Yes that is correct, it was set to 300 to make sure it lasted the quarter, tell me, do you know of any standard Clutches reliably handling 300+ rear wheel KW ? there was an XR8 there last night that fried the clutch for the same reason, on takeoff on his first run, with only somewhere around 280 ATW.... So my winding it back a bit was good in hindsight, along with me driving it nicely ! I know we wound it back 40 so that can be wound back up, but even at 280 (Proven as you say) at the wheels that's still way above the limit we were told was FACT for these injectors ! You obviously have issues with the Hardware/Tuner used, So I'll leave it at that and the forum members can make of it what they want ! It did not get to APS due to the Clutch only being fitted early Friday morning, but I also thought that the MPH/ET was more important than the Dyno figures for proving it ? All dyno's are different, and only good for tuning tools is what we were told ! Pretzel

Fredwho, No problem with you stating that the site I linked to may be dubious, It's the Sh!t fights that I was trying to avoid (Like has happened in the past whenever I have mentioned the EMS and my car) I have no problem with discusion etc.. Hey I don't mind people thinking differently to me, everyone has the right to be wrong I'm happy to use any site for the calculations, that was just the first site that came up in my Google search this morning. Thanks guys, Miyagi, Yeah I may have pushed it a bit far up the doubters clackers, but hey I'm just glad it has proven the figures are around what we were saying (Within Driver tolerance for driving slowly of course !) Scotty, 90 sounds about right.... (Oh all right I might make 90 first thing in the morning, after a good crap !!) I guess with Helmet etc, I'd be between 95-100(ish) But if it is as you suggest 4200 that only makes it look more respectable ! As you suggest, my slower run would back up the figure we set it to on the dyno on the way to Calder, so it is good to have results on the board... Although I do feel there is a few areas I could improve on ! Peter, I'm reasonably happy with the ET and MPH, I was hoping for a little better, But I guess for my first two runs I can't complain too much !! Look at others regularly doing it, and how they improve with runs ! What did your T weight on the Bridge then, I was only guessing that it was around the 1750 with fuel, plus 95-100 (ish for me) then another 10 or so for extra crap in the car, like Laptop and stuff. Happy to use the figure you found when weighed though, as it will be close enough to my car I imagine ! Pretzel
  7. Hey Dynowog..... Yeah we may have had Driver Brain Fade..... But how would you go driving a car down the quarter...... You have to then use pedals...gearstick...steering wheel...etc... Not just the keyboard to tune them ! See my other post for my results ! Pretzel
  8. Ok, I'll start this with statement: I don't want all the bullsh!t excuses I KNOW you are all going to come up with, so make any comments worth putting in ! (that probably means I won't hear from many of you !) I'll give you the facts, and you can then decide for yourself (Like you'll believe them anyway !) What will it be this time? Calder timing out ? The clutch issue: Failed to get the good one I was waiting on in time, so had the flywheel machined and replaced clutch with another STOCK clutch ! What that means is that the power figures we had were reduced to avoid slip again ! What was it wound down to you ask ? 300rwkw (approx) is my claim ! Ok so what times did it run ? The car's preperation for the run was to put fuel in on the way to the track ! It ran with it's normal stuff in the car, spare wheel, jack, crap in console/glovebox Baby Seat etc.. I know the tyre pressures were spot on because Ford set them at the last Service (Approx 10K ago !) Hey they didn't look like they were flat so I figured they were perfect.... The plan was to run it exactly as I drive it on the street ! Bear in mind I have run the car down the quarter a total of two times now and they were both last night ! First run, bogged down severely off the line (I didn't allow for the sticky track !) I changed reasonably softly to make sure I could drive home, and ended up with a 2.300 60' and a 13.377 @ 111.12 MPH Second run, I increased the revs a bit, but still bogged down 2.194 60' and a 13.272 @ 108.16 MPH I know the car has a lot quicker time in it that practise would bring out, but from the figures above, I have worked out the following using this site: http://www.speedworldmotorplex.com/calc.htm You can put the figures in for yourselves to confirm ! I used a figure of 4100 Pounds for the car (I guess that's probably close to it's figure) Anyone able to give me an acurate weight of a T with driver etc..? I've guesed around the 1860KG's So what does that give me at the wheels ? Apparently with a car of that weight, running a 111.12MPH Trap speed has 439HP at the rear wheels, so what is that in KW ? 327KW at the rear wheels ! But that's impossible, we can only have 250-260 (If we believe all the crap we were told was FACT !) Hmmm.... we only set it to about 300 not 20 minutes before getting to Calder on Dynowogs dyno... Sounds to me like his dyno is reading pretty good if anything a little low ! how about you ? Oh, sorry you all say it is reading high by about 60 KW don't you ? Now here's where the fun starts ! I'm not going to go through and mention everyone that bagged me and/or Nick about the claims we made, and said it was impossible etc.... And there's quite a few of you, and you know who you are ! There is at least one personal mention required though, and that to BakedBeans...... Now what was the quote? Something like I will pay the site's fees for a year if anyone can prove standard injectors can do anywhere near 330RWKW +/- 10% (hey according to the calculated figures we're spot on !) Now what was it that Nick had done Bakedbeans ? Sucked me into believing the figures.... well Fu@k me, they've been proven at Calder ! Now who looks like the fool ? Imagine how much better I would have been had I got more than 2 runs !! (Yes I'm saying I was the slow bit in those times and the car should have done a 12 !!) :o Put the Weight and Power into the site I used to get the power ! 12.3 would be a perfect run ! Pay up sucker ! Now for the rest of you that had a go at me or more at Nick, I'll be expecting to see some retractions of statements, I'd even go so far as to apologose ? Hey that'd be nifty idea, to actually go back and address abuse when it was unfounded, and plain wrong wouldn't it ? I was told I had to run it at the strip becaause that is the only REAL measure because no two dyno's are the same! that has been done now....... Satisfied ???? So let me hear the excuses as to why it is impossible, and EMS is not the best option for performance upgrades to the T ! Pretzel
  9. Dutchie, Let me state first that I have nothing to do with EMS, other than using the products ! As for long term results though, I have used EMS ECU's for a few years, and have had no problems ! I think experience is the important bit ! But you have to get the right tuner (with experience), then any solution would be reasonable ! Just some more reasonable than others ! Pretzel
  10. Dutchie, There are other options available as well as the two you have mentioned, like TSI(I think), and EMS... I have EMS, but am not about to quote figures again, wait a week or so and results will speak for themselves ! Pretzel
  11. Falchoon, My understanding of it would be that the forum is fine, it's not using Ford's name for financial gain etc.. (Unlike the shop you mentioned, where the whole purpose is to use the Expensive Daewoo name/logo for marketing his products etc..) Even though they are for the Expensive Daewoo product ! I could be wrong though, there's always a first time ! :lol: :lol:
  12. Looks great, I remember seeing something like them demonstrated at a Monster Truck show in Melbourne years ago ! What exactly is a nitro engine ? Is that one of the small petrol engines, or is it some fancy electric thing ? And the important question, what would it cost to get me one of 'em ?   15. xarh6turbo, What problem do you have with Dynowog ? I use him as have/do many others and have no problems ! As for the getting someone in Sydney to tune the car for him I know he had arranged to use a dyno in Sydney if he needed one (because I was thinking of going up with mine, and he said we could use a dyno there !)     *beep* me.... Try to let people know what the car has produced, and this sort of sh*t happens.... I was not planning on the Clutch to sh*t itself, and I don't want to then just blow the gearbox by putting in a good clutch (Deano mentioned his concerns about the box holding the power the car has when he went for a spin !) So I am trying to sort out something Clutch/Box wise (Unless someone will lend me one) I mean if as you are all saying the car can't produce the figures we claimed, what do you have to worry about ? I can't damage them now can I ?? But what it will mean once the car has a box etc.. I'm happy to do the comparison JB, but once that's done, I'll be Fcucked if I post any future figures etc.. ! I mean what for ? to be called a liar, and cause Nick to be called a liar as well ? *beep* that for a joke ! To stop all the sh*t, let's say the car only produces 150rwkw, Will you all be happy then ? Pretzel

  23. Didn't see it myself, but you know if you have made any contact with the ball, and it's a pretty poor thing to try to stand your ground after the ump has given you the finger. Bloody girls didn't like being flogged, and hit all over the ground by our fast bowlers ! I think with something like a Caught behind, it has to be up to the umpire on the ground. We can't be going to a third ump (TV or whatever) for anything like that because that would negate the need for umpires on the ground all together ! My 2c
