  5. Fair call, yeah a few of the boys I used to kick around with used to pay out my mate with a 200 saying ohh its got blue smoke coming out the zaust looks like ya engines guna kark it lol, so I figured that much, but thanks for the advise dude,
  6. hey ppls, last few nights I been noticing when I take off from lights when there is a car behind me I can see smoke coming from the zaust, im guessing its from running lean. im not sure why its running lean all it has is a flash tuner which I have set back to the factory setting so im now stuck for ideas, maybe there is a leak in one of the pipes? duno if that would cause this, its not running rich because the smoke comes way beofre im on boost, from what I can see its a cleary smoke which is troubling me because that's the warning signs of 'detonation" but my cars still under warentee but I thought id get some suggestions all the same, maybe someones has a similar problem, cheers.

  8. G'day ppls. Okay ill start with what I want to do, keeping in mind I realise what im doing is bad and such I just wanted some advise on the outcome, okay from experience I used to have a skyline r33 and when I blocked off the blow off valve the car would try and stall when the flutter woould go off for example the revs would drop for a few moments then pick back up now what I dont know is why this happens and if I do block my ute up will I have the same problem? If anyone has some experience with this it would be highly appreciated or even if someone can tell me the ins and outs of whats actually happening when the car trys to stall, I havnt blocked it yet im just researching first.   9. havnt checked them to tell you the truth, as I didnt install the flasher but could be worth a look I guess. do you know what the gap is??
  10. yeah dyno was my next move, you woulda thought the moron who owned my ute before hand would have had it done, just very annoying to see someone modify a car not knowing what they are doing. but thanks guys!
  11. its an auto, the bloke who owned it traded it in to a ford and I bought it and they knew nothing about it, but as far as I can see that's all its had done, would leaking air cause this? too much boost? the guy who owned it lived in parkes nsw so im guessing he got his dog to tune it. ahh well it started smelling like fuel around that time and after a few boot fulls it was gone so you just might be on to something there, now that iv cleared the honeycomb its running fine again.

Howdy Ppls, okay I got a bit of a problem im really hoping someone can set straight or have had this problem, I have a mk2 ba 2005 ute, had it for a few weeks now but last saturday I was driving and as I was rolling into a servo I noticed the steering wheel was hell heavy, oh look my car has stalled? yes its not running, so I pull in to the servo have a look everything seems in order from what I can see. Fire it back up and continue my day without missing a beat. Now tonight I was driving along doing 60 and bang she stalls again, I pull over and get out the flash tuner thinking maybe the clown that owned my ute before me had some stupid setting making it run like I pig so I return it to "f" setting, ok shes ready to go again, 10 minutes after it starts shuddering when I put my foot down and sounding like a, its not firing right or b its loosing air from the cooler pipes etc. any ideas would be appreciated. Hey ppls, I appoloe in advance if im in the wrong room to be talking about this but yeah. ok I bought a xr6 turbz and atm its running like a pig under load at low revs it trys to stall, I know that cooler pipes etc can contribute to this but im thinking the fool that owned it b4 me has had the flash tuner running a stupid amount of boost cos the thing screams. I had a 200sx b4 this and that ran 13 sec down the quarter and this thing would smoke it but unfortunatly I dont think it can run happily for a long time in this condtition without a proper tune anyway, but to the point here is there anyway of knowing what the values are set for on the tuner without going to ford? I understand the controller just selects what mode and that's all, prob a stupid question because I think iv got it sussed but its always good to get an oppinion on the matter or 3. Cheers!

  15. Howdy! I installed a boost guage the other night and I was wondering if someone could send me a diagram or photo outlining the line I need to cut into to put the t peice so I can start reading za boost :D Cheers!
