Thanks Bundoora. The photo makes it all clear. Seems as though the dealer forgot to order the airbags. Looks like another battle. I still can't understand how they can stuff two orders up. The first was colour, now the second is airbags. Chris

Just wondering if anyone out there with cloth seats and side airbags can answer a question for me. On all of my previous cars (not Fords), there as been some indication that there are side airbags installed. Normally a plastic cover on the side of the seat with airbag written on it or even just a tag stitched into the seat with airbag written on it. If you have an XR and side airbags, could you confirm for me that there is a visual que that the bags exist ? I've paid for them, I just don't think there installed and I not real keen on having a side on just to see them release. Chris

Well, After ordering the T in October last year, I finally took delivery of it two weeks ago. I waited this long firstly because I wanted an '05 plated car and secondly when the car first arrived it was the wrong colour. The dealer added side airbags and the sports steering wheel for the inconvenience. To date, the car has been awesome. I previously owned an Audi A4 1.8T and although Ford's build quality has a long way to go, to get a car with the power and the size of the XR6 from Audi would cost an $150,000 +. I couple of minor points with the car to date: * Knock in the front end when cornering. Turned out that half the front end wasn't tightened properly during pre-delivery. * Low Speed power steering shudder - I will wait until the 3000 service to have this corrected * High speed vibration through the steering wheel - Rectified by Bob jane, simply poorly balanced wheels Still, all in all, a very happy customer. Once you feel the rush of that 4.0ltr Turbo engine, all is forgotten. Chris

Just wondering whether someone could confirm whether the boot release and fuel release buttons are supposed to be illuminated. The traction control and fog light buttons are but the other buttons aren't ? Chris
