  1. Now that's what I call a " WHOPPER " :cheeseburger:
  2. I agree with one of the previous comments, I think it was from the Courier Mail article about visual police presence being a great deterrent. Having a marked patrol car placed at some of these notorious speeding locations in my opinion would go a long way in greatly reducing speeding motorists more so than camera equipped sedans, wagons and 4WD'S hidden in the bushes. Those in the force please do not take this as anything more than it is, THIS IS NOT POLICE BASHING just my opinion and observations. In my opinion, these patrol cars would not necessarily even have to be manned to be a highly effective deterrent and a cost saving for the goverment. We all know that when you see a patrol car regardless of whether you are under the speed limit or not, you immediately check your speed and become more mindful of your driving style. If reducing the road toll rather than raising money from fines was the main objective wouldn't more of a visual presence be a better deterrent?
  3. What about BIG MOUTH or the "Mother in law" you know big gaping hole that never shuts up! BTW Good work Macka!
  4. I noticed a problem a week after I took delivery, with water entering the boot in heavy rain or just after a wash turned out it was a creased wing seal that was not sitting flush with the boot.Dealer replaced it and no dramas since!
  5. I would also suggest Aries priced them about 12 months ago and couldn't bring myself to part with about $300 a seat. They certainly look the "duck's nuts" and Wayne I think they do have some fairly elaborate embroidery options as far as manufacturer logos etc (not sure on this?) Phantom Plexis might be stretching the friendship!
  6. Thanks for the Birthday wishes Guys, Scored well on the prezzies and looking forward to dinner and drinkies tonight. Been a bit quiet on the outings of late, the youngsters keep me busy when work doesn't, which is rare. Anyway hope to catch up on the next run.

    PETROL FILL

Normally between 20 - 40 k's I'd be looking to fill up however, I don't think most of us get as low as we really think. Point in question, I only just filled up yesterday $1.06per/l OUCH! DTE read 8ks still could not get a drop over 60 litres in. So even if your DTE indicator reads Zero you would think that you should safely have a few litres or better in there??I guess it all depends on how much you trust the fuel reader I know from some previous posts that these aren't all that accurate in some cases??
  8. Sweet looking car mate, love the dark tint job and as most have said great looking wheels, would not normally be a fan of that style but suits the car beautifully. Hey Ken a little more Lightening Strike than HgAg don't you reckon? and speaking of colour do my eye's deceive me or is the engine bay White???
  9. Hey Zap, Hope you have some joy, but I certainly wouldn't be letting them baffle you with Bullsh!t you have every right to accompany anyone from the service department or otherwise on a "Road Test" after all this is your property!!!!!
  10. "Got a head like a dropped pie" "Couldn't hit water if you fell out a boat" "Hello there, three nuts"
  11. That's some funny sh!t

    "Pimp my Ride"

Some of you Guy's might have seen this already if you've got Optus/Foxtel but there is a classic show called Pimp My Ride on Wednesday nights about 10.30pm. I don't know if it's on any other nights but it's good for a laugh, as the name suggests they will take some poor unsuspecting Yank and their sh!tter off the road and turn it into a work of art, mostly show not go and very Bling Bling!! Last night I think it was a late 80'S early 90's Mitsi Lancer/Colt?? Started with PPS paint 18" Zenetti Wheels, 4 racing seats, fully re-trimmed suede interior, undercar neons, neon exhuast yes you heard right! Most of the stuff they specialize in is audio/visual. They whacked about $20k worth of stuff into this little 4 door sedan (10" monitor, rear screens, PS2, half a dozen subs and heaps of other high end electrical gear)the best was yet to come to top it all off what most car enthusiasts need, a fully backlit fish tank  It seems as all this gear they put in free, not too hard to take considering they reckon this car was worth about $900. Anyway if you get a chance take a look it's good for a laugh if nothing else and it will be good to see what they do with a 65/66 Mustang they makeover next week.
  14. Coltyu, that's exactly what I was getting at mate, for a while there reading the press release I thought it sounded like they might be doing a bit of a backflip on the six speed for the XR range. Didn't really make myself clear.
  15. Interesting qoute from Flint that the introduction of the new gearbox is for the FPV range. XR's are not in the FPV stable? or am I reading too much into this?
  16. I reckon it's typical bait advertising the old "oh that particular vehicle has been sold" line but we have others that may suit, could be wrong hope not
  17. I have always had what I considered excessive fuel consumption it's a continual struggle to get better than 400k's from a tank. After seeing other peoples figures I'm probably not so bad seem's like a few people a liitle worse off than me. The only software flashes made were to stop the stalling thankfully this did the trick and no stalling since, about 7000k's now BTW George a little off topic but I love the look of your wheels have you got any other pics??
  18. Yeah I've heard that the pepper thing works as well but I do like LP's suggestion of aspro and milk I'm not a cat person!

    Hotels beware!

Sorry Boys I don't think you stand a chance I don't mean to be negative about it but had something like this happen a couple of years ago not in the T thankfully and you need to read the fine print in the hotel's paperwork. I would be very surprised if they didn't have a disclaimer "vehicles are driven and parked at owners risk" you will find that in most hotels this applies to the valet service as well, if not try and go em! GOOD LUCK!! Hope you get a good outcome

    Nice Driving!

Unreal! As you say fair bit of good luck involved but it looked as though he was always trying to correct it? Anyway I reckon he's about as lucky as CRO when it comes to avoiding disaster!

  23. Mate just like to say DITTO to everyones comments very lucky not to be turned around under the truck by the look of it.
  24. I reckon it looks superb but how many people would put one on their T providing they make one for the bulgeless???
