  1. no psscting for you
  2. I've used K&N Filters on every car I've owned, even in savings of replacing filters at service time they pay for themselves...
  3. blonk when are you going to finish my driveway
  4. what are you talking about kid factory - I was voted champion photographer at the Beenleigh Photographic Competition and that was just on one photo not to mention the numerous firsts I recieved for other pics... go back to breeding - seems all your good for ... that and smart arse remarks btw when do you want your family portriat
  5. has already - regular is back to 1.20/L on the coast again today
  6. I got three words - don't do it... maybe because my xr6t has been always at the service centre and others haven't, but I can quite periodically say that buying this car was the worst car I've ever bought. it sux on fuel (way worse then my modified MY00 was) it rattles a gazillion times more often then the scooby granted it is bigger and more spacious, but it drives like a boat so much so I can't help but wonder that it'd probably be more at home out in the ocean then on the road. I'm sure a modified turbo like clarke said will leave an wrx or gt libby for dead, but WOT bursts for me a few and far between... I guess I feel the weight of my right boot a lot harder in my hip pocket than others... I drove an 05 STi the other day and I am kicking myself twice as hard now for getting rid of the last one. again, might be spoken by a jaded owner whose had a lot of problems... but I'm sick of justifying fords to everyone whenever I have to take the bloody thing back for something else to be fix/replaced. GAY Matt
  7. Glenn Glenn Glenn, what have I told you about taking pictures of cars... windows up! no exceptions - and ALWAYS have the front wheels pointing towards the camera... NEVER EVER SHOW RUBBER!
  8. it's also on Google Video now for those not partial to youtube: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=83...945516652&hl=en
  9. Well, The official memorial service of that great Aussie icon, Steve Irwin The Crocodile Hunter has gone, hundreds of millions of people tuned in all over the world to see the service broadcast live on TV, imagine my surprise when I saw a familiar face appear and start singing... it took me a few minutes to realise who exactly that face was (no it wasn't John Williamson) but my cousin Daniel. I nearly fell over... So I did the only logical thing a cousin would do - capture the video digitally and upload it to the internet and send the link everywhere. So the ultimate aim for this is for you (yes I mean you) is to take this link: watch it, copy it and e-mail it to as many friends and family members as you can, for two reasons, the first being to honour the great memory of Steve Irwin, the other being the hopes that sooner or later it gets back to my cuz in his own inbox Rest in peace Steve. oh, and just in case no one believes it's my cousin: <div class='bbimg'> </div>there he is back row - 3rd from the left, along with me, the boof-head in the tutu (feel free to send that picture around the internet too Cheers, Matt
  10. from another news site: That poor woman... being the last to find out about that - that's terrible...
  11. as legit as they come mate!
  12. just beat ya too it mate: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=28247
  13. http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,20349888-2,00.html THE Crocodile Man, Steve Irwin, is dead. He was killed in a freak accident in Cairns, police sources said. It is understood he was killed by a sting-ray barb that went through his chest. He was swimming off the Low Isles at Port Douglas filming an underwater documentary and that's when it occured. Ambulance officers confirmed they attended a reef fatality this morning at Batt Reef off Port Douglas. Bloody Tragedy!!
  14. yeah that's the boat I'm in ... pedders hey?
  15. any ideas on part numbers for these $75 kits? and what advantages if anyone would changing the castors make?
  16. Well, for the last couple of months know I've noticed my tyres are beginning to wear on the insides... well after three trips to the tyre shop they reckon it's because there's too much camber in the rears (probably due to being lowered and audio equipment jammed in there) none the less, they reckon they can't get anymore adjustment out of them. What I want to know is, what can I do to fix it? I wouldn't think I'm the first to have this problem? Let me know. Cheers, Matt
  17. I tell you what, for adults... well... let's put it this way I've seen more maturity from 14 year olds on boostcruising.com! When it comes to acting the fool, FordXR6turbo.com has it in droves. No wonder I have so much trouble recommending people to post here!
  18. Shaz, multiple quoting maybe needed ... I.e. when you're trying to answer 4 people in one post (which seems like the right thing to do as opposed to posting 4 times) unfortunately, instead of just cutting the a portion of the quote that you are directly going to answer or respond to... people just grab the whole post and all subsequent ones making this jumbled mess of crap... Matt
  19. yes... we're all a bunch of comedians.
  20. If there is one thing that sh*ts me to tears with this forum is the multiple quoting of users posts. To pick an example - the "spotted the new VE commodore" thread in chit-chat: link which looks like this: Why? Although after driving my mates I must say that the gearbox / shift is pure porn ← There's a pretty good reason right there. ← 208nm @ 7,500 rpm isn't though. ← Really not worth torquing about 208nm @ 7500rpm is just a big rubber band Clarke ← it makes reading replies ridiculous - having to scan through lines of text over and over and over again to see what the new reply is. even the mods are guilty of doing it. I think quote quoting should be limited to only being able to quote someone directly and not a whole message (if it has been quoted once) Of all the car forums I associate with this is the only one that still does not have nor enforce this rule for users who are using the feature, learn to cut and paste only the section of the quote you want to reference! don't be lazy arses and just quote the whole sh*t fight. that's my whinge for the year. Matt
  21. was a good shoot, I'm very happy with the pictures... lets hope the boys upstairs at QSC magazine are too Scotty, want to write me a story about Ians car to go with the pictures...? hahaha stay tuned, I'll post more information (or Ian will) when it comes closer to print. Cheers, Matt
  22. Zap, There's a little more to it than just the fuel economy arguement, I don't wish to disclose all the reasons publically. I understand there is a potential to bad fuel economy with an XT and any car, depending on driving styles.
  23. Ian - The XR5's are sweet little cars, but unfortunately they are too little... I need a small wagon at this point for the photography gear and the pram and baby bag when the family comes along
  24. I'm looking to list at this point around the 33 mark, however it will be sold with 18's instead of the 19's... they've been ear-marked elsewhere and it probably will not have the two Alpine subs (unless the new owner is deadset on keeping them in)
  25. Back to a Subaru for me... although I'll be most likely buying a Forester XT this time around
