  1. Thanks guys, that would have been my next question, if the wheels on the AU are the same (and it shouldn't be too hard to find a set) if they'll fit properly around the BA caliper. Hopefully it shouldn't be a problem or too much of a problem. Time to start ringing some wreckers.
  2. Could someone also tell me the sizes of the au -vs- ba wheels... I.e 245/50/17? thanks
  3. Ok people, as per the topic thread, I'm after a list of any other car I.e. AU falcon/EA Falcon etc which has the same stud pattern/offset/etc as the BA turbo. I want to consult some wreckers to try to find a spare set for burn-outs track days and the like so I don't damage my standard wheels (which will be polished) so if anyone knows any wheels that'll do the job let me know. Cheers, Matt
  4. Hey Gaza, how bout you tell me your secrets of securing your e-tag? mine keeps falling off FFS

  10. thanks for the replies guys, I will try ford direct when I pick up the car. but my experience with those buggers revealing their colour codes is like trying to find out if E.T. really does exist. so I'm hoping someone knows it before I have to resort to scrapping and begging with FoMoCo

  12. If you have applied a decent wax to your car you can usually just pour a bucket of water over your car, then another bucked of soap to remove and grime.. I use mequiars everything, the soap is wax friendly, then use a very low pressure or another bucked of water to sheet the soap off.. if you've got a good wax on it will 'sheet' off leaving minimal chamois time. I can usually dry the whole car in one pass. some people don't believe me until I show em, but put some time in on a clean car and give it 2 good coats of gold class polish/wax and the above will work everytime (until of course the wax wears off) as we've had water restrictions up here in qld too, I usually can do this method in the shed with the doors closed and no one is the wiser as theres very little water run off and you're really only using 3-4 buckets of water.. hope this helps!
  13. that's a quick car! 10.98 for a 1600kg aussie tank hahaha

  15. I want to know what the colour name or colour code of the red on the turbo donk. as I plan to match and then paint the rest of the engine bay components similar colours. if anyone knows it' that would be GREAT! Cheers, Matt
  16. I wish I could say the same... They expect my T either friday or monday... THE ANXIETY IS KILLING ME /me closes eyes and starts counting sheep, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 repeat etc
  17. my mate made up a PPG Purple/blueprint hybrid colour with extra metal flakes in it and it cost $1200 for 4 litres.. most cars generally take 3.2 litres to paint, I can find roughly how much 4 litres of blueprint at full RRP compared to plain white. should be an interesting comparo!

Steve Kamphuis was my sales guy.. good bloke, rang me back when he said he would, and gave me a great deal in the end I don't think I'll have trouble adjusting to the car, I've been around a lot of vehicles and before that a lot of bikes, change has always been one thing I can quickly get used to but all this talk doesn't help as It's still 8 days away

hmmm.. well compared to a stock rex I reckon the T would eat it straightline. but power is as good as my mildly modded wrx handling when cruising around town is probably as good.. I didn't really push the test car too much. but for NVH it's every bit as good if not better in the noise area as the wrx. put it this way I strapped a ute my first test drive and when I took the sedan for a drive I just wanted to enjoy it.. so I only poked around I'll know in about 2 weeks when I get mine and put it through it's paces
  20. Ian, I pick my car up on the 24th (see thread in xr6turbo) from surfside ford at miami I really like the look of the blitz gauges... totally TRICKED OUT!
