  1. Hey guys, it's been a long time! I am currently the owner of a FG GT-E and it has auto trans problems. My question is, who do I take it to in Melbourne these days that will know what they're doing, and will not want me to mortgage my house to pay for it? Thanks, Mark.

Does anyone know if you can get Police mode on the TT like on the XR6T? Where you get the digital speedo in the dash. Would be really good in the TT Ghia as the trip etc is all in the command centre. Is it possible?

Yeah mate, under $15k brand new from the showroom and it will whip 99% of cars on the road! How can that not sound attractive?? Plus, I got a job at the track, so spend many hours riding around Phillip Island. Soooooooooooo much fun!!

After selling my Phase 3 ute a few years back I have suffered 'turbo envy' ever since. Until.............. A couple of weeks ago I got back in the game! This car is awesome, I love it!!!

  9. Hey guys, long time since I been here. I'm hooking this up with my phone for laps at Phillip Island on the motorbike which I'm doing 3-4 time a month at the moment. Guy I'm getting the setup through is setting it all up with an external gps receiver which is more accurate than just the phone one. Lap times are important for me to have as accurate as possible. If anyone else wants to look as this setup go to www.bitchnbitumen.com.au
  10. Awesome! PM me when you are gonna take it to drag next time, I would like to come along.
  11. Hey there. How's my old girl going? Looks like you've had some more work done going by your sig'. See, you've made a common 'husband' mistake if your missus won't let you have a bike. You asked her in the first place! Good to see you found this place, a wealth of information.............................. and a fair bit of bullsh#t too . As much as I loved the T, the bike makes it seem a complete waste of money, although it's a lot harder to carry stuff on the bike than in the ute!
  12. Yeah, ute is long gone. I got wheels with real power now. Top speed ~265kmh (limited). Qtr in 10.5secs straight outta the dealer 600cc Phillip Island lap ~1.40 TWO wheels and 1/3 of the price of a standard T!! WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more fun!

  14. I feel your pain dude. Sold my T ute a little over a year ago now and was suffering the "I need to go fast " itch really bad. Fixed that with a Suzuki GSXR600! Guys are running 10.5sec qtrs out of the showroom!! The itch is scratched................but strangely seems to come back as I enter the garage, every time

And you'd be one of the people who abuse bike riders for riding in the middle of the road I bet! Yet we deserve to be hit for riding where we are supposed to..................ANYWHERE ON THE ROAD!!! If you can reverse everywhere without using your mirrors and not scraping the precious alloys, your either a much better driver than me, unlikely, or full of yourself for thinking as much!
  18. Sure the conditions were a lot different then. The cars were less safe and the roads were much worse. We now have better cars, better tyres, better roads and more saftey features every where. Calling some kid names, that was unfortunate enough to die in an accident is just plain wrong. Most young male drivers feel they are invincible and that the laws don't apply to them. Its been the same since the car was invented and I cant see it chaning any time soon. It's human nature. Young males from every generation are all basically the same. Calling them names and being grateful they are dead wont fix anything. We can try to educate them and offer them all the training in the world, this sort of thing is still going to happen. You can't learn experience or commonsense. These come with age. sh*t I'm nearly 40 and most people I know would still say I have little of either. I agree it is a bad situation and we should all try and find solutions without any knee jerk reactions. What is the answer?? I dont know, but its not to call kids names or be grateful when they die. Geea. Hey Craig. How are you? Your right, I shouldn't be happy that someone is dead. But how would you feel about this guy if instead of hitting a power pole, he took out your family? That's the scenario I'm imagining!
  19. Homer: Ooooh............ they have the internet on computers now! and Homer: Ohhhhh........ what are the odds of getting sick on a Saturday? A million to one! and Wiggum: Am in pursuit of a..................? Car! Heading in the direction of.................? You know..........................that place that sells chilli! and Landlord: all we found was a jar of mustard and some comics. Ottoman: WOW, I had mustard?
  20. And if they were all like you we wouldn't have these problems. It is when we see them go past clearly over the limit and then stopped at the coffee shop eating lunch 1 km down the road that we question their right to speed. A right which clearly they don't have in that situation. I personally know a cop who went past another officer doing 200km/h just to see his reaction when he got them on the radar! It just makes us think, who police's the Police?
  21. Nah, not yet! Interested???

And then when I'm riding past you as you are about to exit your car, you can't see me up close to your rear qtr panel and open the door in front of me! This is very ugly, you don't want to be the cause of this sort of accident, trust me! And with the mirror adjusted like this I can't see when reversing up my driveway either!
  23. WOW, thanks guys, looks like I've been missed! I've been busy with work and training. I can confidently say I have done more Km's on my bike than in my T in the past 3 months. Now who saw my car in Ute Action MAgazine? How cool is it seeing your pride and joy spread over 5 pages of a national magazine!!!
  24. Well I too was a DH years ago, BUT, the conditions were also a lot different then! And while I feel for the family off the dead boy, It is one less DH on the road now that could kill MY family with his stupidity! Which is good! Plonky, while I'm sure your right and it may be legal to drive however you want as a cop. That doesn't make it right! If I get hit by a cop car speeding with no warning that they were coming up at me at that speed, I reckon a judge would side with me when it gets to court. I know we've had this discussion b4, and I still think cops need to set an example. How do you define 'executing your duty'?? Is that returning to the office to do paperwork, or chasing bank robbers? IMHO the in town drag strip will never work because of 2 words "public" and ........................................you guessed it "liability". Great idea, but who's to blame when someone dies? It was mentioned already, the best way around this is EDUCATION!!!!! Teach them HOW to drive, and teach them the consequences of failing to obey the law, their conscience, their parents and their girlfriends who are saying slow down!
  25. Well it is good to see that nothing has changed here! Just different protagonists! Who cares if you are a Nizpro or APS fan. Do your own research, get your mods done and be happy that we live in a country that allows us our own decisions AND opinions. Yes, I have APS and are VERY happy with the product and just as importantly the people I have dealt with there. I did my research before getting anything done, and after I narrowed it down to two tuners, the deciding factor was the people I spoke to! When I rang Nizpro, the person I spoke to was a Turkey, (in my opinion) and I knew right then that they were getting none of my money, simple. Others have obviously liked this person and are happy to hand over their hard earned. Isn't life wonderful! I also liked the fact that the APS operation was HUGE, (they have the best workshop and most knowledgable staff I have ever seen, and are a massive international company, not just a local tuner) and I think this is important IF you have any problems as the cost to fix things will be a small figure to a big company and a large figure to a smaller company and more likely to be disputed. It's called "piece of mind". To anyone wanting advice on which tuner to choose I say this. GO AND SEE THEM,and TALK TO THEM and go with who you feel comfortable with after seeing their operation and talking to the people who you will be dealing with. That's what I did, and I couldn't be happier!
