Hi all, I've been away for a long time, but I want peoples opinion on buying an ex chaser T. I have seen 2004 models for around $24 - $25k with premium brakes and under 40,000km. I know they could be 'thrashed' (as I'm sure quite a few of you do to your own) and they sit idling for hours on end, but with warranty, any probs could be sorted out anyway. Could any ex chaser owners, coppers or anyone else on this site shed some light on this subject ??? Thanks in advance, Mark.

I don't think the sex of the copper is relevant, there are a lot of short, puny, wimpy looking young male cops out there. Years ago, when you finished school, if you were over 6 foot, you had a good chance of joining the police, others did trades and other things. I got a couple of hidings off police as a young bloke when caught doing stupid things, and that was without giving them cheek.....you wouldn't dare. Plonky is right..... Justice Woods might have got rid of a few bad cops, but in the process, got rid of a lot of good ones. BRING BACK ROGER ROGERSON !!!!!!

It depenends on what government job you're in. On the railways, we dont get cheap cars or trains for that matter.

Only 6 months ago I was travelling a healthy 125 in 110 zone at Wyong on the freeway. I saw the copper after he spotted me, slowed rapidly down to 110 as I approached him and he waved his index finger at me. I waited for months for the fine, nothing came. I actually searched the net to find pics of the device he was using, found out it was one of the laser radars, not a speed camera. I guess he would have had to pull me over then and there to fine me. I reackon your safe.

QikSmurf , I don't doubt that you own an F6 and thoroughly enjoy owning one, but after reading most of your posts, I cant help but think that you were the kid that everyone picked on at school, and it still continues in adult life. Don't worry, its just a personality trait that most here are picking on, not the subjects that you post.

I cant help but think that if Geoff Polites was still the boss in Ford Australia, maybe the F6 would've been a better performer????
