I wouldnt play around with just boost without having the engine management corrected to suit otherwise like ppl have said BANG!!!

your tune you have is it generic or custom? I dont know who has been feeding alot of people with this generic tunes are nothing but trouble rubbish because my brothers use them with awesome gains and no problems what so ever. it may be a case of people not looking after their cars with the tune loaded. thrashing them unneccecarily ect. and I know plenty of people with them on their turbos without any worries.
