Well its back now and I cross my fingers for how long, isnt that terrible a $50,000 car and you get the reliabilty jitters when sitting at the lights, will it stall will I look like a dick. I found out the problems. Engine failure was stripped timing gear, apparently the ECU cuts in and activates crank case ventilator to prevent further valve damage. (all new to me) After we picked it up and it died....get this, they stated the oil viscocity was wrong and the computer shut it down, hello you fools you were the ones that put the oil in it and have been doing that for oh about 20 years. Sorry im rambling yet again, im a scorned man. I will drown my pain by visiting a backpacker hostel and taking three sweedish women home

Ducati I dont know what NSW is like but here in QLD we do not have a certified noise measurement device except for Brisbane hoon squad It would be tough convincing a magistrate without some supportive Db measurement indicator. As with Harleys I send them to get a roadworthy which means fitting the baffles, the day after they are ripped out. Have you seen the BMW adds that are made and are about 20 minutes long. If your running Kazaa type in BMW films and watch them, it is excellent display of driving and the car. My favourites is the HOSTAGE, FILM STAR and TICKER.

Mate I think beause its a fleet vehicle it automatically gets de-prioritised. What these people dont realise is they are stuffing it for the Ford MC. This and two others are on trial at the moment with possible inclusion into the fleet = big orders. We have had the SS for years and they are punished and get handed in at 40,000 no problems, except for the odd prob. Another station close by has has there povo XT BA off the road for six months with the same sought of problems. Ford have nailed it on the head with this vehicle, dealers sink it. Sorry rambling again. No replacement. It would take a week and numerous drill holes to fit out. They wouldnt like that

November 29 was the time I started ths post with the last problem experienced. For the last week it has been phone calls every week about its progress. "Yes we have the parts and our senior mech. is assigned to your vehicle" Last thursday it was supposed to be ready friday. Monday was supposed to be ready tuesday. Tuesday and it would be ready today. I saw the damn thing the other day and the whole engine was in bits. The head on the ground, throttle body and tap. cover in the front passenger foot well. I rang today and they said the engine was put back together but the radiator was still out and that's a three hour job, three hours whats size is the bloody thing. Anyway it was promised for 4.30 this afternoon as it was needed to go on the highway for an important job. Here is the iceing my friends, after two weeks in the shop it is driven 100 metres in total and it dies totally. This s no bullsh!!!!t it actually happended. This would have to be the most sickening dispaly of service I have seen. This car is a dog and needs to be crushed and we need to be handed another one. I feel passionate about this and its only my work car. I have one on order thatr I am ready to cancel and go back to the "SS". Please somebody calm me down before I blow my stack. Not only has it broken down once within a km of the shop after repair (gearbox) but twice (engine) :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:
