Have seen a chrome one on a blood orange T. Looked excellent, will try and track it down. The Ford badge had the outside mount in the grill painted blood orange too. Im not one for after market nick nacks but this was excellent
  5. I hear the series 2 comes out with a 30cm roo spottie in the middle of the roof with the control arm coming down into the cabin so you can twist it into the eyes of any vehicle you want.
  6. are you sure... I was pulled over for having them on at night time... did not get fined but was told to turn them off... so off they went they dont teach us bluff in the academy, its a skill we pick up
  7. Sounds like a nice new shiney T with heaps of appeal, but dogged by ECU probs, as things begin so they usually end, and beauty does have a way of fading into complacency for the beholder. If you had a good conquest but her wires don't appear to be properly connected all you'll get in the future is short circuits. Never forget THERES THREE BILLION OF THEM WANDERING AROUND ON THE PLANET, still Curious enjoy it while you can, but from the experience I've had in my line of work, intelligent people don't last long with those of a more challenged IQ. in your line of work Doc you would have the luxury of choice....actually let us all know, is it true or myth that they flood in for the white coat.
  8. my pet hate too but no offence in Qld, they are driving lights not fog lghts, if they were yellow, then Its game on
  9. yea they even wound up the winch. Yea I paid. then she did........ I just cringed at the thought if I met her when the lord of the Rings was released
  10. Off the topic boys and grils but I have to share this... Gone on this date with an absolute hottie, dinner goes well, off to the movies to see Troy. I figure what the heck Brad PITT can do the hard work and get her all worked up and ill go in for the kill. I was quite smitten with myself for taking this girl out as she was a good 8 to 8.5. Anyway its near the end of the movie and they find the horse on the beach and they wheel it in the gates of Troy. She then leans over to me and says "this movie is so predicatable, I bet there is people in the horse". I was going to let it slide but unfortunately the people behind and next to me did not. I just quickly said to her "your right, look at the size of it, its possible" and took a huge mouthful of jaffas. But wait there is more.... after it is all over we stand up and the lights come on, clearly identifiying ourselfs and she says "Well I thought Brad PITTS characters' real name was Troy and achillies was his nickname". Professional opinions here please crew on what to do...... Yes I did tap it to, that good looking she might have been Forest GUMP and I still would have gone there.
  11. Just to clarify from a QLD point of view. Taping of conversations is legal as im aware of the recording. Back at the station is a whole different ball game relating to different offences. Warnings must be recorded on tape etc. etc. Yes public can tape officers and I have had it done to me, this does not bother me in the slightest as funnily enough it was exactly the same as my tape when they were both played in court (wierd isnt it). This just emphasises the accuracy of evidence that is put forward. I have also seen tapes topple coppers who do and say the wrong thngs as well. As with Doc's experience, there is bad apples and good apples, unfortunately you took a bite on a bad apple. From the result call it even.
  12. Let me get this right, you still were fined so you were guilty. How is this a win for you??? I tape all my conversations and all are admissable for simple offences. Warnings must be given for indicatable offences. I understand laws are different from state to state, however I have been commended by Magistrates for recordng conversations to prove accuracy and the less likely hood of ficticious complaints by either Police or offenders. If it was me in this matter, I would have forgotten you already, but you enjoy your glory. P.S I have no hard feelings, we are all players in this game. I would have given you the ticket and sent you on your way.
  13. GO QUEENSLAND AND CHEAP TELSTRA MOBILE PHONE TEXT RATES
  14. Myself and the other boys in blue on this site often do high speeds. Every time I do it the adrenalin races for the fear of the great unknown. This cannot be denied even if it is rare. But hey these things do happen. The safest I have felt at high speed (who knows how fast as there was no more numbers left) was down runway one. I could sit back and look around knowing I had five k's of secured perfect tarmac. Food for thought. Its human nature I guess
  15. no no no no no no no no. How do know???? I kill them myself
  16. stuff the fule economy check out that avatar
  17. yea youd think after 9 you would get used to them
  18. I'm of the opinion this vehicle has been moved after the accident. I dont know how, maybe its been dragged out of a ditch for photo's etc. It occured in WA somewhere, you can see the faint WA plate on the Prado in the background. If you look at photo 4 and the left rear wheel is bent in at the the axle from major yawing, notice there isnt any dig in marks or dirt kicked up indicating is skidded to a stop here. Normally with low profile tyres they are pushed off the rim too when they come into contact with uneven surfaces. There is not enough in the photo to make a concluson but in the background around the vehicle there is no signs of skidding evident or bits and pieces of panel lying around. Main point of impact is the rear in to a pole or tree of some sort, there is a lack of bark apparent which is on the passenger front door as its glazed a tree on the way through. This would have been a scary ride.
  19. I have developed a nervous twitch in my left eye now, damn you.
  20. I think they have rectified the oild usage problem. Have a gen iii at work and has just ticked over 50,000 very hard k's. It did not need one drop ever and never visited the shop once for anything. The t spent a total of 4.5 weeks with the bonnet up before it eaven hit 20,000. I know our first couple of v8's either spat it out or burned it up.
  21. I was always a Expensive Daewoo man until the BA was introduced. This car impressed me, however a scooter would have impressed after the AU rubbish. However being 6 foot 5 I find the Expensive Daewoo a little more roomy for legs etc with the electric window controls n the centre console giving my right leg more space against the door. In the AU I couldnt fit my hand between the steering wheel and right leg it was that bad. I love the rumble of a V8 and miss the little creature comforts that are in the VY. Examples are auto lights off, silence switch on the steering wheel for the stereo. Auto lights on. These features come on the base model so its not a price factor. In conclusion I do like the turbo and would choose it over the SS again. It maybe a different story with Holdens new model. I think you will find its ears would have pricked up with the amount of sales the BA has nabbed and will release a sweet motor vehicle with the attitude of anything you can do I can do better. I like that because THE CONSUMER ALWAYS WINS. God bless the power of the almighty dollar
  22. dodgy vindaloo
