Hi boys and girls.. I just want to say a quick thanks for all the helpful advise (and some dribble) I've found in this forum. It has definately influenced my purchase descion stronly to the XR6 Turbo. I now know why most of us have the real problem with the wait between signing on the dotted line and final delivery. Talk about anxiety and I've only got a 10 day wait I think I was lucky in the way of long delays due to the fact I walked into surfside ford miami took a red sedan SSS for a spin sat down with Steve the salesman talked some turkey, wasnt entirely happy with buying a red one (sorry red fans) so told him I was after blueprint and he said he'll call me if he finds one. no sooner had I left when he had located 2, one standard with plexis blueprint interior, and another with sports leather premium sound and sports steering wheel (now it was a bit over optioned for me) but I told him to give me a figure.. with trade-in and on roads and stuff the change over figure basically made the cost of the T worth roughly 49k drive away! I was happy with this I then asked how longs the wait *million dollar question* he replies it'll be here in 2 weeks.. I nearly fell off my chair and high-tailed it back to the dealership and signed my life away as all the other coasties had predicted end of march! :*( so now I have possibly the longest 10 days of my life to wait! anyways.. thanks again for making the desicion an easy and gratifying one. 10 days remain!

hahaha goes without saying Scootre having a duel pump and waterspray setup on the wrx I couldn't use anything but plain water. but when I was using the additives, I have to use the bloody things atleast once a day due to construction around my area so no time for the pumps to block up! Cheers for the heads up!

the badging looks cool dude... but too rich for my liking though... $70 for a little red piece of plastic LOL.. go ford! OT: that silver grill on the front of your car looks a bit off putting and really accentuatess the big black plastic bit above just my thoughts

thanks guys, I figured this would be the way so I took it with a grain of salt. Big Mick has most likely hit the nail on the head too with the shudder issue.

I've had two dealers now both tell me that the turbos got bigger brakes (bigger then original but still slightly smaller then premium) in the form of larger calipers and better pads... any truth in that? also anyone whose opted not to fit premium brakes to Dec 03 onwards cars, your experiences? I tell ya what, after test driving the SSS today.. I'm really torn as to what to get now... I was all set on the manual.. and the sales manager from Denmac ford said nah.. ya gotta atleast take it for a spin before you decide... and I did and I was thoroughly impressed!!!!!!! and with the inevitable T56 coming in series II I dunno why I'd want to try the T5, T standing for Truck hehehe

Now that I have your attention, lets talk about the price of eggs in china... JUST KIDDING whilst down at my local ford dealership I was chin wagging with the sales manager whose going to sell me my new car and just before we hit the sign here bit he goes, are you sure you don't want to wait for series II? I'm LIKE W.T.F! MAN !! and he says well... series II due out october 2004, will feature (amoung others) SSS 5spd, manual 6 speed, more power, more torque, enhanced drivability and fresh outta Jenny Craig (his words) at 200-250 kilos lighter! He seemed pretty geniune so I had no reason to doubt him so.. do with this as you will and read into it however you want.. and don't shoot the LACKY :banghead: PEACE!

When I got my WRX done by either Express Tinting or Supertint (I can't remember as they are side by side) it was $40 a window and $90 for the rear so.. $250 all up and that was 3M tinting, life time warranty blah blah and 2 shades darker the legal.. it looks awesome, definately darker the better

Hi Stef, by Press Meter does that do oil pressure? and do the gauges/pod come with everything needed to fit? or are additional components required? and what sort of money is involved in colour coding? I'm sure I speak for all members, but those discounts are AWESOME!

Now seriously, I am for real here, I'm not having a go at Late model camira owners one bit, so mods please don't think this is me taking a dig at commodores... but one of my friends (ghey) who subscribes to a sydney ghey and l3sbian news letter said that the Late model camira was voted ghey mans choice of vehicle in thier latests edition. comments for the Late model camira were along the lines of.. what better way to meet other man then with the 'mans' car. and Just like the advertisments where Mark Skaife rocks up in the new VY Late model camira and all the soccer dads rush him with a barage of questions it is very common for a ghey man to attract the same attention with thier own car. anyway since printing of this article Expensive Daewoo are advertising more and more in the above mentioned magazine (which I can't remember the name of) I thought people would find this funny since the BA Turbo was dubbed a chick magnet! :o Cheers, Matt
