  1. Could the uni joints in the intermediate steering shaft have some play and be binding?
  2. The piston hydraulic seal (ring seal square edge) goes into the piston cylinder housing (inner groove). The dust boot - one side sits in the piston cylinder housing groove (outer groove), and the other sides sits over the piston groove.
  3. Typhoon233, was shudder under braking or no braking? Interested to see if shudder returns after 20 000km of driving?

    Brake Squeal Help!

Try the new Bendix General CT with titanium stripe, had the HPX but bendix were more quiet and less dusty, smooth braking too. Didnt have to bed in. Install and drive. The bendix have the Fibre Impregnated Rubber Steel shims too, to keep them quiet. Always had a vibration/humming sound when braking with my HPX pads and DBA slotted rotors. Bendix dont have these problems as yet. My experience only.
  5. Good vids, cant wait for install pics/vids.
  6. Press the old one out, throw away casing and all. Use hands and grease to push grooved centre bush in no casing required for front bush.
  7. Only on ebay as a kit though, here and here
  8. Was looking at the same thing bai6t... Superpro have a shelled front inner control arm bush part number spf2636k. Heavy duty bush installed look here
  9. Thank you Ralph Wiggum, Bellato, -SteveR- and senna_T for your responses. I will be using Ralphs advice when I get around to doing these. Thanks again.
  10. Hello Im interested in upgrading my front lower and upper control arm bushes with super pro. I have a BA falcon wagon. I was wondering where you would apply the grease on the lower control arm inner front bush (SPF1838K)? This bush is made up of 1 inner tube joining 3 bushes per arm. Would it be on the mating surfaces between all 3 bushes and on the outside of the inner tubes mating the bushes? Any help is appreciated. Pic of bushes shown in link http://www.superpro....rts?id=SPF1838K
  11. ORSMT-2's old ghia - From what I gather its a Di Filippo 2.5 inch mild steel cat back with one centre muffler and from there it splits to two separate hotdogs to 3 inch quad tips. Need some good speakers with some bass to enjoy this one: BA Ghia I6 DiFilippo Quad Catback video by TOPGIA - Photobucket But some have said just go with 3 inch mild steel cat back, with one centre muffler and a hotdog at the rear, with a nice tip. Or you can do that same setup with a 2.5 inch mild steel catback. All with mandrel bends and a nice thick grade mild steel.
  12. The TPS is really a mechanical device. It doesnt have any brains and is actually a dumb device. Its a bit like a volume control knob on your radio. You turn it clockwise the volume goes up, anti-clockwise the volume goes down. You cant really reset/recalibrate the volume knob. You can however recalibrate the amplifier its controlling. In the case of the TPS, the PCM reads the position of the TPS and responds accordingly. The error is only created inside the PCM. The only way to reset the error is to take battery off for 30mins and replace. A faulty TPS will send the PCM the wrong values. Replacing the TPS is the only way to fix that problem. Also, there could be a slight chance the PCM is at fault too.
  13. Hi guys I hope changing the TPS fixes your problem. I just want to clear one myth. The foot flat to the floor and turn the key does not recalibrate anything at all. This technique only fixes a flooded engine condition. Foot flat to the floor and turn the key DISABLES FUEL INJECTORS! that's all this does. Nothing to do with TPS. This is direct from the ford manual. Hope this helps people in the future!
  14. Hey skooby, do you know if there are similar deals going around for the XR8 your mate got for 26k??? That is an unbelievable price, hes done very well.
