  1. Blood orange = BO. Therefore, under-arm Please keep this on topic. I would prefer that there be no further reference to Australian cricketers ! ( Still a bit touchy about that we are )
  2. 21-09-04 30,000km Service $231.10 15-03-05 45,000km Service $174.45
  3. I'm now worried that they didn't do enough on my car. 45,000km "B" service $174.45.
  4. Purple added to the list. Any more nominees ???
  5. Would that be under-suspicion ? Hmmmmm....let me see....I believe I can make something with this....must edit my original thread.
  6. There is no doubt that we of the HgAg Team cannot avoid the constant reference to our colour being that of an under-coat. There has been much snickering and pointing of fingers suggesting that all other cars are more worthy because they have a final layer of paint to distinguish it from the original base under-coat. If this is our lot….then so be it. I find no shame in being part of the pillar of society from which all other derivatives are born. Just remember, when your cars get damaged, and the paintwork needs touching up, you will always return to your humble beginnings….Mercury Silver. If we take time to reflect, then being branded as the under-coat is not so bad….after all, look at some of the alternatives : Black / Silhouette - the colour of death, the colour of choice for all Funeral Directors….therefore, the under-taker. White – is this really a colour at all ? The colour of choice for those without imagination or ambition….therefore, the under-achiever. Citric Acid – the name alone conjures up images of too much curry in the evening meal and the burning sensation felt the next morning. Babies are renowned for producing similar results. Therefore, under-seige. Envi – stolen from right under the very nose of the General. So similar to the Hothouse Green of the Expensive Daewoo family that it is likely to result in some form of cross breeding. Therefore, under-handed. Blueprint – so often referred to as “spewprint”, therefore, under-the-weather. Lightning Strike – an attempt to mimic the great Mercury Silver but didn’t quite get there….therefore, under-done. Ok Lads….let the games begin. Add your thoughts on other under-?????
  7. Jaycar sell PC Boards for 31mm and 41mm Festoon Style interior lights for $5ea. You use these boards to mount the LED's (whichever colour you choose) and use the metal ends from the "blown globes" to fit onto the PC board. I haven't tried them yet but noticed them while browsing through the 2005 catalogue. 31mm Festoon KC-5354 (Page 15) uses 2 x LED's 41mm Festoon KC-5355 (Page 15) uses 3 x LED's
  8. Rogers.....I made several EBay purchases over the Easter long weekend and completed direct deposits on the day the auctions ended. One seller in particular did not respond to further e-mails that I sent after making the payment and ignored my enquiries about the delivery status. I then sent the following e-mail to them : "Please advise current status of this purchase. I made the payment as requested on the same day as auction ended ( 28th March ), and have made numerous requests for confirmation that payment has been received but have not had any response. All feedback on e-bay indicates that you are an honest and reliable trader so I am reluctant to raise this transaction as an issue within the e-bay guidelines. Please contact me asap to confirm that all is ok and advise when the item will be sent" I received a response from them that same day....and the goods have since been received. Their excuse was that as my follow-up e-mails were sent directly to them, they did not link the enqiries to my EBay "user name"......could this be your problem too ? Regardless of the validity of their reason, my last e-mail was letting them know that I was ready to persue further within the EBay guidelines, while at the same time not appearing to be too aggressive.....and it worked.
  9. According to the accompanying paperwork : lv(mcd) @20mA = 50
  10. I am not sure how this relates to Utes, but keep in mind that with the Sedans the requirement for Premium Audio was because the wiring loom that came with Premium Audio, provided the additional wire in the plug for power feed. This is why you had to add an additional PIN in the switch socket. My recollection was that those Sedans that did not have Premium Audio could not have the Switch lights working unless you ran an additional power feed external to the existing wiring loom. Again....not sure how / if this relates to Utes.
  11. For all those interested in sourcing the SMD's from Jaycar, I have just left the Brookvale Store ( Sydney ), and they have about 20 packets left. Always a good idea to have some spares in case you have a problem with a switch later down the track.
  12. Completed the big Mother Switch....glad it's over, I can tell you. Now I'll try and grab a replacement "single" switch for the one I botched, and complete the job sometime in the future. For now, both fronts and one rear working beautifully. Cockpit picture attached.
  13. Been interested in doing this for over a year now and finally decided today to give it a go. Word of warning for anyone wanting to use the Jaycar Blue SMD's (ZD2020). It seems that they are discontinued and no longer in the Jaycar catalogue. I was fortunate enough to find some at the Silverwater Store (Sydney) where they are $10 for packet of 6. From memory, there was about 5 packets left after I grabbed some. Anyway....I attempted the switches tonight. 2nd word of warning....the SMD's are f&*$%ng small 3rd word of warning....make sure you start with one of the "single" switches. That way, if you melt the sh*t out of the tracks like I did, it's no great drama . However, lights aint ever gunna be working on that little mother. I continued on my merry little way and successfully completed the other 2 single switches....looks Mickey Mouse, even the wife was impressed Tomorrow, I will attack the Mother of all Switches Have to tell you though, I would not take the risk of offering to do other people's switches....while I can live with stuffing my own switches, I'd hate to stuff someone elses.
  14. Didn't work for a Japanese based company did you ????
  15. 2nd Hand Stealth FX BOV currently up for auction on EBay....current bid $310 with 2 days to go.
  16. Annoyed the crap out of me....turns out you can fill the petrol via the hole in the side of the car as well. A good thing Ford provided this as a back-up. They must have known the bonnet cable was faulty.
  17. Glad to hear you are having some success Joe. Missed you on Sunday during the Kangaroo Valley Drive. Good luck with your "hunting".
  18. Booked it in yesterday for Tuesday next week. Dealer advises they will be replacing the whole cable. Wait and see what happens after that I guess.
  19. ...seems unaminus unamonus unami....a lot of people have the same answer. Ford Dealer...here I come
  20. Went to check under the bonnet yesterday to find out what's in there, and what all the fuss is about, and it would seem I have a problem opening the bonnet. The lever and the cable have separated from each other. Performing upside down manoeuvres in my front seat (boy did that bring back memories), I was able to stick my head under the dash and found the cable and "lead sinker" still intact....but no longer attached to the lever that you pull. I tried to see how they "click" back together but the eyesight is not what it once was. ( Mumma always said I'd go blind if I didn't stop ). I might have had a better chance of seeing how they go back together if the brake and accelerator pedals weren't jammed into the back of my head....silly place to put them if you ask me ( why didn't they shove them on the passenger side out of the way ). I was able to yank on the cable and "sinker" with a pair of long nose pliers which then released the bonnet so there is nothing wrong with the cable. Anyway....can anyone offer advice on whether or not it is an easy fix, or should I just take my brm brm back to the dealer and let THEM perform yoga under my dashboard.

  22. Gaza, there are a million one liners for what you just said mate, and I think you know where I'm coming from ....so to speak. You've got me feeling a bit sheepish now, but don't try to pull the wool over my eyes or I'll never call ewe again. Some guys just try to ram their opinions down other people's throats. .....oops, is that the sort of one-liners you were talking about You may look like the Theif of Bagdad....but I'm the Thief of Bad Gags.
  23. Thanks to MissXR for organising the get together, and turning on the great weather. Is it just me, or do others have the same problem remembering "Names" "User names" and "Number Plates" for these trips. Possible to initiate a database of some sort that can be downloaded before a trip commences ? and Cro.....I recognise foreplay when I see it....you weren't chucking him off the dam. But a word of advice....use the hill net time so he pushes back harder.
  24. :ermm: You beat me to it! I also dread the phrase ... "honey I'm home" I wait it when you're having sex....and then you hear that phrase you just mentioned
  25. See you all at Krispy Kremes.....chocolate icing with mock cream in one hand and a cappucino in the other....life don't get any better. (Not sure how I'm going to steer though)
