This wait is killing me..was originally told I would have it before Xmas...Now it looks like next year some time. Q. Has anyone on this forum run the standard F6 down the 1/4 using "Quick" gear changes? If yes, what times. All am very confused with the times posted in the mags. My standard 225kW VX SS ran a 14.1 sec and I remember having difficulty keeping up with a standard auto XR6T. Q. Has anyone "Flat changed" gears in thier F6? I love flat changing everthing so the F6 will not be an exception! I just hope it holds together. I guess all these questions will be answered once I get my hands on it. G.

Hi Guy's, Just placed an order for a silver Typhoon...can't wait. I have decided to get it regardless of all the problems that it has. I would rather give the money to Ford than Holden ... Over the next few months I will be decking it out with all Blaupunkt gear.. Might even try and enter a few SPL comps..time will tell. Looks like I won't be driving my turbo cortina for a while!! Anyway..I was just so excited that I had to tell you. PS. I have not driven a typhoon yet...better be good. Cheers I

Hi, I was considering buying and F6 for the sole purpose of "Flat Changing" through the gears as I did with my VX-SS. This info makes me worrya bit..but.. it doesn't sound like a major problem that can't be fixed..eventually! IMO all manual vehicles (performance or not) must be tested using the flat changing method before being made available to the puplic. I tend to flat change more offen in underpowered cars just to get that extra bit of acceleration. I must also mentioned that my Expensive Daewoo had its fair share of clutch stuff ups. 1. 8000klm - pressure plate 2. 20000klm - Slave cylinder inside bellhousing fails 3. 40000klm - Slave cylinder inside bellhousing fails 4. 60000klm - Diff seal fails - new diff 5. 60000klm - Expensive Daewoo admit that my engine is stuffed..New engine 6. 62000klm - Get rid of vehicle Even afer all this drama, I was happy with the vehicle because I understand that it only a Holden..not a Lambo!! You get what you pay for. See yah

Hi, I am not a specialist, but I am fairly sure that its a problem in the ignition timing (algorithm / map) that’s causing the over boost. I have experienced this problem when tuning my engine (250) which has an external wastegate set at 8psi. By just altering the timing curve, I was getting unstable boost peeking way above the preset level. Usually too much advance and too aggressive a curve would bring it on. Most BA complaints of this problem are when the temp is low and the car has been cruised for a while, indicating that Ford engineers must be peeking the timing to get the best fuel economy in cold conditions. When you nail it, the computer must be still using the "advanced" timing causing the boost to increase in an unpredictable manner. This would explain why one of the engine tuners can eliminate the problem, yet others can't. But then again..I could be totally wrong... Cheers

Hi, Just sharing this informative site with anyone who might find it interesting. It has good info on injectors/sensors/module blah blah blah.... Just go to the following site and click on "I Agree" to enter. http://apps.bosch.com.au/motorsport/products/default.htmhttp://apps.bosch.com.au/motorsport/products/default.htm I think the XR6 Injectors are P/N 0 280 156 123 and flow 213cc The Expensive Daewoo supercharged V6 areP/N 0 280 155 868 and flow 261cc (these sell for a good price but are a different style - should still fit though!!) Sorry if this info has already been posted. Cheers

Hi Gents, The IVSC 3302 will not work in the BA's because it has no RGB output or input. The IVSC 1102 is now available and allows for 1 input to RGB. The 5502 will work but is only usefull if you are going to add additional screens. Cheers

Hi, We have upgraded an xr6 with the standard audio to premium sound without any problems. The only catch is to keep the original body computer and to get the new audio system coded. Apart from that all other functions including heater work as per normal. My guess is that you can upgrade regardless of wiring loom - even ute. Cheers
-
Hi, Give me ideas of what type of info you wan't displayed.... I also have plans on showing acceleration with "peak hold" function so you can see if your tuning has made a difference!.. Your feedback is more than welcome. G
-
Hi, I am starting work on it in the next few days. If all goes well, It should be available within 3 months. Cost is still open, but I am hoping to keep the price bellow $250.00 I will keep you guy's informed. I am also considering showing vehicle information as an extra..Temp, Boost, voltage Ect... Lets see how we go. cheers

Hi Guys, I am developing an interface to connect between your factory fitted reversing system and the premium ICC. This will give you a graphic representation of how close you are to an object with more accuracy than just the beeper. The display will show distance from each sensor (4 of them) and beeper will remain the same. This should be a very easy add on to your vehicle. I will keep you informed. Cheers. (An aftermarket kit will also be developed using the Bosch Park Pilot system.)

hi, I don't know if Ford will do it for you or how much it costs. All I know is we upgarded a system with no dramas. You can do it yourself but you will need ford to reprogram the code into the new ICC. Best bet is to find a system at the wreckers?? You should be able to pick up the system from Ford spares at some very special price!! Regards
-
Hi, This might be old news Just confirmed today that if you have the standard audio system you can upgrade to premium sound. You will however need to use the original body computer from your vehicle. Blue module under the audio system. cheers
-
Hi, I was under the impression that if you had the standard audio system you could not upgrade to premium sound... BUT, Today we swaped the sound system in a xr6 Standard to Premium and it worked. You must use the body computer of the original system to keep all the security thingies and then reprogram the code of the new sound system. So, If I had the standard audio, I would be looking around at the wreckers for a premium system without the premiun price. As far as connecting it to a Ute...I think it would work! Some of the sound setting may have no effect but you could live with it. All the heater functions also worked! Regards

hi, It's easy to install the system yourself. The interface is available. As I have mentioned before, it is $180.00 but it't not just a staight lead, It has a circuit on it to allow switching and other functions via remote control. To run both screens you will need the RGB Y splitter as mentioned on the other posts. you will also need a 1.5m RGB cable to connect between the dx-n and the ivsc and a 4 meter rgb to run from the dx-n to the icc. If you need any assistance, call me at Blau..ask for George. Bye

Hi Scootre, Did you also check the diameter of the hole in the center of the disc? These can also vary greatly between disc and can cause a bigger problem than the overall thickness. Also, you will notice that some of the cheaper CD-r's have a very rough or sharp finish on the edges and in the center hole and this can cause a problem with the disc jamming onto parts of the mechanism. What I do before using using a CD-R is to roll the edge of the CD-R with the shaft of a screwdriver to remove the sharpness. Might help...Who knows?? Bye

hi aaronmihe, You are right the IVSC-1102 will be compatible but is not available yet. When this product is released it will reduce the price of the kit further. The current RRP has now dropped to $1199 for DVD playback (uses DVD ME2) and includes an automatic switching system than triggers the icc only when there is video signal present. In other words - screen switches to DVD when you push the power button on the player. Off the topic.. You can have a look at my dodgy turbo engine build by visiting my homepage at Do not visit this site if you are a perfectionist!!! Its BAD! Bye
-
Hi Guys, You will still need a IVSC55XX plus the BA interface lead for any of the mentioned DVD players to work through the ICC. BlownBA, you have been quoted for only thhe BA interface lead - you will still need the IVSC55XX. (will not work without it!) Cheers
-
Hi Guys, Make sure they are region 4 or multi before you buy...These units connot be programmed for multi region with the remote control. $450 will only get you the DVD player, not the parts needed to connect it to your BA. See Yah!

Hi, If wired correctly, the system will not allow DVD images to be displayed whilst driving. This safety feature is via the hand brake switch ( Hand brake off = no display) or via the navigation system (Speed pulse detection). As you have probably guessed, there is a simple way around both these features No dashboard modifications - control of the system is via remote control using the built in IR. Cheers.

xr6na, DB Feever in Brunswick have done a few and are easy to deal with. Otherwise call Blaupunkt for a dealer near you. bye
