  1. Happy Birthday shadyxr!

  2. I use Penrite HPR10 from first change. No problems. 03 XR6T
  3. Could be interesting to see how the other teams being supplied chassis etc from 888 react. JBR for one, Johnson might jump ship too which leaves FPR, and "then there were none" as the saying goes. The series has been rooted for years.
  4. Both drivers have signed up with 888 for next two years (confirmed last week) but nothing said about make of vehicle. I doubt Triple 8 would change when they have been so dominant with the Ford product.
  5. Hi All, Problem has happened 3 times now. Twice today and a month back also. 2003 BA XR6T Horns sounding and blinkers flashing as if the panic button on remote has been pushed. Turn them off and a few hours later same thing happens. Now the remote pad doesn't work, tried spare, same thing, have changed batteries in both. Car starts ok and was fitted with upgraded alarm from new. Any ideas would be appreciated.
  6. Wise words from Senna until the right foot gets excited. Normal driving will see some improvement in economy.
  7. Found these. Hope it helps
  8. Had the same problem with mine. BA Phantom also. I made up two alloy plates and bolted them inside the lower grille opening. There a two bolt holes already located in the opening. If you push the bar up at this point you will see what I mean. I did post some pics of it a couple of years ago.
  9. Some pic's of my hobby. Powered by a Homelite 30cc two stroke (highly modified) water cooled, fitted with power pipe and is pushed along by surface drive setup with 2" two blade prop. The boat is 1400mm long and 650mm at the widest point of the sponson's. It's great fun.
  10. Check the breather. Early BA models had some issues with the drive shaft seals leaking but I believe that was resolved.
  11. Maybe a fax from your dealer showing the official Ford RRP and pass it on. Call your insurer and ask to speak with supervisor might help.
  12. Wikipedia: 996 GT2. 3.6 Twin Turbo. 356kw & 640nm Torque. 0-100 in 3.6 seconds. Top speed 198mph = 316 km/h
  13. O'h and by the way. As per the article the manufacturer has a switch to turn it off as they do for traction control. Doesn't seem to bother the insurance companies if they fit it. Quote "And don’t be fooled by the fitment of a DSC/ESP off switch on the dash, in most cases it doesn’t actually turn off the DSC, just dumbs it down."
  14. Your probably right, but is lowering beyond legal limits, edit, exhaust, modified BOV's etc etc legal when it comes to your insurance ??
  15. Hi all, With new models arriving fitted with ESC, ESP etc controls to help the driver it would appear this may cause some issues when modifying suspension. Whiteline have a world first "Black Box" which sounds interesting. Read on. G’day, Its a very exciting time for us as we’re finally able to talk about something that we’ve been working on for over 4 years, the Whiteline suspension Blackbox. Stability Control systems like DSC and ESP are great safety advances that help the general driver keep the vehicle under control while cornering and changing direction in general. It works in tandem with the ABS system and uses many of the same components. Most new cars sold today have DSC/ESP either standard or as an option and in the US it must be fitted on new vehicles by law from 2011 onward. That’s a great thing for the consumer but it is an issue for race cars or any enthusiasts that race. Unfortunately the system forces a particular handling or chassis control model on the driver and that generally means understeer, always understeer and sometimes in big amounts regardless of what you do with changing mechanical components. To make matters worse, the ideal “handling model” designed by the electronic boffins at the car company changes from make to make to model so it’s a moving target. Being a good innovation, its built in safety bias means it works with the ABS which makes it difficult to turn off. And don’t be fooled by the fitment of a DSC/ESP off switch on the dash, in most cases it doesn’t actually turn off the DSC, just dumbs it down. But apart from that, DSC/ESP can actually work for you even while racing so what if you could simply tune it........ Enter the Whiteline Blackbox. Our design lets you actually tune the factory DSC/ESP system. Use a simple knob to tune the understeer or overtseer bias in the cabin, program the amount of intervention or simply turn it off completely while leaving the ABS fully functional. This patented, world first is the only way we know to tune the factory stability control system to suit your preference, setup or motorsport event. You can see the system working on this YouTube clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyYsqIvN2rw and you can take a look at the attached PDF file to read more about it with current application details. We hope you like it. The catalogue has also been recently updated to version 3.2 and the latest PDF version is available for download at http://www.whiteline.com.au/docs/catalogues/WL_0350.pdf . Apart from showcasing the latest Blackbox applications, it also has a number of additions and updates for new applications like the Golf V and Passat, MY08 WRX and many other small changes. Again, thanks for your support and we look forward to more Blackbox applications in the new future. Best regards Jim and Andrew Whiteline - Flatout support@redranger.com.au <<152_HBM.pdf>>

    New Hoon Laws

It's allready happening. My daughters boyfriend had his and his mates VL's imponded for alledged street racing together on the same night at Wetherill Park in Sydney. It took him about 2 months to get it back after charges were dropped. The police had no video evidence. This could be the only way of fighting them, no video, dropped charge.
  17. 57.3/100kms in 3rd gear with full open throttle.
  18. Drove to central Coast and back over the weekend and had water dropping on the wifes feet. Carpet was soaked. Put on mates hoist this arvo and pushed a thin peice of wire in the drain and woosh, out came about 2 litres of water. The drain looks a bit like a yellow plug above the bell housing. Have just pulled up the passenger side mat and rubber undermat, both are soaked and the car is starting to smell like an old VW. My advice, check the drain regularly.
  19. Oops !
  20. Next they will have unmarked ones of these to chase us.
  21. Yep !! Years
  22. PM sent
  23. Looks like the auto is starting to play up. Who does them in Sydney and what can I expect to pay. I'd like to beef it up.
  24. Lets face it. V8SA is run by you know who. The only reason they went to Boor-ain was to support the launch of a rebadged Dunnydore pretending to be a Buick. Whilst export is good for our workers V8SA don't give a toss about the real fans. Money Money Money, it's a rich mans sport.
  25. Hyena, I have the same problem. My idle is just above 500 and sometimes it stalls. My tuner also cleaned the throttle body for me when this problem came up but it's still the same. Have not had a chance to get back to them yet. Mine also stalls when starting hot. I think it might just need a few more revs at idle.
