Brenton...I must apologise for the inappropriate question that other members of the HgAg brotherhood have asked ( both Ken and Voy ). What you wear is of no concern to me. Welcome to the site and by the way....do have a girlfriend or wife ? If so....what are THEY wearing ?

  3. So they're right....the early bird does catch the worm !
  4. Now I've had birds between my legs before, but...
  5. Geea....I have to make further comment on some of YOUR points 1). People with a view ( full stop ) 3). You're right ( about your spelling ) 9). Do you mean there is such a thing as an idiot WITH a clue ? 10). You can learn from Kwai Chang Pang the Grass Snake....forgive them for their sins. ( As a side issue....people thought he came from Peking China, but it was actually Peeking in girl's windows )
  6. With the year coming to a close, and several threads initiated on the “troubles” of the forum, I thought it was time for me to reflect on those topics that I believe have caused greatest debate on the forum. As is my want, I will also offer food for thought on each. 1). Colour Wars - the never ending discussion on which colour is best. Sometimes personal, but always entertaining. Food for Thought – there may be several colours that have Team designations but only one colour that is repeatedly referenced both in admiration and ridicule. I do not believe any other colour can lay claim to as many references on this forum as that of Team HgAg. 2). Which Mod is best – the ongoing debate of which Mod gives more “bang for bucks”, which Mod gives better performance, which Mod is legal in terms of Engineering Certificates ( if any). Food for Thought – spend your money and enjoy the results. Me….I’m happy with my standard Turbo….and married. ( Enough said ) 3). Changing Attitudes on the Forum – have we become more personal in our attacks or have we become more precious in our responses. Food for Thought – did I tell you I’m married ? I’m sure I did. Anyway, I love my wife ( most of the time….especially after dark ), and I can assure you that we fight, argue and upset each other. So you can rest assured that when a bunch of strangers meet in an open ( although anonymous ) forum, there will be differences of opinion. 4). Ford Service – do they care. Food for Thought – I thought long and hard about this one and wondered how best to answer it without leaving a perception of finality……but couldn’t. NO !!!! 5). Cars Welcome on a Forum Cruise – should this be limited to XR6 Turbos or any make and model. Food for Thought – I have met some really nice people while out on these cruises. I am sure that these people would be the same nice people no matter what car they drive on our cruises. However, I will always remember what a special moment it was when approx 20 XR6 Turbos cruised through some small country towns while headed for the Snowy Mountains. Little kids on the side of the road looked in amazement at the convoy. I was a part of that…and it will remain one of the highlights of my life ( I know, I am a man of simple tastes ). Do not mistake this for wanting no part of a cruise involving other cars….but just a need to be part of an elite group on some occasions. I believe that there is room for both types of cruises. 6). XR6 Turbo or XR8 – which is best Food for Thought – both great cars that can be decided on a flip of a coin at purchase time. 7). Safe Speeding – is there such a thing and is speed the number one cause of accidents. Food for Thought – no one ever came back after a fatal accident and said “ Damn, I should have gone slower” ( Please take this in the “tongue in cheek” delivery it was meant ) I am sure that there are other topics that sit higher on your list of debatable issues….but then, this is my thread and you should start your own.
  7. Shellcard...no Optimax.....Premium Unleaded it is. Should get a few people excited.
  8. The pictures didn't impress me much. I expected them to show more detail.

I also went the Plexis Red inside the HgAg. Matches the Red Turbo badge, and the Red Leather Gear Stick.
  10. A Nudge Bar ????? Is that like "Nudge, Nudge, Wink, Wink....hop no more" ?
  11. Yes, but more importantly, will Cotton Mitten answer the question relating to the effectiveness of speed cameras. Apparently not !
  12. sixfan....an amusing satirical jibe ???? Sorry, I REALLY meant that if you live in Melbourne.....NO SUNROOF FOR YOU
  13. VG....I know you are alive, cause you have responded to SOME of the issues mentioned here. Again, I would like your view, as a Policeman, on the effectiveness of Speed Cameras. I am not arguing the point about whether or not a speeding motorist should be fined....just the validity of whether they are achieving the result of preventing speeding as much as more police on the road would achieve.
  14. VG....I don't pretend to know to what extent speeding causes accidents and will leave that in the hands of others who are better versed. However, from a Policeman's perspective....would you agree that Speed Cameras do not appear to be the answer in lowering the incidence of speeding, given the latest stats released by the nsw Govt ? Camera locations are known, and therefore have limited "enforcement". Surely, more police cars on the road would be a better deterrent.
  15. Damn straight sharkey
  16. What some call double standards...others would call facts of life. There will always be differences in the way men and women are perceived. This is reflected in the pay scales that each can earn and the stereotypes to which we are all compared. Like it or not...a man who has a different woman each night is a perceived as a "stud". In the reverse....a woman who has a different man each night is perceived as a xxxx. I believe all of us may have fantasised about older women while at school, and yet now feel selfconscious when staring at a "schoolie' on the side of the road. This is proof that even in our own minds, we would accept it as wrong if we were to make sexual advances towards a young girl. Like most, I say good luck to the boy and believe that the embarrassment suffered by the woman is punishment enough for her. I look at her and wonder how she explains it to her husband who must be even more embarrassed. I know that a male teacher was sentenced to prison for the "same" act....but again, I accept that. This is not "double" standards.....just "different" standards....and a fact of life.
  17. Add to this, the admission from NSW Government that a motorist is caught by a speed camera every 80 secs. We are constantly told that these are not meant as revenue raisers, but deterrents. Surely this admission is evidence enough that as a deterrent....it's not working. In which case....their sole purpose must be for revenue raising.
  18. Ok, so it seems that if you aren't allowed to go to 160kmh....then the suggestion is to make sure the car cannot attain that speed. Based on that, here are some other limitations that could be introduced in the future : 1). If you don't have children... No Child Restraint anchor points for you ! 2). If you cannot prove that you have friends... No passenger seats for you ! 3). If you don't have a sex life... No back seats for you ! 4). If you don't plan on drinking in the car... No cup holders for you ! 5). If you don't plan on filling your tank completely... No petrol guage for you ! 6). If you are an ex-taxi driver... No indicators for you ! 7). If your name is Cro... No bullbar for you ! . If you are Italian... No forward gears for you ! 9). If you like peace and quiet while you drive... No Ford brakes for you ! 10). If you live in Melbourne... No window tinting for you ! ( Of course, window wipers will be mandatory )
  19. WHO are the HgAg clan ????? You don't wanna mess with the HgAG clan. KEN....VOY....looks like another session behind the toilet block
  20. I too find that there is a lot less fun on this site. I find that I no longer check the site 50 times a day and only log in when there is not much else to do. So yes I agree....something has changed. Honest Gaza
  21. Checked my policy again and P25 of AAMI Book clearly states that there is a limit of $2,000 total claim if the tools are used in your "current or former occupation or profession". To confirm that I was understanding it correctly, I just rang AAMI and they agreed with my interpretation....as long as the tools are for personal / hobby use only, there is no limit. I guess anyone currently insured with NRMA should switch to AAMI real quick ! Honest Gaza
  22. Does your policy say this ????? If it does, and you missed it....unfortunate. After your post, I have re-read my policy and can find no reference to limitations of tool values. If however, you then advise me that your policy makes no reference to it....I'll sure as hell be ringing AAMI for clarification on my policy. Please tell me more
