Just to clarify...make sure it is a DVD Recorder you are after and not a PVR (Personal Video Recorder). A DVD recorder accepts analogue TV input and records this same signal to HDD or DVD......also accepts other input signals (eg video camera). If your analogue TV signal is crap....then your recording will be crap. A PVR is a digital STB and records the digital signal to HDD. The digital signal via the PVR will give a much better recording. However, you can only record digital FTA channels....there are no provisions for inputting other signals to the PVR and recording them.

Happened to me last year http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...ndpost&p=292838

Recreational. I like to (and mostly have to) drive a lot. Therefore why not do it in style. The Ford Cortina didn't do it for me. Neither did the Expensive Daewoo Gemini, Ford Escort, Mitsubishi Magna, Toyota Camry, Mitsubishi Express, Ford Econovan and Ford Laser. The Hyundai Excel was tough, and the Ford Futura was stylish and functional. However, not until the XR6 Turbo, did I suddenly feel the need for sponsored clothing. Boxer Shorts, Super 12 Jerseys, Sweatshirts....all with the Ford Logo. Now if I could just find those XR6 Turbo condoms so that I can come really fast.

Still surprised ??????

But that is my point....."How they accelerated there is ABSOLUTELY TOTALLY RELEVANT"
-
Yeh, but what is the answer
-
I'm not saying I am corect...but I disagree with your answer. Force = Mass x Acceleration.....and therefore, the Forces would be different due to the diferences in Acceleration. (This was argued in an earlier thread when discussing the merits of having better brakes for those cars that have the ability to accelerate quickly. While some said a car doing 100kmh will need the same braking power as any other car doing the same speed, and weighing the same, others argued that whichever car accelerated fastest would require additional brake power appeared valid) Someone who knows much more than me can tell me if I am full of it.
-
....that 10 to the power of 0 = 1
-
Trick question ???? You said they were travelling in the same direction (but then suggest one is stationary) From memory, Force = Mass x Acceleration....therefore, there will be greater Force in the 2nd Car, and as a result, will take longer to come to a halt.
-
Stock standard. I'm amazed at the money people have spent on brake modifications alone.

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, our best wishes for a socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the summer solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or the secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious or secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. May you have a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2006, which may or may not be five or six years into the new millennium, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped to make Australia great (not to imply that Australia is necessarily greater than any other country) and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith, political belief, choice of computer platform or sexual preference of the wishee. By accepting this greeting you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for herself or himself or others, is void where prohibited by law and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and the warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher. This was posted on another forum that I frequent and while it was not meant to be a political statement by the poster......it certainly makes you wonder how much thought we have to give to the simplest of intentions, so as not to offend others.

Oldraven....don't take this too personally...but your comment on anything less than 6.0MP....in my humble opinion, is ABSOLUTE CRAP Have to agree Gaza, my 4 meg cannon S45 has never produced grainy images Well, we're all entitled to our opinions. I didn't say the images were grainy. But have you ever gotten prints made with a lower resolution image? I don't know what to tell you guys. I have personally had this happen. The images look crisp and perfect on my computer, but the prints were drastically different between the two cameras. 3.2 vs. 8.2. Again, this is just my experience. ....but Raven....you mentioned you had a problem printing images taken from a 3.2MP camera, and then went on to say anything less than 6.0MP would be useless for printing. (Your most recent comment compared 3.2 v 8.2)That's a hell of a leap you just made. From personal experience, I've had both 4MP cameras and 5MP cameras. Both have resulted in great prints from both home inkjet printer and camera development outlets. To suggest that anyone should ignore cameras with less than 6.0MP, because of inability to produce quality prints...is totally wrong. This is not opinion....this is fact. I'd hate to see anyone outlay more than they need to.....or more than they can afford.

Panasonic FZ-20 Digital. 12 x Optical Zoom, 5MP photos...you can even add additional lenses to the camera with the use of adaptors. I've currently got an Olympus TCON-17 lens (multiplies by 1.7), and a Nikon 6T close up lens which fit on the end of the camera. Also has remote control cable for steadier tripod shots. Fully auto...or experiment with manual settings.

Hooking Up A Dvd Player To The Scrren In My Xr
Honest Gaza replied to StevesXR6T's topic in Audio/Visual Workshop
Unless I'm mistaken, the website you refer to stipulates that the screen is inoperative while the handbrake is off. The item available on E-Bay allows the screen to be used whilst vehicle is in motion....legalities of this is another issue. Personally, I'm waiting for the price to drop a little further. I have a portable DVD player and 2 x screens already. Therefore, until the price drops further, using the console screen is not something I'll easily convince the missus about. -
Iluv cops especially when there running over crims ,shame this one gets to live. Yes, I think the public in general is very happy with the police and I for one won't be crying for the crim.

I've also noticed the kits that the guy is selling on E-Bay....apparently he can do a kit without DVD player for $440. Not sure if he'd be willing to do a group buy for cheaper ? Would many be interested ? -
Could be doing any of the following from the Internet : Installing Service Pack updates for OS Installing Virus Software updates Let's hope it's not installing a Virus With the connection to ADSL removed....does the activity continue ?
-
I had a similar problem when No.1 Son had to reload his OS. While my PC continued to connect to the Internet / LAN, his couldn't. His PC didn't work with DHCP but whn I assigned an IP address, all was ok. Once I was able to connect his PC to the Internet, I downloaded the latest drivers for his inbuilt LAN chip....and then DHCP worked beautifully. Could be similar problem ????? That's why I asked for more info.
-
I'm no Network expert, but you've confused me a little with your explanation. I'm assuming that the ADSL line terminates directly into the HUB/Router, and the 2 PC's also connect to the same HUB/Router. If so, is either PC connecting to the Internet ok ? If not, are the 2 PC's connecting via the LAN ok ? More info please.
