fair enough in some cases I have been wrong but let me state that firstly I have never accused you of bolting on my wastegate, I was simply frustrated and had asked chris if you have bolted it on. theirs a difference. and yes you have been patient with me but you also knew well that at time to time I did not understand much about cars as I hoped too. now back to our brakes issue. when I had asked why wore they shuddering, you simply said "you have to much power mate" and in saying that you indirectly meant New brakes. now according to you, you've been in this business for 20 years or so. with that amount of knowledge you must surely know that my brakes have become like this from a much smaller LESS COSTLY issue but at the time machining back my disks and some new pads didn't seem like the right option cause I just had "to much power" and it had nothing to do with the fact that simply this is caused by incorrect tightening of nuts and bolts (fault on my end). to our next issue. in the beginning my turbo had to come off, I even discussed with you that I can take it off and give it to you and you agreed. bringing my uncle around and all of a sudden, the turbo MIGHT or might not need to come off, once more ill bring up the fact that youve been in this game for 20 years and some how, after my uncle came around, you make it out to seem that your UN sure if the turbo has to come off or stay on for my actuator to be changed and the will vary. the fact is if I hadn't brought my uncle around, you would of said, look mate theirs no way of getting this actuator off, im going to have to take the turbo off. then you would of simply taken the actuator off in 5 minutes, left the turbo on and charged me $400 or so for the labor of taking a turbo off. let me remind everyone out there that has brakes shuddering, don't let anyone convince you that power is a contributing factor to your brake issue. the truth is somebody tighten up your wheels to tight and this has caused your warping. you do not need new brakes, or even bigger brakes and if your mechanic for some reason fails to explain to you the real reason why this has happened, than you deserve a more honest, professional mechanic that wont exploit your lack of knowledge. I appreciate you offering me a full refund, very professional and understanding on your end but all I really ask for is a bit of honesty. thanks for your understanding joe

ok things are starting to get confusing so im going to straight it all out. first at the start, I had loss some power, we thought it was the actuator, we discussed the turbo would have to come off to change it pluss 100 dollars for the part so it was a good $500 all up. fair enough, soon after I realized the turbo does not need to come off considering the part could of been accessed and taken off with the use of a hoist. so I sent my uncle down and all of a sudden the price of the exact same job dropped to a 120-150 bux or soo lol. that's one issue. secondly after purchasing the part and you wore there too chris, the job at the time was as simple as changing the actuator and me handing my flash box for some adjustment, now all of a sudden the storys changed on your end. anyway according to JEM and TUNEHOUSE its impossible to jst hand a flashbox in and change a gate without a new tune. now that theyve said that, youve changed your story and the original idea of me jst handing in my flashbox and getting the actuator changed is out of the picture. and too top it off even if I did change it, it wouldn't make difference because the thing is bolten on, it doesnt work the same as other actuators so ive come to an understanding that theirs a bigger problem at hand and to cover it up, weve focused on changing the actuator and maybe adding a bit more boost to the computer. its either that or there are ways of changing a actuator and avoiding a tune and just adjusting the flashbox. and lastly ive been told by cresent motorsport that my brakes are WARPED due to to much power and the only way to fix it, is spending thousands on bigger brakes. now after speaking to top notch professionals in the market, ive come to realise that firstly I do not need thousands of dollers worth of brakes, all I need is is maybe new pads and a machine clean up because in the end it doesnt matter how much power you have, its how those tires wore put back on and how they wore bolted correctly not that im blaming anyone for that but I was led to believe and almost convinced to purchase expensive material I do not need.

hay guys, funny enough im starting to freak out with the amount of issues im raising lol. back to my point. the other night I was driving normally, sitting in 4th gear. thought id give it so I did. I reved it out till bout mid range and all of a sudden my gearnob starting rattling side to side and it wouldnt let me really push any more power out. every other gear is fine and it doesnt always do it. now my car pushes 349rwkw at 1000nm. ive been told these boxes are ment to be very very strong but now im not sure.
-
hay champ. the tune was done with cresent motorsport. look im happy to go with tunehouse, ive always wanted to but I can afford a full retune. and to be honest nothing makes sense to me at this point in time. I cannot believe how my car pulls out that much power on a stock pump and a stock turbo but its been done. I dont know if you work for tunehouse or not but all I want is my wastegate actuator to be put in and a bit of a touch up on my tune. and while were at it, basically everyone here has alot more knowledge that me at this point, so id like to know your thoughts... how is it possible my car pulling that power out in the first place??
-
hay guys. thanks for your input. I understand were everyones coming from, I wish I spent a bit more on my car and did it all right the first time. anyway now I got his g6e turbo to play around with. my bet is on either tunehouse or jem. though I have spoken to jem today and they seemed to be shocked that my fg xr6 turbo with a standard turbo pulls out 349rwkw at 1000nm. he doesnt even get how my car does that with standard fuel pump so in saying that maybe JEM isnt the way to go for my mates car. and tunehouse on the other hand, not that I have a issue with them, they want to charge me jst over a 1000 bux to put in my wastegate actuator. im no genious here but the car does not require a full retune jst to put a simple serviceable part in. if anything the flash box would need a touch up but that's it.. though I could be wrong.

hay guys, got a friend that's getting ready for a tune and some work to be done. were considering JEM- just engine management. what are peoples thoughts about this? are they any good? anyone got work done? how are they on tuneing side of things?
-
hay guys, got a fg xr6 turbo running at 349 rwkw at 1000nm. im starting to think its to much power for my stock brakes as they have a real bad shudder problem. ive got the disks machined back but it came back alot worse. what are my options?? id like to upgrade to something that wont cause trouble like this. what brands do I go with?? and how much will it roughly set me back including the price of a mechanic putting them in. im guessing I just need front brakes?
-
hehe lol ive jst spent alot of money on the car, all in one go. so yep ill see how I go I guess.
-
thanks boys but what am I looking at paying for replacing my wraped disks?? if there wrapd and I dont really have the money to change them for atleast 6 months, will it be dangerous to drive around like that?? and I got it tuned at CRESENT MOTORSPORT. its a great tune. very smooth. though I think I got a boost leak atm. taking it tomz to find out. hope its nothing to bad
-
hay there boys. jst incase yous dont know I got my fg tuned a few weeks back and I got 349rwkw at 1068nm.. now what really bothering me is out of no were I just realised when I brake hard doing 100ks down the street, the car shakes!! has it always been like this, maybe im that slow that ie never realized this or is this a real problem??
-
that's actually a fantastic question.. the same question I thought about plenty of times with my tune. most of the power is in the top end. they way its been tuned is fantastic because its jst so smooth from bottom end all the way to top end then it just hits hard. when most cars have nothing one second and suddently it goes crazy, well theres nothing wrong with that but at the end of the day this is still a falcon, its ment to be a comfortable car and this tune is perfect for it.
-
lol I have no clue what this ment??
-
im going to try and answer all your questions at once.. ok for the guy that asked how much I spent.. well I spent 1250 for the cooler, another 300 to install the cooler, 350 for the injecters, 100 to install the injecters, 1400 for the full exhaust, 750 for the x3 flash box and I think the tune was bout 800 dollars or so.. for the next guy, I didnt need a fuel pump.. stock ones maxed out but it keeps up well. and for anyone else that's wondering what the car drives like.. its smooth, very very smooth power the power is really spread out so traction isnt to much of a problem either. I only get a bit of wheel spin at the end of every gear.
