roadworthy mechanic, so am not worried at all about service history, given the condition of the car. There are many more factors that determine the value of a second hand car.
  2. My bother bought it. No service history unfortunately, as they are in the middle of a move, but moving locally. so may be able to pick up the book when they unpack. Another thing I noticed has teh plastic on the b pillars gets worn from the seatbelts. This appears to be a common thing too.
  3. I have searched, but have not found anything like this, and thought that it would make a great sticky for members to contribute to for new members and owners of XR6Ts. The reason I bring this up is in 8 hrs (hahaha, always leave to teh last minute) My brother and I are going to look at a few F6's and XR6ts. What I would like to know are what are the common things to look out for, specific to the XR6T/F6? This is what I know from my little experience: Rear diff bushes Differential noise Turbo bearing noise Brakes Rust around front of bootlid. What other BA/BF/FG specific problems are there?
  4. What are the issues stopping the use of a conventional stall converter? What are people currently doing for converters?
  5. Can the ZF's be externally filtered? Like have one in the cooler line? Or would this require a lot of custom parts/modification? With proper cooling and fluid, what sort of power do they handle?

    What are the flash tuners available? Where are they from? I have had my interest in XR6t's sparked again, and when I last looked it was obvious and simple as to what was available, where from, and how much.
  7. That is good to know, will have to get one and have a play with it. I have played around with a EMS Dualsport on an ae86 4AGE 20v before, and that was very interesting, and this sounds even simpler and better
