  1. Lets just face it guys the btr is just a taxi box. The th400 is a strong box and good for 1000 hp they can fit extra clutch packs through a 10 inch drum but in the states they have just started machining some cnc parts for them. Then there are boxes like the pro-flite which is based on a mopar 727 torquefite everything in this box is cnc ed and fits with a custom adapter but this wont give u much change from 15 k .unfortunately the best option for big hp is the powerglide yet primitive but bulletproof as they make everything aftermarket for them .
  2. dont know what the stoichiometric values will be when doing a mix of meth and petrol but I wouldnt trust the tune on a mix fuel
  3. In saying all this e85 from a drum has 105 octane and e100 has 115 octane .e85 from the bowser is not always 85 % . More like e70 100 octane if that with a lower flash pt from petrol so u use more just becareful when filling from the bowser. Best order some bp e100 20litre drums. But dnt forget the longer these sit there and not used the quicker they degrade as exposed to oxygen and to there hydroscopic properties
  4. Weldon make the best alcohol electric fuel pumps but if I was going down the rd with meth nd due to passed experience I run a belt driven pump no issues
  5. Let me give everyone a bit of a chemistry lesten methanol chemical formula is. Coh and ethanol is ccoh. The difference is invtge amount of carbon oh is the acohol. Due to its chemical formula methanol is easy to ignite cause of its lower combusting point .now methanol is very treaky to set up if u have not had the chance to play with it .due to its lower melting point yes u need big pumps and injectors but inturn it is very cold allowing more timing to be thrown in the car plus more boost cause of its thermal advantage as with heat there is friction. Now the major problem with methanol is and the trickey part is when it burns it releases oxygen .the more oxygen in the motor the greater the chance of it leaning out causing major dramas so it becomes a big hedache for the tuner that's y u see most alcohol carrs running a belt driven fuel pump and fuel logs etc . I guess when seet up right it has its advantages u dont even need to run a cooler.look at these twin turbo v8 running big numbers no coolers. Just touch there intake manifolds and they are freezing cold the other problem is it has no lubrication in it .killing injectors with time and sensors and because the tunes in these cars have to be run so fat to avoid leaning out just check the condition of the oil when u have done a few runs it looks like a milkshake .so methanol good for making power and it is also cheap but uu will need a rebuild sooner than u think
  6. What secrets are keeping from us now vre

    352.2 Rwkw F6

Nice result mate for a sh*t stir put it on another to see what its got 350rwkw @ 12 psi that's a great achievement .just out of curiosity how much cam timing and ignition timing? What af ratiois that at
  8. What computer r u running .turbo computer or original.if u have changed, your std comp to a turbo one then modules such as bem must be grafted to new computer if u changed computer u must marry the new one with an appropriate scanner. I dnt think hp has this functionality. Worst case u might have to do a parameter, reset with an approp scanner. What u mean u had to change the immobilizer to start .did u by any chance disable the PATS how did u go about changing the ecu what procedure did u use
  9. Did you use your originally bem module. You have to recode it if not. Plus decode occur and graft your remotes again anyone with a decent scanner can do it
  10. A race car ? a street car ? or an in between car?
  11. Champ I dont think you know what u are up for 1000 hp like the boyz have told you is nothing more than a money pit and basically I aint one to father you but most of us started from the bottom 300kw I mean back in the day a 400 hp car on the street was a quick car, enough to get u into trouble, enough to have fun , unfortunately enough to even kill yourself ( knock on wood) .Like the boys have said you have to make a decision in what you are trying to achieve. 1000hp is for track only dont expect fuel consumption and something you can fill up at your bowser ... no cv rear end will hold that kind of power you will be looking at 13k plus for a 4link rear end 9 inch and billet axles plus tyres to suit. A chrome moly or carbon tailshaft to handle it will also cost you a bundle theres alot of areas you have forgotten by the looks of it... I mean gee you even start breaking things at 400rwkw if things arent done properly but when they are you got a 10sec street car that hauls ass and is drivable and u can pack up and drive away in it if you have to. Ask anyone in here that 1000 hp for the street is nothing but a waste of time when you got no traction anyway . You wont notice any difference on the street between the two .My street car makes 380 kw and I kid you not it will blaze 20 inch wheels 275/40 in third gear when the boost comes on... What more could you ask for
  12. Im pretty sure ids vcm can control pats this wil also allow to disable any signals you will be missing
  13. Rapid chris yours is done like this isnt it maybe u can give us some pics for ideas
  14. ela re when I blew my motor up and dissassemmbled it. I found conrod stamped number 3 in cylinder 5 .and 5 in 3 are ford so careless, unbelievable, are these motors production line or what, realy pee ed me off . Also when I bought my oil pump I wont say from who either the oil pump wouldnt even fit into the snout of the crank how cheesed off was I then ... Any way a good mechanic must check everything full stop....like Danny said u cant take short cuts it always cost more in then
