  1. Thanks Guys, Done the solenoid maintenance with no change. Just had a look at the actuator shaft, it moves from side to side very easily so I am guessing that it is the clip. Where can you get the clip from? and also do you have to take the turbo off to insert the new clip? Cheers Woody
  2. Yeah, Its all stock, just clicked over 105km. Will look at some mods later this year. I have checked for any airleaks but all looks good.
  3. Hey Guys, Having a problem with boost at low rev range. I dont feel the turbo start to kick in till abou 5K, its like driving a na xr6 till then. Im thinking it may be a wastegate problem but im not much of a techy with turbos as this is the first one ive owned. Any ideas would be great, Cheers Woody BA Turbo
  4. Thanks Mike, saved me alot of time and money, Owe ya a few beers, Cheers
  5. Mate, be very careful, I recently looked at a 2005 manual turbo with 53 on the clock that was advertised on carpoint. the guy was asking 18000. After doing some checks I found that the car was a collision write off, not to be repaired. NSW Police then informed me that the vehicle was suspected as being a rebirthed car, so the guy now has some explaining to do.
  6. I just insured my BA turbo with AAMI, I paid $591 for the year with an excess of 1500. I put the excess up as high as I could to save money on premium. The premium will also go down next year when I turn 30.
  7. before you would buy an ex cop car you would have to think about the facts. 1. All cop cars are driven hard, (except for the unmarked pencil pushes cars). 2. 99% of XR6T that were cop cars in their former life are most likely to be highway cars, these have deffinately been driven hard. 3. For some reason everyone thinks that cop cars are "tricked up". This maybe true in the old days but these days there is nothing done too them to make them any better. There are "Police packs" for cars but my understanding is these only have different wiring to the normal cars. In my opinion I would never buy an ex cop car and guess what I do for a livin????, but that's only my opinion.
  8. G'day Guys, Name - Aaron Age - 29 Occupation - Scooter Pig Live - Canberra Own - BA XR6T I have actually been a Expensive Daewoo Fan my whole life, but I drove a turbo at work and loved it so much I had to have one.
