    Head On Collisions

nah when I get my T it's defainately getting debadged.. the only badges left on will be the blue oval baby... and in my opinion that's all them loin cub poofs need to see when I'm screaming in front
  3. Thanks for all the feedback guys, looks like a pretty landside victory on fords behalf. ExAreSix - my deepest sympathy for your problems, I know what it's like to have a car you can't drive and problems that the 'experts' cannot fix. hope it all sorts itself out
  4. Well I know a few of you have had XR6 turbos since they first rolled off the factory floor early last year and I'm just wondering how thier durability is. as my old man as much of a ford man as he is said the fords always got squeeky and rattley after they put on a few miles.. so yeah, hows yours holding up... as I plan on putting a hell of a lot of doof in mine and don't want it falling apart at the seams hehehe Cheers, Matt
  5. will this just make it sporty sounding or actually do something for performance, as I was considering putting the APS system on my car?
  6. Been cuirious about those pollen filters, are they worth the $$ ?? I'm not a big air-con (HP thief) fan.. but in these 35 degree days it's been needing in a BAD way... I dropped into my k-mart and couldn't find that stuff, which store did you get it from DallasQLD?
  7. perfect, that's just what I wanted thanks guys, /me starts saving $150
  8. nice mate, that's really cheap!
  9. just seeing that people talking about waterspray stuff, I didn't expect to find many people talking about waterspray setups on here, being the wrx kid, I've toyed around plenty with watersprays, I've currently found the best value for money is the autospeed intelligent waterspray controller ($107) and then buying a sprayer and secondary pump from the washer bottle. It is tuned by I/c temp & injector duty, so basically you accelorate and have a friend in the passenger seat set the position for the injector side, then heat the I/c up to a desired temp for the 2nd factor of the sprayer, now when both conditions are met which in reality is the only need for a waterspray (when you get up it while the cooler is hot) the sprayers will spray the core. I tested this quite extensively against hobbs pressure switch (boost activated) and uni-chip/exede controlled sprayers... and I found if you want to save money and not fill up your waterbottle as much this is the BEST method. alternatively you can set it to a very low temp and like 10% throttle duty and it'll spray just as much as any of these auto ones... just my two cents. p.s. congrats on those figures, I know guys with lil 4 bangers that spend 10's of thousands of $$$ to get the 200kw atw figure go big sixes! Cheers, Matt
  10. strange question, but I'm wondering if anyone has a mp3 or sound bite of thier T with a 3" of 3.5" system like at idle and reving? I'm just curious as to what they sound like with a aftermarket system on. hope someone can help Cheers, Matt
  11. A lot of car salesman & workshop boys always try to scare the truth out of you, as I once had a blown AFM sensor on my wrx and they blamed it on over oiling my K&N filter which was most likely the case, however I played dumb and said that filter was on the car when I bought it 2nd hand, since the salesman who sold me the car could no longer remember they ended up back-n-fourthing for a few days and eventually got it replaced under the zupps used car warranty. although that said, now my mates workshop services my car for me. hell anyone can do a filter/oil change, and any work/services on my T when I get it will most likely get done there too.
  12. I've just been having a look at carminder which is a GPS system which provides free updates and awesome accuracy in locating your vehicle within 30meters with a UBD reference number to boot $990 + fitting with no monthly fee's or charges. however it is not intergrated with any alarm features, so no exactly an alarm as such, more a anti-theft device. none the less I Looked at the boomerang systems and they looked pretty good, though be careful with alarms that offer remote starters make sure they have a mechanism to detect if the vehicle is in neutral before starting, because a friend of mine had one in his car and accidently left it in 1st one night when the car started it ran through the garage thanks for all the replies
  13. ouchi ouchi, that is a serious bam bam, although I had a nose-to-tail once in my car at 5kph and it caused $5k worth of damage, these cars are just designed to crumple I saw a new KA at a police impound yard that had been involved in a tbone with a truck less just say there was nothing distinguishable about it. Good luck with the repairs Phantom!
  14. Dagabond that would be wicked if you could find that link Well most coppers don't usually bother with A-pillar guages if they are mounting in a pod properly, that said I've had a set of auto-meter gauges mounted on my dash for the last 4 years and only once been warned to remove them if I didn't want future police trouble, however I haven't removed them and never had any troubles. cheers anyway, I think Autometer make universal pods, I might pop into autobarn and see what they think. Matt
  15. oooh the blitz ones look trick definately a good match. I actually meant though when I said guages for the a-piller was those gauge pods you see in rice cars, like so: know of any? Cheers Matt
  16. sweet thanks for the advise guys Bogan special have the rear wing at $630 RRP supplied and the V8 bonnet at $700 RRP Supplied. These would be the two items I'm looking at getting for my T just to trick it out a little thanks for the heads up and keep it coming if anything else pops up! Cheers, Matt
  17. As I'm looking to fit autometre cobalt boost and oil-pressure gauges to my T when it arrives I'd like to mount them in a pillar mount, anyone know if theres one for it or seen it done before? Cheers, Matt
  18. Hi All, coming from the ever security hungry Subaru WRX and therefore needing a hell of a alarm system (brant) to keep all the baddies out, I'm curious as to what ya'll have on your T's as I was thinking of keeping away from the FORD system. your thoughts? Matt
  19. hahah, thanks dswiders that would certainly be the best option, but I love turbos WAY to much to ever leave forced induction behind!
  20. what a weapon! bring it on! unfortunately I have forced induction on the brain, I could never go back to NA albeit a 320kw V8
  21. Does anyone know of any places selling aftermarket FPV-GT style bodykits and wings for the BA? I know Bogan special in sydney have GT style kits but I haven't been able to find any others... anyone know of any I know it would probably be sacralige to put the might GT-P bodykit on the T but the car would just look so hot with it! anyone had any luck with bodykits yet? Cheers, Matt
  22. Hahaha there is a massive variation in the prices... I just got a quote from JustCars as it's the easiest to get a online quote from for $1600 on a rating 2 with my stereo, mags and a bodykit listed.. now I reckon I could get that cheaper if I shop around, and that's $1000 cheaper off the bat then my WRX and I also think I'm a rating 1 at my next renewal anyway. thanks heaps for all the replies guys, it definately is making getting the XR6-t much more appealing. Cheers, Matt
  23. It's not entirely impossible as we know APS have crazy HP xr6t's a friend of mine leaked me some information (he's was a engineer on the xr6t project) and the test cars they had down there all ran 16-18psi turbo-charged engines and made upwards of 300kw+ who knows maybe one of these things got detuned and accidently sold as a street car 2nd hand
  24. $3300 a year!! DAM!! geez and I thought my insurance was bad, I noticed your in bankstown does that add to that, I'm on the gold coast in QLD, so I don't know about theft rates for this particular car. Cro and Trumpy how old are both you guys? and whats your rating?
  25. Hi All, I'm looking at trading in my trusty scooby doo ricer frier WRX on a Ford XR6t and being the fact I'm 24 and it's a turbo (and already paying $2600 for a wrx FFS!) I'm just curious if it's definately worth the money buying a brand new car only to fork out another $2.6k for insurance p/a. so if ya'll could put your state, age, rating and how much you pay per year and who it's thru that would help me out HEAPS! Cheers Matt
