  1. Thanks for the reply. Will be keeping it mostly stock $$$$, I thought for $100 there may be a small power/efficiency benefit. Haven't really read much on this type of upgrade and am guessing its more of a complimentary upgrade rather than stand alone one. does this sound kinda right? Other benefit would be they look cooool in polished alloy v's standard black... If in stock tune is there any kw's/torque increase at the wheels with a monza IC upgrade with no other mods being considered for at least the foreseeable future. Is it worth $100? thanks again
  2. Are there any benefits upgrading from a standard IC to say a Monza IC. Only other mods are K&N filter and typhoon secondary intake. What sort of power increase would there be if any? cheers
  3. Thanks for the replies everyone. I've gone with the Nulon 10w-40 and can say I've noticed the engine is so so smooth its very noticable! In fact its so smooth and quiet now it dosent feel as quick which is not the case. I love it. Just need to get another flash tuner, Those things really do change the cars performance. Thanks again cheers Spooky_boots
  4. Can anyone tell me the best engine oil to use in a 06 mk2 bf turbo? I keep getting different numbers/brand suggested and would like a forum input. Cheers spooky
  5. Thanks for the reply. Anyone recommend a shop in NSW or ACT they have had good results with. My car is n 06 bf 2 xr6t with no mods so Im not really sure what to expect.
  6. Howdi, What are the current prices being offered at the monment on custom tuning? Ive tried two places and it seems there can be a big difference in price. Can anyone recommend a tune house either in Canberra or in Sydney and tell me what they payed. I really only need one tune but if there are specials or great prices on 2 - 3 tunes can you tell me what they are. I know you pay for quality but surely there is a shop out there that caters for the average Jo price wise wilst providing a 1st class tune. Any sugestions would be really helpful.
  7. I'm glad you mentioned that. I have been using 98 but wasn't aware they where both for 98 oct. Does the hot weather effect these turbos performance very much, I just went out in it and it didn't seem to have its normal power. It is 35 deg outside. I've decided to stick with the 8psi tune until I can get the 98 and 95 checked by gentech. $99 and they will give me 3 runs checking the air fuel and other stuff is safe.
  8. Thanks mate I'll give them a call.
  9. Sounds like good advice as the 95 feels slightly less powerful but feels better.... Its an everyday driver so I cant afford to risk going to radical, just want to let its hair down a little if you know what I mean. Running at 8 psi shouldn't effect any of the drivetrain should it? Any idea where I can get a dyno done in Canberra and what sort of money Im looking at?
  10. Hi all, this is my first thread so here goes... Ive just bought a xr6t bf2 and love it I've also just got myself a cappa flash tuner and am unsure which tune is the one to go with as to be honest they both transform the car into a weapon. The question is will the 98 tune effect the car (stock) reliability or can the car handle both tunes with ease? Any comments would really help as its an awsome car and I dont want to change to much to it, blow it up or effect the remainder of the warranty.... for the record its a 6 sp auto......
