  1. Porobably, he's actually put a focus group together to look at the issue. Results will be available in 3 years.
  2. Melb mate, the Police state. If Bracks had his way he would grow a little moustche under his nose and rule big brother style. The state's full of bloody do gooders and politically correct moron's that are actually stripping society of life and culture.
  3. Glad to hear you had the chance to discuss throroughy with him Mick. Good luck in getting it resolved!

    New Camero

GM...if still in business will begin the production of the NEW Camero Z28!!!! It is back and it is pretty freaking bad ass....while I liked the Retro Mustang I think the sneakers are too small for it. Here it looks like they thought of eveything. Production begins in spring of 08 with the 09's avail in late August of 08. Looks like they used the XLR Caddy base, (which is copped from the C5 base), to build from. Bet it will have a slightly detuned LS2 motor... Still I like it.
  5. Agreed. Crazy if you want to convert the existing engine, you would be looking at least $10k. Just put in a turbo motor and your on your way.
  6. Nice Matt, the tips look nice and thick and tough. Have seen a few where the diametre is alot smaller and it looks wimpy. Anyway top job! Oh BTW can you tell me where you got your spoiler from? I love it. Always wanted the DJR one but that's nice as well. Won't make any difference for me now, but if I end up getting a Phoon down the track I want to go the sleek look and that's what I would be looking for. Cheers JB
  7. Love your Work Mattson. Saw it a little while ago, cannot believe it's still there!
  8. The stuff the guys have said is correct. You need to do your car in stages, as some of the mods you are doing are at later stages. As suggested you may as well do your injectors and fuel pump when you get the tune, saves a retune later on. In relation to the injectors, once again do a search. Geea posted up all of the technical details of the injectors and I believe flow patterns were included. Personally with the testing that was done I would go with Eugene's or 968's. You can buy 968's for $120 each, get a fuel pump from ebay and your off. Whilst some people are using drilled injectors from Nizpro and they work fine, they will have limitations and if you are planning for further power down the track they will need to be changed as from the cars I have seen start to have issues at 300rwkw+. I would try and do some of the ground work yourself like the 2nd CAI source your own injectors andd pump and that will save you alot of money. Your valve springs may need changing it will be dependant on your car, but for safety I would start to budget to have them changed at 270rwkw-280rwkw+ some have had more, others alot less. The best thing about putting in the correct parts means you can also change the car back to stock when required. I did this and within 1 day the car was back to factory specs. If you drill/modify your existing injectors and pump then you cannot go back. If your were to do a template of mods you would go: EDIT 2nd CAI with filter Injectors and Fuel Pump Valve Springs (When required) CAT replacement (Whole exhaust not necessary yet) Intercooler Possibly clutch in a manual. Basically look at it that if you start modifying existing parts you are tampering which something that was manufactured to operate in a certain way, change that and you may fall on reliability issues. By the right part for the job and you will have no concerns. Sometimes short cuts or doing things cheaper is not always the best option, particularly when it comes to something like $50k worth of car and fuel into your engine. Cheers JB
  9. Please, Please, Please do a search on this topic, as back when we were still learning and developing these cars to what they are today there was mass amounts of findings posted up on this forum by people such as Geea and Eugene. These guys put in alot of time and effort to source the correct injectors. In line with people such as APS who conducted various testing of different injectors we worked out pretty early on limits and opportunities. The forum is here for knowledge as much as anything so please put some time aside and make use of the information that's on here. Yes these cars have come a long way in only a couple of years however what alot of the newer forum members do not know is alot of the basic principals still apply. If you want to safely run your T with higher rwkw's you will see 260rwkw comfortably with stock injectors. Personally from the testing I was involved in you can take them further but after seeing numerous testing done on different injectors I would not go much past this. Do not forget that once again Manual cars show higher power readings than Auto's so yo may want to factor this in. From an auto perspective I would be saying 245rwkw onwards, however with the varying limitations of each car, we have seen very different results. Work on a general figure. If you are going to upgrade your injectors Bosch 968's have been tested and tried time and time again to be the best choice. (Eugene can sorce these from OS however they have a slightly different code) If you want drilled injectors or other optional injectors that are offerred by tuners, they will work however, will only get you to a certain power level before they will need to be changed to 968's which can run over 400rwkw. I ran 260rwkw confortably with stock injectors, Bosch 968's took me to 274rwkw and so on from there. Do not forget different tuners do different tunes and different dyno's get different readings so if you work on a general figure you will stay safe. You might as well learn from the experiences of some of the pioneers of the forum which will save you time and money. If you want to push the limits and find possibly the hard way it's your choice. Personally with that much money in a car I would air on the side of caution knowing that you can confortably give the car hell without something failing terribly. BTW it's adviseable if you put in bigger injectors replace the fuel pump as generally the stock one may fail (and has done) due to increased demand etc. Always air on the side of caution with components and you will not go wrong when pushing a mass produced car to these power levels. Good Luck JB
  10. Moderators are human too ya know, well most are,BM drivers excluded, What The! I hope you are not catergorising us all Vik!
  11. Good idea Zap. Mick I can understand you are frustrated. It seems to me today it does not matter who you deal with, nomatter what industry it's very hard to get good service. these days if I get great service I am happy to pay the extra to deal with them. Customer service is pretty much non-existant these days, and I am used to having to make numerous phone calls to get things done, I have accepted it as part of life today. I'm surprised at Rob, I know he sometimes takes on more than he can chew with his workload. All I can suggest is maybe try him again tommorrow as he will be back and things will have settled down. I must admit, intially I had to chase them with my car, but as suggested above I just accepted it as common practice, but once things were underway with HPF and my car they were fantastic withe their customer service and the result. I could give them my car knowing it was in good hands. Personally I would not use any other tuner, as the end result was worth forgetting about the initial contact issues I had with them. Good luck with it mate, if you need any assistance from the Vic boys, just let me know. Cheers JB.

  13. Hey Guys. I am having a mobile phone that I had in the UK sent over to me so I can use it here. Currently have a phone here but want to use my one from the UK as it's new (got replaced) and better than my one I use for work as it's also compatible with intergrating into my car. I was just going to put my SIM card from my current phone into it however, I believe it will be locked as it was purchased through orange in the UK. I have been told their are sites I can go to to get the code to unlock it, however I have never encountered this before so can someone point me in the right direction? What website should I go to? I have been told I can get it done for free off the net? How hard is it to do? What do I do? How many chances do I have to enter a code? Could I be completely locked out? The phone coming over is a Nokia 6230i. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers JB.
  14. Is there anything Else? Any form of motorsport (Including Law Mower Racing) I'm there.......
  15. I have a friend that prepares the Vic Police cars and according to him they are stockers. Apart from all the things that have been listed above by the guys are also correct.(wiring looms, alternator etc) There are no engine changes (Aparently there used to be years ago) Bommadores get FE2 suspension and stocker steelies with potenza tyres, as well as uprated brake pads, Ford HWY patrol car's get premo brakes and uprated pads but I am not sure about suspension or tyre changes. Apparently every now and then they will test different aftermarket options, but it is Very rare with budget constraints and legalities controlling this side of things I agree they always sound tougher to me, and seem to go like a cut cat but then again it could just be how they drive them

    Capa Edit

I cannot understand why you are trying to measure a general consensis when there are So many varibles you cannot comapre with anyone. We know each car has different tolerances, this has been proved time and time again with up to 40rwkw difference in some cars stock. Different dyno's give different readings so that's why they should only be used as a measuring tool against your own car as you do different mods. I have had dynos give variances of 30rwkw. As Vik has already stated different tuners get different results coupled with what they come accross with each T being different. Personally you cannot compare what you have achieved with the edit against someone else. The only way to have some fun with this senerio would be to load a generic Capa Tune into two different stock T's and run them against each other down the qtr. That's about the closet you will come to measuring your gains against someone else.

    Nice Drivin/riding

Guys this is from the latest Ghostrider movie. My brother in Law got me the movie a couple of weeks ago. That is only one part of a good hr worth of different footage. In relation to the M3 on the movie it indicates that it is driven by a very well known professional swedish car racer who wanted to race Ghostrider. His bike was mocked up to be a police bike for a bit of fun, but if you saw the whole ghostrider movie you would understand why.
  19. The Unichip will do no damage what so ever. I had mine reflashed numerous times when I was running the unichip and the dealer did not even pick up on it! However the reflash will affect your piggyback tune. I had two times where a reflash caused the unichip to go haywire becasue the parametres it was set for were no longer present. The dealer has nothing to worry about, it's more your concern that you wil have to possibly get a retune. JB
  20. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...ndpost&p=281641 Time to do some forum research!
  21. They are not worth the paper they are written on. As already mentioned ford will do everything to avoid a warranty claim if they can. If you take it further they will fight you tooth and nail until you run out of money, this is their policy. Along as they can state "it's within tolerances" you don't have a leg to stand on. Personally you would be better off putting that money aside, then if something does go wrong you can then get it fixed, preferably by an aftermarket mechanic as it will then get fixed properly. If anything does not end up going wrong over that time then you can put the money into mods or back into the bank. You are just throwing $1200 away if you get the extended warranty.
  22. Same in every state dallas. Unfortunately Governments are reactive rather than proactive. Rather than inplement structures and changes for tommorrow when they will not be around, they come up with reactionary so called solutions to make it see like they are doing something today, to try to keep themselves in government. Problem is we just keep going in circles as the reactionery solution does nothing for the future and we face the same problems again down the track.
  23. Had 5 diffs replaced in total. 50,000k's is the mark for a rebuild onwards. They should supply you with a courtesy car at no charge as it is a warranty job. Don't get shafted. Make sure you also register what they are doing with 13Ford so you have recourse if you are not satisfied. I always ensured I had a coutesy car whenever warranty work was being done, there are no reasons why they should not supply you one when it's their product that's failed.
  24. The VL Turbo's are the T's of the 80's and 90's. There are still some bloody quick ones around. Street trim I think the quickest ever was in the 10's.
  25. Hey Glummy, take out the booster seat, will be good for another second off your time!
