I've never seen this before, Its a book called the Dog and Lemon Book and is a mag about 2 inches thick full of practically every car built and availible in Australia. I think ford is jockeying for a prime position in this particular publication with a final line of. "COMPLETE LEMON" :lol: At leats in some peoples cases!

How bout a night time cruise. Meet down on victoria drive on the torrens. Down to Glenelg do a run down jetty road into the city then say a run up to the scenic hotel for a few beers ( lite of course ). Also just a qn? Would anyone like to do a photo shoot at the airport! lotsa mags do shoots on the apron and ROH shoot ads down there as well. Mite make for some great pics with a big plane in the background.

Yeah I suggested that to ford and they said " Nah no way it could be that" Im even thinking of trying the traditional fix of placing a condenser on the alternator. According to ford that wont work but I think its just to low tech for them to try!!!

that's not just a premium problem. My standard system does it regularly. It seems to be a combination of having the aircon switched on and possibly certain atmospheric conditions as it is only intermittent (as in only on some days not others and different times of the day) and ford cant seem to get it to happen when the car is in the shop. Last time they looked they dismantled parts of the interior all over the place and it took me a day of tinkering around to get rid of all the new vibrations.

Dont get me wrong I love the car its just the constant problems that are starting to get to me. I can accept a few little glitches here and there but now I lose my car for 2 days to have a 50c part replaced. Remember my brand new series one AU I.e 1st of a new model never had one single problem so these issues cant just be attributed to the BA being a new model.

Why not! But how bout we see if ford can just get the basic package mechanically and cosmetically sound. I dont know about you but if I just spent another 5-10grand to make my car more personal or distinctive I would be pissed if it still had the same basic faults that they all seem to be lumbered with. just my opinion and im just pissed because now the heater has packed it in on top of all the other problems but I still think its fairly valid

I keep hearing people say "wow I wish ford did this and wow ford should do that" and even "why dont ford do this as well" Well I say ford get your finger out and get your product right before you waste money and time hiding your problems with marketing and new damn colours! I had a series 1 '99 XLS ute and with all the K's I did it was not back to ford for any single problem. that's right not one! Near 100 000 k's in 3 years and it was never at ford for anything more than a scheduled service and people say the AU is a car. Now my supposedly fantastic XR turbo. Dont get me wrong I love to drive the car but in 12 months and less than 25000 k's ive had the engine bay repainted due to peeling paint, and exterior paint repairs after it was scratched by the dealer while it was being repaired. Ive had the clutch drained (due to tainted clutch fluid or corrosion of the master cylinders, ford cant tell me which onebut its about to be done again). Ive had the brakes machined and shimmed. Ive had interior trim replaced ( with the gear shift boot about to be replaced for the 3rd time) I have serious drivetrain lash and now to top it all off the heater has just itself. Come on ford dont try to catch up to Expensive Daewoo by producing new cars quicker try producing a "better" car. By that I mean more reliable and of a higher quality finish. Not a car that will experience a littany of problems that not one single owner seems to escape. At this point in time the only thing keeping me buying ford is the simple fact that I cant stand to drive a Late model camira ute. But a hilux is starting to look better.

its a gr8 pic. im gonna run it off at work tomorrow see how it looks printed. If it turns out ok I will go see a mate of mine who does digital printing for brochures and posters and see how it looks as a poster and maybe we can all get one at cost if anyone is interested. Hopefully he can photoshop out boosts little indiscretion in the background and the street sign on the right.
