Lol the funny thing is it was insured but no for flood! Because the government declared it a natural disaster insurance companies changed it to a flood not storm the same thing happen with my house contents! So now I am full covered but my premium is double what it would of been 12mths ago 2 words for insurance companies..... F#ckin Dogs!

Hey guys sorry for no updates its been a crazy 12mths car was coming along awesome and was heading off to get tuned in late Feb 2012 and on the 9th of Feb 2012 my whole house and shed got flooded when we had heaps of rain in Febuary. I lost everything in my shed, house and the car! The water came up that fast I had no time to get it out and the water peaked 2 inches below the roof of the car so I lost it all as it was uninsured! But there is light at the end of the tunnel!!!! I have completely stripped it and started again and its coming along really well, everything has been rebuilt and put back in. All the custom mounts, radiator and exhaust manifold have been done and next week it goes off for a full cage and alloy dash. Apart from that hopefully by the end of the year earlt next year it will be hitting the track.......... Its pretty much just a drag car now but could be registered in the future but just looking for a killer drag/powercruise car

Who is doing your tuning? I am keen to get mine sorted out after Xmas mine is pretty much the same set up as yours! lol

Update Turbo is here and looks awesome have the motor and box in the car now with a few more toys there...... Can I email someone the pics as I cant load them? Also spoke to a well known engineer and ANDRA is about to approve 6 Point bolt in cages in the next month or 2 so I have ordered one and just waiting on my seats to get here from the US and its off to a mates work shop for exhaust, wiring, tailshaft and tuning!!! looking at having it done after xmas as I dont get my license back till then! Got my motor on thursday hopefully next week or 2 have it sitting in the bay then order the manifold and wait for the turbo to get here! f*ckin pumped as! going to leave the body stock as I think less is more will add esp mouldings around the body also add a lip spoiler for the front and that's it for the body. Then get her wired up and just tune it on pump fuel for 1000kms's just to iron out some bugs and let everything settle in, then I will turn up the boost and e85 and crack some serious numbers!

well I have gone all out bought a 698 atomic motor so chasing big power hopefully have it in a couple of weeks will keep you updated

UPDATE: Sorry about no pictures I took some and I cant upload them! Sorry I am terrible at computers hahaha Anyway I found out last week I am losing my license for 6 mths so I am doing a few more things in the mean time, just order a Comp Turbo from the US they are the exact same as the new Garrett GTX series. Ordered a CT43-74mm Good for 1200hp to go on a 6boost manifold wont be here for 4 weeks so pretty pumped (other turbo for sale if anyone is keen look in classifieds). Just deciding what to do engine wise may leave the bottom end stock for now and see was sort of power we can get with e85 or go all out with Atomic engine..... Anyone got one for sale? lol otherwise will order one, will try and get pictures up asap Cheers Brent

This is the setup out of my BA and first pass off the brake ran 11.4 at 122mph in that then next pass stalled it up launched and ate a half shaft and that's the only time I took it.... The XE was a deceased estate and sat in the guys sons garage as there was a fight over the will, was stored for 10 years before the court battle was over and the guy just wanted it gone. Its in really good nick for a 29yr old car! Paint is like brand new just missing some where you get in and out of the car on the drivers side sill and 2x 50c size rust in the gutters apart from that its clean as. I dont think its ever had anything in the boot cause its still got the plastic in it and the guy gave me a folder of every little thing spent on the car including the purchase slip to even puncture repairs lol!

If it goes bang I am building up an atomic motor as we speak too but I just want it on the road and sort out all the bugs and make sure it goes, stops, and is set up well before that motor, manifold and gt42 go in.

Well I got 355kw@w with this motor and box setup in my BA so with a bigger exhaust and fully programmable ecu an extra 15kw should be do able I think..... Yeah the rear end is copping new stiffer V8 king springs with all new shocks while the diff itself has moser 31 spline billet axels, full spool, 3.45 gears! looked at doing a 9inch but they suck more power and are abit heavier, like I said the guy that built it (SPEEDY Diffs in Mascot) has the exact same diff in his BA Turboed 6 powered Cortina that runs 8.60's and make's 750hp+@w so I am pretty happy with it.

Hey guys haven't been on here for a while been busy building my car. Its a 82 XE GL falcon full taxi pack! hahaha I bought it about 3 months ago its a one owner with 88000kms on the clock, bench seat and column shift auto! In the past few months I have been cracking away at it and hopefully in the next 3-6months it will be full tuned and tearing up WSID! car will now be rocking, BA Turbo motor with atomic valve springs Full Billet C4 with Transbrake 3500 TCI converter Billet Borg Warner diff from SPEEDY (same as his 8.60 Cortina) Full Spool Haltech Pro 2000 Ecu 80lb injectors Plazaman Intercooler and Plenum Mod wastegate and flapper 4inch Straight thru Exhaust (no cat converter or mufflers) AI 3litre surge tank with 2x 044 fuel pumps. Its going to be a sleeper at first to have a bit of fun in will cruize around with the stock 14x6 rims for a bit just to shock people! hahaha also have Weld Draglites for it when I feel serious 15x4 and 15x8.5, Chasing around 370kw@w at first then will take it to the drags and have a few practice runs with the transbrake then give it hell hope to run a mid to high 10 first time out then I will work on the inside as I am leaving that for now. Then I will install a 6point cage, race seats and harnesses all in matching trim followed by a respray....... Then will install the built Atomic motor with 6boost manifold and gt42 then will chase 500kw@w to chase that 9! will upload some photo's soon! Cheers Brent

I am just about to do this to an XE I bought from an old guy one owner with 88000Km's on it, yes that's right 88000! it is immaculate! lol full pop spec bench seat, column shift building it as a bit of a sleeper aswell leaving the outside stock as for awhile hopefully in the next 6-12months should have it tuned and running! love your work buddy

Well I haven't been on here for a while due to a accident in my XR6T, I am all good but the car is a write off......... now to the good news! Just got back from Melbourne where I picked up my new toy, it's a 1969 Capri mods include a 6 point cage, mini tubbed, and narrowed 9 inch diff. It needs to be painted but I will be running my engine and gearbox combo out of my car. I was making 340kw@w in my falcon thru a full house C4 and 3500 stall only changes I will make will be E85 fuel so hopefully get close to 400kw@w in a car that will weight 1200kg! I am gunning for 9's in the future, I will keep you guys updated with photo's and progress as the build come's along..... Cheers Brent and it's a rodders life! hahaha

pretty much a driveshaft popped a standed one back in for now going to order some billet shafts next week. yeah way it is I reckon I am good for a 11.1-11.2 at about 125mph will keep you posted. I can put race fuel in and crack a 10 easy but whtas the fun in that lol

Hey fella's the speedo runs thru the abs just got back from the street meet done a half shaft now 1st run just polled off the line did a 11.94 at 119mph 2nd run stalled to 2000rpm and pulled a 11.60 at 119mph backed off 3/4 track and got back into it (missed top gear) 3rd run stalled it to 3200 took off farkin mad and got 20feet and blew the half shaft!

I am pretty sure it was 16-17psi

*Update will be at the street meet on Wednesday just changed the rear srings fitted front runners we are good to go see you boys out there
