  1. Yes the TIN can be issued with more than one vehicle in the photo. A template is used and it is quite clear which vehicle is detected. The camera ignores the vehicle is there is more than one vehicle in the beam at any given time so there is absolutely no chance of a mistake.
  2. it would be operator desretion. Beig a good operator they would know this. 115 I take in the 110 zone. Negative you would not be safe. So if you were doing 115 then you could be doing 126.5 or 104.5. Thus your stuffed. Camera in QLD on 110 zones takes photos at 122 therfore you would be caught. However if you set your cruise at 110 on the limit you would be fine. 115 is putting great trust in your speedo accuracy plus you are speeding anyway. Fair enough if you get away with it but its a calculated risk your taking.
  3. yes excellent idea, but the big influencial decision is the ease of putting a violent offender in the rear. The last thing we want is to have to lift him/her up exposing the upper body and face to kicks. $70,000 price tag is a downer too. But a good idea KT. Should fit out that gutsy new proton ute, front wheels would be off the ground
  4. Unfortunately sixfan the rules are governed for the dumbest of drivers so they can transit in a safe manner for thier pee brain. I can and most of the people here can safely drive at those speeds but our grannies cannot, nor our unexperienced kiddies. They see a speed limit like that and will do it, dying on the next corner. I would say 70% of drivers out there are not thinking drivers and are drone drivers. People have to look to where they are driving, covering the brakes in potentially hazardous ares, Looking through the corners using the sytem of car control. Then there is the "are you drving to fast for the unexpected". You cannot deny this as it is scientifically proven that the faster you go the less time you have to react and the greater the stopping distance. Pros and cons for everything. I shuddered before I entered this thread and now I know why. Most comments here have a valid point but are mostly biased. Take it from me I work both sides of the fence and investigate accidents. Speed might not contribute an accident but it does kill. The whole speed camera thing is going a little too far. You will not convince the Govt otherwise, so smarten up people and find out where they are and avoid them, its not a hard task. Increase the speed limit to that is definatley not the answer. people will then sit on 150.
  5. kt the way were going we could hi-jack the site to become volvo.com
  6. sorry I can just picture you doing lappies through mordor in your HgAg with rick ASHLEY full boar on the radio.
  7. I do feel for you all in the southern states. We give 11km grace before it goes off. I still cannot see how they enforce those low speeds. Aust design standards only require 10% speedo accuracy so you may be sitting on 60 but you could be doing 54 or 66. This would be a leagal defence under the Criminal Code Section 7 "Mistake of Fact". This is the reason for the 11 grace in QLD.
  8. yes definately the crewman is being tested in QLD, it will be a much better replacement for the caged vehicle "no guts" hiluxes we use at the moment. They will suit our purpose beautifully.
  9. damn volvo's my old man had one of them years and years ago before it snapped a con rod. Never seen someone put their hand through a block before. Oil water parts everywhere on the road. You should have seen the look ont the blokes face he was overtaking at the time!!!!!!!!!
  10. Too true, I found the standard brakes to be more than edequate.
  11. Welcome eager, Ken that's a blatent abuse of the new guy. Corrupting fresh minds. Nice try but dont try and make yourself feel better by making people make the same mistake as you. You just get in your Orc taxi and hush now
  12. doesnt make sence. VX are getting old now, should be "turned over" I know different states use all types of makes and models so it may be correct. Good rule would be to take what he said as gospel.
  13. I stll want to bag a porn star.....
  14. it was his personal car, we do have those too. I show the badge off duty and say the same thing in my own car when someone wants a run. I usually then get a cute little smile from thier missus when I do it.

    Hard At It

god bless blue tooth I suppose
  16. bag out porn stars........Id like to bag one!!!!!!!!!
  17. 1. They dont last 2. Sell them with a new car warranty still in play, a good draw card. 3. Resale is excellent with minimal loss, gain in this case. I feel sorry for the poor people that buy our Mt Cotton training vehicles. 8 hours a day of flogging, ABS braking, skidding, red lining, one set of tyres a day. True story: The commissioner of Police in QLD owns everything, stations, vehicles, equipment the lot, therefor on the vehicles book it is typed in the owner section "The Commisioner of Police" One dodgy used car salesman used this by saying to the poor buyer "Yes this is a police vehicle but it was the commissioners him self so was looked after very well and only drove from HQ to home." Poor couple ended up buying an Inala GD vehicle that worked for its K's. Watch them dealers???????
  18. A mate of mines dad took the three month option. He is 55 and drives a new fairmont so is never pulled over except for an infringement. HE drove as per normal on the suspention and got away with it. I would not recommend it in a turbo as it does turn the head. Actually I would not recommend it full stop, different strokes for different folks. The points will be taken on payment of the TIN as the doc explained
  19. Thanks doc hope you had a safe holiday period. Yes crisso it s up to a magistrate to decide as it is manditory to suspend a licence for a minimum of one month as well. 0.051% is merely a miscalculation by the driver but we must draw a line in the sand somewhere. A persons history plays a part as well. 0.051% with no history (dd matters) may receive 100 to 200 with 1 to 2 month disq. This is for QLD, I cannot comment on the other states.
  20. what about XR6 Turbo condoms. Ooops I wouldnt know if itwas a NA or turbo one as it wouldnt roll out that far. Seriously..... a site sticker with a rice bowl crossed out or something "rice free zone" XR6 turbo
  21. would you like fries with that?????
  22. Turbo6 I got your back, in the far north so our consumption is up there. Please no one mention that VB "very bad" stuff. "Green can" as it is labelled by our cape communties. $80 a carton up there. There lawns are always nice and green (hundreds of tins scattered everywhere)
  23. true, true
  24. Average was 0.08% and higher, highest 0.219%. Average age mid 30's. Lowest 0.051%. Had one bloke with the ordasity to tell me that cars are out there not indicating and we are wasting resources doing this. I stared blankly at him and shook my head.
  25. there not babies when we finshed with them, overworked street kitten they become
