I agree. I think the letter needs a little bit of oomph. What do people think about these options? :( T_s.ufo
  3. I probably missed it somewhere, but could somebody give me the heads up on what the harness upgrade is and what it intends to achieve?
  4. Do a search on this as it has been discussed before.
  5. Mate, as an ex-proud owner of a 93 RS from new let me give you my 2c worth. I didn't get rid of my RS until 1992 when I replaced it with a VW Bora 4 motion V6. Nothing up until this time gave me any where near the satisfaction when hooking in on a great road. And my RS wasn't even moded. But after driving the T, I was incredibly impressed with its agility and power. For mine.....Just Do It. But it must be a Mercury Silver as everyone else on the site will agree. PS.
  6. I second that. I Third that.
  7. Thanks for the feedback. They may have improved things a bit since then afterall we are talking 1990 - 14 years ago. Would be keen to talk to anyone who has had one fitted.....just for curiosity...
  8. Mate it sounds like you are getting more and more aggravated by Ford, Your Car and this web site. I think you need to either sell your car or quit whinging. Choice is yours.
  9. Well I have the info everyone has been waiting for......... The chips available at New Oak Ford Melbourne are in fact made by Powerchip. The are fitted at the dealer to my understanding and the car is covered to the extent of the original Ford warranty (3yrs/100000kms) by Powerchip. Cost for stage 1 is $1600. The upgrade is good for 270Kw. Stage 2 is $8500 but takes you up to 300Kw. I hope that doesn't breach advertising COE Edit:Yes it did. Sounds like a pretty good deal if the warranty is solid :D
  10. Hey Hypnodoc, no need to get testy about it until we find out what the go is. I haven't got my T yet but will be asking a few Q's after reading all the stuff in these forums.
  11. Just another question on the topic, does each unichip get tuned to the individual vehicle? How is this done, just via laptop or something? :(
  12. Never heard of that one before. :( I was under the impression that all vehicles had to have solid compliance plates.
  13. Hoping to get the specs today an will post them as soon as I do. I doesn't sound like they are from ford because the dealer provides the warranty not Ford itself. Anyway we will get to the bottom of it.
  14. Hi all, I have recently come across a dealer, New Oak Ford in Melbourne who is supplying chip upgrades covered under a dealer warranty the same as a ford warranty. Don't have the specs yet but was wondering if anyone had heard of this or had had it done? Cheers.
  15. This is exactly my thoughts. Great Job.

Great work sash. I like the red myself and you can count me in for one depending on price.
  17. Pardon my ignorance but what does one of these things do? :(

  20. Mac_Dude, where was the sunglasses holder 'coz the Fairmont etc have one mounted on the roof with the map lights? I wanted to option one in the T but it was going to cost $500 (Need to replace roof liner).
  21. Thanks Rabbit. Cant understand why as they were fitted to the AUIII (same shell)
  22. Hi all, Has anyone installed a footrest in a BA of any description? FMC say they deleted it due to safety but you have to wonder about that one If anyone has, could you indicate what type/model of car it came out of and how to do it. Cheers all
  23. BA_Turbs, to put it simply, TGAR is AWSOME!!!!. There are some twisty bits, some fast flowing corners and some straight bits. 120Kms of it from Bairnsdale to Omeo. Then you have the run from Omeo to Bright via Mt. Hotham. Very twisty Hotham to Bright but would be well worth the trip. Well it looks like the 18's it is. Bring it on
  24. Mondie, I'm in Bairnsdale so we will need to explore the Great Alpine road when the T arrives.
  25. You guys are a riot! I actually first considered the Fairmont Ghia V8, but alas I came to my sensors. I a year ago I was still the proud owner of a Subaru RS Turbo from new. The best dam care I had driven short of my mates M3. But the BA XR6 T has sold me. By the way Turbs, I am from East Gippsland and go up to Omeo regularly. Can't wait to get the BA onto that stretch of black stuff. So you recon the 18's are the way to go and don't really change the harshness of the ride?
