They are a great thing, save my Odessey going flat whenever I go away for more than a week.

You should let your friend waste his dough on one of those over rated ugly POS and then taunt him about how slow anf gutless it is

My god what is the world coming to, how absolutely disgusting, it will be tuk tuks next. I thought a vehicle had to be an actual car to be registered as a taxi in Australia. I had one pull up in a line for me at Perth airport last year and refused to get in the thing.

Must be the lowest K'd BA in the known world Aaron?

Mate he ended up getting a strengthened one from a place in Bris and the Lawyers finally got Ford to agree to a payout of about $1200 for which he is still waiting for a cheque. Ford don't seem to do themselves any favours when it comes to warranty and after sales service.

Check the little plastic valve in the hose that comes out of the rocker cover, they disentegrate and give these symptoms, same happen to me in an auto.

As arronm said make sure that you only get slotted, DBA are great discs but the drilled and slotted click and rattle and it will drive you crazy. I kept a set on the front for 200ks, replaced them with Brembo dics and gave the DBAs away free to needy home just to get rid of the noise.

Got my car back after some tool rear ended it in a carpark and cracked therear bumper which cost as much as a house to fix with the absurd cost ford charge for their crap plastic parts, thank god for insurance. Anyway I took it to Everything Automotive in Bayswater in Perth and they did a 1000% repair and paint job, even did the proper cut out and mould on the LH bar side for the twin system and then went round the car and straightened all the panel seams up that had been wonky since the day of delivery and gace it a full inside outside detail. Now it looks better than it did the day I took delivery 3 years ago, still only got 32,000 ks on it and looking better than new. Finally got some great service and knowhow in Perth WA WA land which is a very rare thing thses days except for XFT.

What you do is never ever ever buy anything else off them ever again. Once they stiff you into a car your on your own. Ford turned to sh!t once Polites left RIP.
-
And then they will send you a customer satisfaction survey. Once they have your money they don't give a toss. I reckon 2000 extra klms and all that time without the car has got to be worth a few thousand. I love the FPVs but would I buy another one NEVER too much chance of being abandoned with a lemon.

Hadn't done mine for 18 months or so and it does a lot of sitting around. Got its wheel spinning Mojo back
-
Apparently quite common mine has done it since 10,000 klms, changed to Transmax and it did nothing so I googled it and Jag have a TSB for it for these boxes which is a bottle of Transmax additive. The TBS is titled Whoop or Bark noise, apparently the E clutch or something sticks then lets go. Its real common in Jags and more of an annoyance than a fault that will lead to damage, sounds disconcerting with the pedal down though and it only happens when you get up it. Ford call it NORMAL and I would bet jag fix it in their cars I was going to ring Jag and ask if they stock the ZF additive but just haven'y gotten aroung to it yet.

Man its just an absolute farking joke

Got a quote for the bumper $4008, $1200 for the insert thing and then $900 for the mesh behind the insert. Holy sh!t $6100 for $200 worth of Chinese made plastic, then it needs to be painted and fitted, another $1000 so $7 to $8000 cause some clown back into me. A mate of mine had his BA hail damaged last march with 50k on the clock and they offered $6500 to write it off. Something doesn't ad up, thank god for insurance. At least my excess is only $300, but not after this it won't be.
-
Well it had to happen one day I guess. I had the car parked in a shopping centre carpark today and some clown has backed into it, torn a hole about 10 inches long in the LH corner rear plastic skin of the bumper and popped it all along the top LH side edge from under the tail light up to the wheel well and broken theLH side big rivet that holds the rear typhoon diffuser mesh thingy in. Although it will be an insurance job can you just replace the skin or does it all come as a complete rear bumper? Cheers

5kph, that's incredibly dangerous if not absolutely lethal, you can kill yourself or someone else don't you know. You obviously haven't been watching that idiot Johnson on TV, and he must be right cause he's a professor

Just another tale of Ford quality. I think they source all of their parts from the absolute cheapest supplier. I know for a fact that they pay less than $2 each for the BA BF FG front speakers in the so called premo sound so the wiper motors are probably less than $10, main thing is that they replace it for you and away you go.

Here's a letter from Hardy Spicer, pretty common apparently and Ford don't give a toss. I don't know what the crap on the drainplug is or even if it is crap on the drainplug as it is my Business partners car not mine. I can say without doubt that Ford have pissed off the wrong guy as he won't stop with this now until he has caused someone from Ford or FoMoCo some real pain, he's just that type of guy.

Yes its a weird one alright Brian. It is Fords attitude that amazes me, if it was modified or a flood car or had been a t the dragstrip or racedays, or done 200,000klm I could understand their attitude. But 6 months out of warranty with only 30,000klm on a stock car is incredible. Typical Ford Motor Company 1 step up and 2 steps back.
-
Bought 2 of them (R Specs) at the same time. Mine is highly modified and if it had happened to my car I would wear it. This is a rather allbeit dangerous and obvious manufacturing fault and Ford have obviously figured out it is cheaper to fight in court than to do a re call. Some foreman at Metro Ford in Brisbane decided it was caused by abuse and Ford wouldn't even send a rep to look at it, they just went into complete denial so it went to consumer affairs who said they had seen quite a few of these instances. Now on principle they will face the wrath of the legal and PR assault of my rather wealthly and very pissed off business partner. Their attitude over this has been unbeleivable, no more Fords in our company or families.
-
This car is bog stock and has never even spun the wheels intentionally, never done a track day, driven like a toyota camry. Just a faulty product with Ford in 1000% denial that it is so *beep* em they can face court and a certain current events program who are presently looking into how common this is. It goes to show how much they care about customers once they have their money - WANKERS

Nice and thick high quality Rusted from the inside out These photos are from the completely stock R Spec with 30,000 klm on the clock. Ford are going to be really pissed that they didn't just replace it. What a joke. A joke of a company - A joke for quality - A joke for warranty. Apparently its quite common across the whole range from the BA onwards. Ford Australia :f*ckyou:

Great commentary, but at the end of the day we got done like a dinner. Thank god we won the Leauge. I think (hope) they will run over the snail eaters as well
