Still sore about that missed turnoff at the Toll Gates ay Ken....let it go  -
I would dispute this information. My current policy ( AAMI ), provides for Computer Equipment - computers, printers, CD-ROMs, discs, software and associated accessories LIMIT for any one claim : Up to $7,500 in total There is also a reference to "Tools of Trade and professional equipment" which has a limit of $2,000.....my impression is that this thread referred to tools for personal use, and my understanding is that these will be covered....providing you have evidence of ownership.

Not true Blonk....this is the same PC ( laptop) I have been using prior to the Site Upgrade, and always logged in without my input. This problem only appeared to occur after the Site Upgrade. After further fiddling, I found that I had to go to "Internet Options" - "General" - "Check for new versions of stored pages". This was set to "automatically", and I changed to "every visit"....now working ok. As the yanks are want to say...."Go figure"....beats the hell outa me. -
I tried this Ken, but not 100% happy. Some people use signatures that have text sliding in from the side using a "marquee" within the programming source. It appears that you can't use a picture within a "marquee". So like you suggested, I created an animated GIF, and had the logo slide from the centre of the screen and stop at the left under my name and title. Problem is, animated GIF's continue through their cycle...so the logo keeps going back to the centre of the screen and sliding to the left continuously.....becomes distracting to the reader.

Can anyone tell me how I can include a "moving" Company Logo in my Outlook Signature. I use the advanced edit via HTML to create the signature, but want a logo to "slide" into position. I have seen other people enable "sliding" text within their signatures. Any ideas ?

Thanks for the feedback guys....I tried a few things on my work PC but no success. Have just dialled in from home PC and it's working ok now. So I better attack the work PC again tomorrow ( during a quiet moment of course ) -
Left a post on the Upgrade thread advising it is a pain in the arse logging on all the time and the system not giving a correct listing of threads since last post. Is anything happening with this ?????

Are you referring to stripes over the bonnet / roof & boot ??? I saw one on Friday going through St Ives ( Sydney ) and it looked awesome. Had me thinking about black stripes on my HgAg. Definitely looks better than the "side stripes" Honest Gaza

For the past 4 years I have taken my cars to the same dealership for servicing. I have always been happy and did not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asked. But....not any more. I had an AUII Futura which went in last week for it's first servise outside the 100,000k warranty period. Throughout the course of the day, they wanted to perform approx $1,100 dollars worth of servicing and repairs. Amazing how none of these items were an issue during the warranty period. I "culled" some of the items from their wish list and agreed on approx $750 worth of items. While driving the car home, I was being followed by a truck that obviously had severe issues with their braking system. Loudest squealing I have ever heard....even when he was standing still. It was then that I realised that the noise was coming from my car. Back to the dealer the next day for ANOTHER hand brake adjustment. Now I'm back to opening the sunroof to pull the handbrake on. Same dealership had "serviced" my Turbo the week before and performed a wheel allignment. My son who was sitting in the back seat during the weekend pointed out that my steering wheel was pointing to approx 11 o'clock whenever I was going straight ahead. I booked it in for another look, and asked specifically for a date and time that they could look at it without me having to leave it there all day. No probs, bring it in on Wednesday before 8:00am. Had it there at 7:40 am and was advised to wait in the lounge. By 9:00am I had heard nothing and went for a walk outside.....car sitting in the carpark. I waited until 10:15am and my car had not moved. I finally spat the dummy and walked in to the reception area. One of the 3 staff was kind enough to get off their arse when they noticed I was still standing there after swaying back and forth on my heels for 5 mins. I asked for my keys and was ready to give them a gobful if they dared say "...but Sir, it's not ready yet" Instead, they proceeded to get the paperwork and advised the allignment was now ok. I was gobsmacked......"You mean the work has been done and I've been sitting around for 2Hrs for nothing ????" :o Yes, I thought someone had given you the keys GOODBYE I don't think I will be back with either car....and a little hint for the rest of you. You don't have to drive over the Harbour Bridge to get to this dealership....but you do have to go under it.

In answer to the original question....Yes, I do get some unwanted "Doof Doof" from the sub with some music. I find the other speakers are ok, but the sub could do with some improvement.

Watch it Bro....send my cousins after you....then you'll know all about choice.

Got bored reading the thread...a pretty petty issue that turned nasty, personal and downright rude within 2 pages. Back on topic...no I don't like the stripes.

Vik351...do I sense a pattern here ???? How do your tyres last so long ??? How do you get 500k's out of a tank of petrol ??? You may need to check your techniques

OK...if Ken ( or Voy ) won't take the time to set you all straight...I will. When becoming a member of the HgAg Team, there is a leaflet handed out instructing the proper way to drive the car so that maximum fuel useage can be achieved. Perhaps some of you ( or is that ONE of you ), should take note : 1). Release handbrake when driving This is not a speed limiter, but a functional tool which can also be used to prevent the car moving when in a stationary position. 2). Brake Pedal Those who drive manuals have probably noticed that there are 3 pedals on the floor, each with it's own function. As you only have 2 feet, try not to press on all 3 at the same time. Those who drive autos, do not mistake the left hand pedal for a foot rest while driving. Resting your foot on this pedal while accelerating will in actual fact slow down your vehicle and cause a smell from outside the car when used to excess. This phenomenon is often mistakenly reported as "brake shudder". 3). Other road users Sometimes, other drivers find themselves in the awkward position of having to use an alternate lane on the same stretch of road as you. If this occurs at a set of lights, do not take it personally. They mean no disrespect and if left alone, will go about their business as if you weren't there. There is no need to plant your foot on the accelerator the moment the lights turn green. If this does occur, again, do not take it personally if they pull up next to you at the next set of lights. It just may be possible that they happen to be going in the same direction as you. These simple 3 steps will make your petrol last longer.

The only other bit of info that might be relevant ( Ford fellows can offer comment ), was that my car is a Novated Lease and covered under ORIX. Not sure if this has any effect on pricing. As for ORIX....that's another thread all by itself

How in the *beep* can you get 500 out of a tank???Sounds like Ken would be even more exciting to go for a spin with Don't be dissin Miss Daisy ( as my workmates liked to call me before I got the Turbo ) I admit that I ain't no speed freak...but if you don't want the bits of coconut to fall off the cake while you're driving, care must be taken. Once upon a time there was a tortoise and a hare..... ( need I go on ? ) Looking back through all my fuel useage calculations over the last 30,000k's, the figures constantly read between 12.xx & 13.xx for a full tank of petrol. Of course there was that one time that it was 15.40 but I beat the crap out of the wife after that...and it has not happened again. I would have to say my crowning glory was a nice 10.68 in December last year.....beautiful effort that....only 1 month old and the engine not even run in yet. Anyway, I digress. Ken and I once did face off around the back streets of Narellen but it was too close to call. The vehicles behind us kept blasting their horns so we let them past. Some of those truckies can get really aggro.

Yeah, absolutely right. My bad. Although, in my own defence I have to say that Cro has indeed tried to take out some of the flora as well ... hence my confusion. PS "your talking" = you're talking ... right? Good comeback....he was silly for leading with his chin. Let's learn them all better English.

Are all of your numbers based on the computer's calculations ? What happens if you only use the speedo reading between refills and then divide by the amount of litres to top up the tank ? It could be that the car is using fuel ok, but that the "dynamic" calculations are incorrect. I currently get approx 500k's to a tank around Sydney and would be pretty upset if it dropped down as far as yours....even with the occasional bit of stick.

Not a performance car ? YOU'RE KIDDING !!! Mine used to get from 0-100 in a week.
