I would have called it the other way actually... Standard suspension in the new FG GT I took for a test drive felt way sloppier than even the standard suspension in my BFII GT. It seemed to have more body roll than our WM Caprice fitted with FE2 aswell. An FG GT owner whose had the car for a couple of months has confirmed this and is intending to upgrade his suspension with aftermarket components. From a dealers perspective buying these cars off FPV, I wouldn't bother buying too many if I were you. It's not going to have the appeal of the 40th anniversary and the Cobra. I think the price is a bit steep too as your pretty much paying for the big brakes. The new wheels aren't any bigger so I don't see why they should cost more and a few stickers and badges doesn't add up to what they are asking... $9500 (how did they come up with this????!!!!) worth for $5500 worth... It's actually a shame they didn't make the FG F6 the 5th anniversary model special with GT-P seats, big brakes, proper suspension and if it was possible some wider new lightweight wheels at the rear. A bit like an HSV Clubsport DTS pack I guess from the VZs.

The wheels look alright I suppose but they should have been standard issue on all the FG FPV GTs by now... The 5th anniversary stripe just looks try-hard with the massive 5 on the side. I really don't think they've done enough (they don't even have R-Spec suspension this time around).

Clubsport R8 is cheaper... 0.1 of a second is hardly a triumphant win!

Good luck launching the Supra from a standing start... it'll either end up in a cloud of smoke from wheel spin or bog down with massive amounts of turbo lag while the lambo storms ahead.

Oh by the way the 302 will be fitted to the Force8/GT/GTP/P/SP IF they have any left after production of all the Cobras. Only 50 are estimated to be left around to be thrown in the mainstream FPVs. Read http://carpoint.com.au/car-review/2832105.aspx for more.

Yeh doesn't sound right does it... I believe it'll be more. Just need to get a few Cobras down the strip or on the dyno to tell...

No im puttering around in an 07 Caprice at the moment while the EFII is being kept in great nick ready for a possible trade on a new XR6/8 Ute. Dad drives a new FPV GT and no I don't claim any of these cars to be mine I'm just fortunate enough to drive them (Cappa on a daily basis), so I am allowed to have opinions on them. I'm an avid Ford fan and I found it ridiculous that you were calling Ford a Fraud when you are putting a copy BF FPV front bar onto an 03 xr6t ute... Hence my comment.

Looks like the GT has lost its stripes... Theres nowhere to put the side ones with that inward curve of the door. Maybe they'll be an option to have them over the roof? Not really liking the Black plastic fantastic all over it. Makes them look HSV plastic pigish. The rear bar black insert is straight from a VY SS.
