Yeah I was aware of that but how do you go when it is damaged or destroyed either thru heat or repair and ford will not reissue a compliance sticker. that lowers your resale value and can cause you endless headaches when trading, selling or transfering your rego.
Be glad u didnt hit a wombat ive seen an XF falcon hit a wombat at bout 150km/h it took out the front grill, splitter, radiator, sump and diff. And the little &^$%% walked away.
I have the same problem but it is intermittent I was just going to fix a condenser to the battery as im assuming that the whine is the same is in older vehicles and comes from the elec system in particular the alternator.
Anyone out ther who has had accident in their XR? I was asked by my assessor after the ute was keyed "Has ford recalled the car to replace the compliance stickers?" (I.e. replace with traditional metal plates) I looked at him kinda strange and he said that they have had problems when new fords are damaged and the compliance stickers are removed (and damaged in acordance with their design) from the engine bay for the repairs that ford will not replace the compliance stickers. Hence leaving you with a vehicle that is technically non compliant. Has anyone out there heard of this before or experienced the same.
Ha if you think Coppers thrash their cars you should see what the APS does to their cars. we had one car in the crash shop 3 times in 6 months. Its had more $ in damage done than the piece of junk is worth. Feds can kill cars better than any GD
What a car. There is nothing on the road that turns head like a new XR XRT or XR8. Everybody wants to know bout them and what they are like and I can only give them top reports. I havent had a hiccup from my T and its done 14000 klm including 2 trips to newcastle. I say keep up the good work FOMOCO all the little bumps will get ironed out and series II will be even better
Has anyone had this happen. A guy in Adelaide lets call him TED ordered his new XR ute. He waited 8 weeks for it to arrive. The call came through to say that his ute was in and ready to pick up so he rocked up at the dealers to see a ute just like the one he ordered driving off down the road. Thinking nothing of it Ted walked in the door to see the dealer and said " im here to pick up my ute" the dealer then replied " uuummmmmm..... we just sold it! " Some guy had walked in off the street with cash and the dealer sold Teds ute to him. Lucky *beep* didnt even have to wait to have it built. Poor Ted though but I hear he got a great deal on the second ute he ordered.
I tried to get a divider made but it was gonna be very expensive so I went with the cargo bar / load bar with the ratchet and stretched a cargo net between it and the cross bar for the tonneau cover. It is very effective and convenient for all different sorts of loads.
well that's all great but I got fined $76 dollars in Bathurst for having my fog lights on after I had just driven into town from Adelaide at 11pm at nite good thing I wasnt speeding as well
Just got onto this site for the 1st time and was lookin to see how many ppl where on here from Adelaide and mited wanna get together for a cruise sometime. I figure enough ppl get together and we can scare the out of all those commondores round town. Only thing is we gotta wait until the Ute gets re sprayed after sum little did over $600 damage with his keys. ( Don't park outside the Earl of Leicster Hotel )
