  5. yeah 98 even tried 2 bottles of octane boost incase the knock sensor was kicking in Just a dodgy generic tune :(
  6. I think the BA had a 1.1 gap on the plugs and the BF 0.9 im gonna pull it apart again on the weekend and reset them back to 1.1 until I get the custom tune ... see if that helps to give a bit more back

Pulled it all apart inspected bits found some pipe work distored from over tightening allowing air leaks reassembled everything ...with care and patientce... now blowing off again but still seems a little down on power eg not breaking loose just before I grab 2nd perhaps it needs time to re learn... but it wont matter cause ill get custom tune soon.

Ive been advised by several people to get injectors done if doing straight thru cat to prevent leaning out and blowing up motor. getting mine done soon got my Capa box with 3 generic tunes from intune ... tunes dont work but... so not gonna risk it and am getting custom tune done. Box cost me $500 Injectors do yourself for few hundred or get done for around $600 Cat theres cheap way and expensive way .....expensive way allows greater flexability when you want more as you can add more exaust without more cutting think was quoted about $1500 Custom tune anywhere from $300 to $1600 then theres tyres.........hmmmm

Posted this on another thread but got no bites thought id try again... im slowly working my way through old threads and I havnt come across it yet but has any body tried using a colder plug eg NGK - BKR7EIX-11 gapped to 0.8? side note .... WRX run platinum PFR6G but WRX STI the colder PFR7G wondering how theyd go as im about to get a custom tune done on my F6 and I think as power increases the plug makers recomend going colder ive read of people using the WRX plugs but not the WRX STI Thoughts and feedback would be greatly appreciated

I wont go as far to comment upon anybodies abilities other than to say I purchased a new box with tunes programmed on it supposedly to suit my vechile given that I was asked for and gave my cars details. Luckily for me, I was fortunate enough to have a friend with I dyno and after loading the pre programed tunes we found it actually lost power. unfortunatly my friend does not have the software required to look into whats going on and find whats wrong & fix, so now im stuffed until I can get a custom tune done. My advice..... forget the pre programed tunes and get a custom tune done to suit your vechile.

Hi all 04 F6 typhoon....Got a Flash box... went to friends.... gapped pulgs to 0.8 as per instructions... put on his dyno 220kw.... put 9 boost program on went backwards 160kw ... put factory back on 219kw... ok maybe 9psi tune no good...put 10 psi tune on 180 kw... friend doesnt have prog for box we just wanted to see what the difference was that's why we put her on the dyno JUST AS WELL HEY!! it was starting out ok then just dying in its ass... makin boost ok.... tried octane boost .... no difference any how looks like custom tune no other option....But...(theres always a but) we loaded back the factory tune didnt dyno again on way home all dejected and I realised its not blowing off now... takin till about 3000rpm to start spooling up... and not blowing off at all. Re entered factory tune again still same drove around for 30 min still same. Any Ideas on what has happened???
  13. Thanks for the help all....... Picked up a new dash on ebay ... put it in myself following instructions I found on or thru here... took it to dealer and he programmed in my speedo reading. Not sure what killed the old one... jump starting or taking battery out whilst engine running perhaps?? ... its all a learning curve DOH! cheers all
