  1. Latest one I saw last night was an unmarked brand new Lancer station wagon with P plates, pulled over a guy in a Civic on Canterbury Rd Bankstown.
  2. Sorry Tim, but I have had some experience with them.If you want a show car and want to pay show car dollars, then by all means. But other than that I wouldn't recommend them.
  3. G'day Scotty, I don't know why I singled out Wrighty, but if I decided to sit there and respond to every ignorant comment that was made in this thread, then there would be a page of posts from me only. I have been a member of this site for ages (going on 3 years now!) and I really enjoy visiting here, just wish I had the chance to post more. I bought a BA Mk1 probably about 2 months after the first ones hit the showrooms and have recently upgraded to a lightning strike BF Mk 11. But honestly mate, the fact that arabs "were never meant to have cars" ICONIC, or that "No need to bomb them just give them drift cars same result" DBOSS or "Those people are f-cked in the head. That mentality should never be allowed anywhere near Aust. Let them kill themselves on their roads" TURBOTRANA etc etc - a bit much wouldn't you say? And I can take a joke mate, I'm the first one to laugh when one of my mates gives me grief about lebbo's or whatever, but I would think some of the comments are a bit over the top wouldn't you? Oh well, I've had my say, probably won't hear from me again for another 2 years. And thanks for the welcome guys
  4. Pull your f*cking head in you idiot!I suppose you have never heard about or known anyone that has been hurt doing something stupid in a car in an uncontrolled environment. There is a reason that these types of things should be done on a track, you have just seen a video highlighting that reason. Doesn't make a difference whether they were arabs or redneck aussie bogans from Darwin. You clown!

***UPDATE**** http://www.smh.com.au/news/World/Police-na...9401353465.html Police nab NZ racers from web footage October 20, 2005 - 11:27AM New Zealand police caught up with street racers after footage of their activities was posted on the internet, including their vehicle's number plate. The three-minute video of a modified Subaru racing up and down a suburban Christchurch street attracted complaints from around the world, The Press newspaper reported. In the footage, the Impreza WRX performed 360-degree spins and burnouts before crashing into a tree. At one point the car almost collided with another vehicle driving in the opposite direction. "Members of the public recognised the street and police were able to track down the owner of the car through the registration seen on the internet and identified the driver through analysis of the film," Inspector Derek Erasmus told The Press. James William White, 20, pleaded guilty in a Christchurch court to a charge of reckless driving. He was sentenced to 120 hours community work and disqualified from driving for nine months. White had denied posting the film on the internet. Whoops

  7. Just a quick note about your experiences Big Mick. AAMI and Just Car Insurance is actually the same company. The separate company has been set up for the "higher risk" categories such as guys like me (I.e. 24 years old driving modded a sports car). Just car insurance covers the high risk cars with unlimited mods (as long as they are legal engineers etc) with any age of driver at a considerable cost while AAMI will only cover you if you are over a certain age and for up to 3 mods as mentioned. I am hanging out until my 25th birthday so I might actually be able to insure my car at a competitive rate. Unfortunately, don't have much choice at the moment.
