  1. I wasn;y gonna say anything but you did say good deal or not, it seems a bit steep, what? someonel else would of said it. 03s are going for less than that
  2. its crap, no decent info but last nights ep took the cake, banging up those astras, even if they were holdens was childish and just moronic, what was the f....ing point, that s..t just ain't funny.
  3. well out for a drive on sunday bathurst day I come across a commodore, didnt plan on anything but he took off so I thought,what the hell, well ive only had this car for a month and have been on here saying its not fast enough, but the way I left him was just unbelievable, we pulled up further down the road and he wanted another go, same story,not even close!! ive just got out of an au xr6 and it was always pretty close against worked 6s and stock 8s but this was light and day! did it to him again on the way home so what does this hero decide to do, only 2ks out of built up area he overtakes me on a blind corner, double white lines!!! he figures its the only way to get past me, ive been on here saying I dont really feel the g-force or acceralation but the way it left him behind has me convinced, this thing can move!! it must be so embarrasing to be so comprehensively outgunned,I bet he's out looking for another car right now
  4. ok,I've read all the threads relating to this topic and im still a bit confused,here's my story, I have just bought an 03 ba turbo, wanted to get a capa flashtuner, but also have an au xr6 which I have'nt decided what to do with yet. can't I get the flashtuner,do the au, send the box back and for another 100 bucks,or whatever it is,get it back and do the ba.im not interested in fooling around with the au so one tune will do it. im not trying to be a tightarse,just thought I could kill two birds with one stone,
  5. yeah, I will be flashtuning asap, its weird,ive got the car ive always wanted and know im looking for things to nitpick about, I guess going from a quick (for an au) to a stock t I was expecting to be blown away, literally! I remember the last t I test drove and it was chirping the tyres on the upshift from 1st to second gear, this one wont do that, the old au used to embarrass plenty of na ba's until I came across a t one day and karma got me
  6. g'day everyone, 2 weeks ago I picked up an 03 citric acid auto with leather,18s for 16k, got a bargain,was just in the right place I spose, now my problem is I dont know what to do with my series1 auxr6,its weird hopping out one into the other, the t is obviously quicker but the au (manual is better around town, it has much better throttle response and you know you're in a lighter car. do all stock turbos feel a bit unresponsive down low or is that its an auto and that's the way they are, cheers

I have just bought an 03 auto, whenever I plant the foot, the induction noise is very loud,enough to drown just about everything else out, is it possible I have a leak somewhere? car is stock apart from k&n panel filter. could this explain why car feels a bit sluggish? I have just lubed the boost solonoid, havent noticed much difference

  9. well,there you go, I wasn't trying to start the whole 6vs 8 thing,I was just after some advice on why my turbo feels sluggish and I hope ive found the answer,by lubing the solenoid.I'll be giving that a go first thing tommorrow, if that works I'll think I'll be like everyone else and go after more power!!
  10. yes, I totally agree with the statement about noise and vibration feeling like speed, im not saying v8s are better than turbos, ive wanted a turbo for years now, I just think their may be something wrong with mine, I have test drove a few others a while back and you could feel the accelaration pushing you back in the seat. I run it only on 98 octane, bought a k&n panel filter first day, maybe its just me getting used to driving auto. anyway what should a stock xr6t make at the wheels because the only way to check if its the car or my imagination would be to put it on a dyno right. also does the flashtune make fuel economy better or worse
  11. well,here goes,without offending everyone on this site can I first say I have been a ford man all my life, have owned some serious 351s and have wanted a xr6turbo since they first came out. well last week the missus finally caved in and I got a 03 citric acid auto and I honestly cant see what all the fuss is about, sure if your out on the open road and overtake its not too bad I spose but in standard form I dont reckon there that crash hot. so wher do I go from here, flashtuned, injectors, bigger intercooler, or do I go back to my roots and get an xr8. like I said im not here to piss anyone off im sure with a bit of work I could get it hopping but I just expected more,especially for the fuel it drinks (guzzles)
