Why is it people think cops thrash there cars every time they drive em. Maybe every now and then but so do I and I dont think they would be doin hellies and dragging em so what?????
I know the feeling of there poor warranty standards. ive owned my 07 t for 6 monthes and it has been back at least 10 times but still not happy. have prob with the dsc but they rekon no prob
I had the same prob. for me it was the wiring going to the first o2 sensor was melted but took ford over a month and about 5 visits to fix even after I showed them what it was the first time round
will do that. I heard also that it could be the slight differences in tyre size but like I said they were near bald before and had no probs.... Anyway long time no hear how ya been.... ITS THE TWO WHEELED TRUCK CHEERS........
Just put some new rear tyres on today now when I go round bends at bout 80ks dsc is coming on and applying the brakes and all sorts of stuff. The front tyres have heaps of meat and the ones I just took of the back were near slicks but dsc never came on unless I wheel spun.... Any thoughts????
Ive had nothin but dramas with my local service department. To start with I have a melted o2 sensor harrness and they want me to wait 3 weeks so they can find a second hand piece from a wrecking yard so they can butcher my harrness and join a used one up. NOT HAPPY TO START WITH..... Then they replace the boots on the steering rack and now the car vibrates at 110.... NOT HAPPY.... Bump into a mate yesterday and he tells me he seen 2 young mechanics flogging the arse outa my car while they were test driving it.. I see red and drive straight down there give em a mouthfull...... 50ks and a year and a half old the warranty is for apprentices to practice on new cars... The warranty means nothing to me now cause they are never touching my car ever again.........
The engine light only came on after I wet the engine. So when I drove it with the engine light on I just took it very easy cause dont know if it would be running lean or something. I have to drive it down the freeway tommorow about 50 kays to get it to ford so fingers crossed.
At the end of the day, its under ford new car warranty for another 1.5 years, so if something happens, ford should have me covered. Anyone have any experience dealing with ford warranty if something happens? Its a lucky dip really
Hey guys Washed the T today and give the engine a little bit of a clean as well. Then I went out and the engine light is on there and back. Never came on before so im thinking water in a electrical plug or sumthin. So I have a read through the forum and came up with the o2 sensor or wastegate acuator plugs. So I take some bits and pieces off to have a looksee and check all the turbo bolts at the same time(first time to have a check) and I find that the o2 sensor wires are all cooked and green(no insulation left) about 2 inches worth just at the back of the head. So im thinking that I got a bit of water on the bare wires and it has earthed them together. I have run outa light so ill have to try tape them up 2morrow and get it to fraud to fix cause its still under warranty. It must be the prob cause it looks like 3 or 4 wires are touching each other. Just thought I would share that cause I aint read nothin bout it. Cheers..... PS none of the turbo bolts were loose......
I do the same neutral brake off let the car move then park if I remember. Got a habit of leaving it in neutral though. Adjust the handbrake by taking the back wheels off and pulling the little rubber plugs out the back disc then winding up the little screw thingys in there. Bit of a c#nt job if you aint done it before.
SPOT ON!!!!! Ya know when the tunes are off and you can hear rattles, squeels, squeaks, clunks, creaks and me cursing bout a year old car thts all within spec.....But the motor and zf make up for it I spose
I heard or read somewhere (maybe on this forum) that they have the filter there cause garret wouldnt warrant there turbos unless ford put it on. Reason bein I beleive is some problem with removing all the sand from the block after casting them. The way I see it is peaple are taking them off and finding small shavings of metal so they are doin there job really. Replaced after a run in period I think they would be fine. Ive done near 50k and I will be changing it at my next service. cheers.
