I had a few clunks in my F6 (FG 2010) and asked the FPV dealer to check my bushes, all being good. Im heading in Monday for some suspension work.. will drop the question on them if you like

Just wondering if anyone has upgraded their Brembo brake pads or brake fluid on a FG F6 or even BA-BF - with the same Brembo 6 pot fronts and 4 pot rears? Had a FPV performance driving track day a few days ago and experienced brake fading 4 or 5 laps in, I was expecting to get fade eventually as the braking was quite heavy on corners and slowing down from 180km/h on the straight into a 90 degree turn. Suspension was soft as expected - I have new springs shocks on the way to be fitted next week Cheers

Ha... there was a VP 5L in there at some stage too NO WAY SOUTH... this is it for me... slow, practical 4WD will be next. HSV didnt impress me.. where do I start? Waited from October 2009 for a new pedal box assembly on the VE GTS, City HSV rang me last month to say it was ready to install... had fun saying I sold the P.O.S. and bought a F6... WHAT A JOKE from HSV seriously For those who dont know the R8's and GTS's from 2006 - 2009 or even 2010 are notorious for having a clutch that disappears to the floor in spirited driving - anything above 4,000RPMS. Can just be a squirt from 1st to 2nd and then the clutch isnt there for next gear change. Massive floor to me (Dangerous too!!) and cant believe 8 months was a time frame to get the problem fixed... my ranting over So obviously didnt get a chance to take the GTS down the 1/4

Welcome.. Ya ride looks slick! Is she auto or manual? My F6 dont see a lot of roads in Bunbury, mainly the drive to Perth and around the metro suburbs. I reside in Bunners 60% of the time, I'll keep an eye out!

If the F6E had a manual option I would of been getting my hands on one instead of the F6

I priced up some 275's for my 20's on my old VE GTS only a few months back. $500 each for decent rubber, if you wanna save some bucks you can get some around $300-350 for cheaper tyres.

Power Vision Sound Did you notice much difference putting the XR8 box and snorkel on ya F6? Im still tossing up to do this one or not.. cheers!

Cant say she has had a babied run in, nor bounced off the limiter I dunno about the track prepping always being good on street tyres, years ago I spun 300m up the track in me old V8 commo on the stickier fully prepped surface the drag cars were running on earlier in the day.. couple weeks later ran faster times, with more traction - very similar temps etc.. Didnt ever have traction issues that badly on other (dry) surfaces Bonus was getting a quality, brakeless skid on video with two very long black lines to prove it Hope you guys dont get the same problem I got!

Air conditioner was over charging.. freezing up pipe from condenser to firewall. They bled off some gas, re-filled it and seems to work ok now..

Oh well.. looks like im waiting till September! I'm not trying to kill her, being very nice to her during these early moments

Does anyone know if they will run on Sundays through Winter? They used to do it a some years back, when the weather was clear.

I picked up my new FG F6 last Friday and had to return it the next day because of climate control issues. A/C worked randomly on and off, and similar problems to what you described there. Pick it up Wednesday when I finish work and see what they say...

Yep vixen is nice in the flesh.. can look orange in photos but its a rich red. My choice was going something like this WHITE-BLACK-WHITE-BLACK-WHITE-BLACK.. white won in the end, called the dealer to change paint selection

Seems a bit high, there are a few in WA cheaper than that - which is odd! I looked at a 2008 ex demo manual with the premium brakes, 19000km and that is $52990

Just wondering who has done this mod straight up? Im waiting for my F6 to arrive, pretty keen to change the factory filter for a K&N one ASAP - had some real good results in my previous cars with K&N's. Has there been any problems with the factory tune or AFR's just from the filter swap? Priced one up on eBay for around $80, If I can get something in Perth around the same price I will grab it in person... can anyone shed some light where to go? cheers

I didnt consider the auto.. manual was my choice from day 1. Colour was the hard thing to decide on - now the painful wait of delivery

Hey all.. new to the forum Got myself a FG F6 (white) on order, manual, dark agents, 6pot brake upgrade. pick it up May sometime, hopefully sooner! Checked out quite a bit of stuff off this forum to help sway me into the F6 Sold my 2007 VE GTS recently and havent really looked back.. nice to be back on the booost side Ooops wrong section!
