  1. ride alongs are always welcome, bring a barf bag
  2. The other day I performed some urgent driving which lasted for about 15 minutes. This was max rev. acceleration and ABS braking through town. I got to my destination and the temperature was near the red and the temp light was on. Mind you the brakes were smoking too. I glazed the pads and had to have them replaced. (great job isnt it) Has anyone else experienced this??? I had to get out of the car and chase someone so it was switched off, I know that this is the hottest time and should have idled but I wasnt able to. When we got back in it was in limp mode. After a while it cooled and went back to normal. Does this sound like a cooling problem????
  3. Its like a new born, smack its ass and it will do what its told from day one. With me I have no choice, it gets flogged from the day of delivery. The last one we got was driven up from Brisbane with 1700 on it. This new one was off the truck green as with 56 on it. Both feel the same at around 10,000. Mnd you the last one was a donkey with a blown engine, gearbox x 2 and brakes so its the luck of the draw basically. As Plonky said, maintain it and change the oil at 5,000.
  4. Did you know that Kens place is the next episode for the new show Queer Eye for the HgAg Guy??????? "owe kenny this colour just wont do"
  5. LOWER THE GLOBE!!!!!!
  6. in the execution of duty....remember this my friends, doesnt have to be a chase, or high visibility accident. Could be a rape or seige which requires prompt attention. This is case law. If a Magistrate says so, dont argue with him. The feel I get is that people wish they had the provisions for themselves as well. I detect an offence or am issued a code then no rule applies axcept UIL or dangerous operation. It is also case law that speed alone does not constitute dangerous driving. In saying this Police drive within their trained limits day in or day out.

    Quick?

I dont undertand how the WRX is quick. Every one who buys it adds a tonne of crap before they drive it, the flashing lights, 30 sponsor stickers down the side, 400 kilos of chrome wherever they can put it. 200 kilo's of fat ass missus in the passenger seat, the complete collection of risk ashley and boys to men CD's and 12 guages that read absolutely nothing along the bonnet
  8. what a croc
  9. bring out the gilo. Time to cut that mans head off. A nice even spread though. better than some paint jobs ive seen.
  10. I do feel a little bad for the poor sucker that buys them at auction.
  11. Yes, good call, saw one of those on a test road from Croydon to Kurumba last year. Sounded very sweet. The 95 year old who could afford it is really going to make use of that power too and from the bowls club though????
  12. The ronic thng is that im the one who looks after it. Cant argue with a bolder hidden in the grass though. Just scraped the sump guard
  13. spent the weekend in Townsville and I saw multiple XRT, GT, GT-P's, NA's. The town was going off. Mght have been a local cruise going cause there was a cobra in the line as well. There was wave confirmation,

  15. TC is dodgy, it really upsets the weight distribution in the car and that's what makes it ugly. The problem with the Ford TC is it is inconsistent, therefor you cannot rely on it. The one benfit for it is that it gets you out of muddy bogs with a smooth applicaton of power and not digging a huge hole. YEs The the turbo I drive is a multi purpose all terrain vehicle. Aint life grand
  16. I seem to have this habit of damaging the car and being the first person in Australia to do it. Ford has a podium for me now when it gets towed to the shop. This time I shattered the gearbox mount, upper and lower one. Cast alloy everywhere. I tell you what it gets some vibration up when you do it to. Gearbox starts wining like a 10 year old cab. All fun and games I suppose.
  17. At 110 you have done extremely well or it was mini me equivallent roo. I am guessing there is some metal damage behind the bumper, radiator mounts busted light mounts etc????? All very much cosmetic luckily. I smacked one once in a work car near Bowen. They fixed it but didnt pick up that the bearing case on the power steer pump was cracked. The pulley spooled off the shaft, dropped the belt and cooked the engine, went into limp home mode thought so damage was minimal. It did it at 5,400 revs to so the belt was wrapped around everything.
  18. Who is this ridgeway fool. Im sure if someone painted his lovely fence in grafitti he would be callng them to drawn and quartered. He should come with me up to the cape sometime and see how it really is. What an absolute disgrace statement. People who have no concept of the game should not be in control of vital players
  19. what happened to plain respect for your elders. IF I ws caught doing this my old man would have flogged me senceless and then watched as the coppers did the same.
  20. boys boys boys
  21. the port douglas road is good too and the rex range and the Kuranda range, hey there all good. Ive had the gillies to myself once doing an escort. Blocked the road at the top and bottom. That would have been me you saw cause I had the car for the last week. The rest of the time its in Ford being fixed
