  1. Any updates on this ? Hopefully it's still being looked into. Thanks
  2. Anything new on this yet Pretzel ?
  3. Thanks for the reply Pretzel. Good to hear you are still looking into it. Look forward to updates in the future
  4. Anymore info on this ? Hopefully something can be done one day for a reasonable outlay of cash. It's too good an idea to let slip.
  5. Not sure if this is of any help to you....... http://norcom.net.au/~bpt/can_scan_tool.htm It's a link to Batten's Performance Tuning in W.A. They been mentioned on this forum for the CAI setup they sell. They have authorised dealers in other states too I'd be very keen to get the digital instruments in my XR6T however my upper limit would be $500. Wish you all the best in getting something happening, I think it's an awesome idea.
  6. This is a great idea. Ever since seeing the similar type of display on the Skyline R34 V-Spec I've wondered if it were possible. I think it would need to have analogue displays though, perhaps with a digital readout as well. Stuff like Oil Temp / Pressure, Air/Fuel ratio, boost, Intake Air temp etc.... would be great I'd certainly be very interested Check this pic out of the Skyline setup. It also has analogue gauges, couldn't find any pics though. I'm sure they out there somewhere though http://us1.webpublications.com.au/static/I...11/1185_7mg.jpg
  7. Yeah, they do sound pretty bloody good from the outside, I've heard a couple in the past. Just wish some of that noise filtered to the inside where I am when the foot is to the floor !!
  8. I have recently bought an XR6T (June 2004 build) and was just wondering if anyone knows wether there have been any changes made to the intake / exhaust systems of them in the past 12 months. The reason I ask is 'cos almost everything I've read both here and in reviews says how great the engine and exhaust sounds yet mine sounds very ordinary indeed, sounds pleasant enough below 4000rpm with a bit of a exhaust burble and turbo whine but once I take it to around 5000 it sounds very average, gets up and goes pretty well so there's nothing wrong with it I'm sure, just sounds like your average Falcon. All harsh engine noise and hardly anything melodious from the exhaust. It's only got 1400km's on it but that should make no difference to the intake and exhaust sound. Any thoughts ? .....apart from an APS Phase 2 kit, that's a way off yet
  9. Sounds better than the current 17 - 21 ltrs/100 (gets down to low 9's on the freeway) that I'm getting from my bog stock '97 XR6 ! Mind you I do have reservations about the accuracy of these trip computers.
  10. Thanks Mal, you learn something everyday ! Well, once a week anyway
  11. Quick question fellas....probably a dumb one but anyway..... What are you actually referring to by Ltrs / Hr ? And where are you getting this data from ? I thought the trip computer only indicated Ltrs/100 km (average and instantaneous), same as my good 'ole XR6. Soon to be replaced by a BA XR8 with any luck, or maybe an XR6T.... decisions, decisions
