Hi All, Well. I have a brand new Blueprint XR6T in the driveway :D Being new to the forum these questions may have already been asked, so apologies if they have: (1) I get conflicting advice on running in, some say drive as you would normally from day one, while the book says 1500 kms variable speed gently, and my own mind says 3000 kms before giving the pedal a serious tickle. Your Thoughts? (2) How is the standard security on the XRT's? I'm thinking of installing a kill switch somewhere but wondering if it's needed. Have any gone missing (when keys are not available)? My thanks to everyone that replied to my post, I really appreciated it. I have to say I have pulled out of the purchase and gone for a new one. At an additional cost of $3000 after GST rebate over the used car, a brand new car was too good to pass up, and it gets delivered this Friday optioned to my specs (leather, premium noise, xr kickplates, tow, tinting etc)!!!!!!Sunroof is to be installed next week around the corner. So, I'm a very happy boy :lol: ......but I have disappointed Ken 24T, I've turned to the "bright side" and colour is now....wait for it......Blueprint Thanks again for your valued feedback and look forward to visiting this site many a time..... regards, Rick.

Thanks for the replys....starting to feel better!!! The puff color was the same as the exhaust, sooty black. so maybe there's nothing to worry about, Will check with the dealer. Regards, Rick.

Hi All, I'm a newbie, very exited about buying a 2nd hand HgAg XR6T tomorrow :D , However after test driving the other day, when the owner started the car to move back into garage, I noticed a very small (.2/sec) puff of dark smoke/soot from the tailpipe, is this normal? The car has done 17000 kms, mainly highway, don't expect its been mistreated. Also saw a little dampness on the rear diff, Ford dealer is checking this out today. Would the above be covered in the Ford new car warranty? Will really appreciate your feedback, Regards, Rick.
