  5. I think your also forgetting something, the XR5T's only standard They do really love the corners, shame you guys are a bit slow ;P Was really a great day, I was itching for the cruise for a long time, but everytime there was one on, I had other plans. At least I made it to this one after 4 hours of sleep. See what you can do if you really want it.
  6. Yeap, it was a fantastic cruize, one of the best ones I've been on. With regards to my XR5T in focus, your forgetting something.... I was still on front of you.... Do you thing I could have a copy of my blue XR5 with the B&W background ? I think it's an awsome photo with the contrasts. Can't wait to hear what the supercharger makes ones tuned on Tuesday, and just loved the sound even at walking pace. Hope to see you all next time. Daniel
  7. I've got sister inlaw's 40th on the Sat, so it now depends on if I can get up in time for the cruise on Sunday.
  8. Put me down as a Maybe. Hope you don't mind an XR5 on the cruise. Anyone doing a meetup in SE suburbs for drive up to Westgate meetup point ?
  9. There's nothing wrong with the XR5T, it's a good all round package. It might not have the power of the bigger brother, but it does love going through the twisties. Had an XR6T with 285rwkw, there's a bit of savings with fuel by going to the XR5T but it's not worth changing over if that's the only reason for the swap. Either way, both cars are great.
  10. Ahhh bugger, gotta work this weekend, so it's a no go for me Hopefully the next cruize won't be too far away.
  11. Anyone heading out from around the Vermont area ?
  12. Hi ya, Try the other brother forum www.fordxr5turbo.com heaps of stuff there in relation to mods. A lot more specific stuff for XR5's
  13. Anyone mind if a XR5T tags along ? Is there a planned route for the trip so that others could meet up at other points ? Also, anyone interested in a meet up point some where around the Vermont area and headup to the main meeting point ? Daniel.
  14. Thanks to all who are wishing us a speedy recovery. we are both doing ok, getting better each day. brendas got a walking stick to help her get around, and now she is just able to put on her own socks which is a great effort considering that she couldnt the last few days. With regards to the T, still waiting for the assessor to inform me if its a write-off. The only problem that ive got is that the insurance is market value of around 27k and my payout is over 30k. So it doesnt look as if im getting another T, too far out of pocket. Ive already been looking around on the net, looking for a mid size car with good fuel ecconomy so the choice is VW Jetta or Golf with DSG transmission ( clutchless manual ) drives like auto in Diesel form. It's a 2 ltr 103kw with 320Nm. There is an edit that I can get for it which will bring it upto around 145kw. In standard form, I should get over 900klm out of a 55ltr tank, with the edit it increases fuel ecconomy by another 100klm per tank !!!! Ill get it fitted with sports suspension and 18x7.5 wheels so that it will sit similar to the GTi. For you info the GTi makes 147kw and is a good $10,000 to $12,000 dearer in price. Daniel
