  2. Happy Birthday Yoda!

  3. Hi All, I am looking for someone to join our 6 Hour team for the August event. It involves 2 days at Phillip Island doing lots of laps for very relatively small outlay. Car only needs to comply with similar regs for sprints and can be run on a basic CAMS L2S license. Have 1 spot left for someone to take advantage of 2 days of fun. Just PM or phone me if you are interested. Cheap accom available. Chris. 0417530116
  4. Not to worry. There isn't. Thanks anyway.
  5. Hi all, does anyone know if there is a plug to attach an electric brake controller into under the dash or in the kick panel? There is a plug in the boot with 7 wires going into the loom and it would save a heap of grief if there was the appropriate plug up the other end. Thanks for the help.

    Factory Brake Options

Don't the F6 etc come with 4 spot Brembo's and the performance option in 6 Pot's? Disks are also 355mm up front, quite a bit bigger than the 340mm fronts on the TT.

The Data in the image is correct. Although I agree in most cars the fronts are larger, due to the handbrake shoes in the rears, sometimes the rears are larger in passenger cars as is the case here until you get to the Territory Turbo. I have contacted the tech at PBR and he is looking into it for me. Interestingly he mentioned a 6 pot monoblock setup the are about to release which would be awesome but pricey!

    Factory Brake Options

325 vented front 303 solid rear.
  10. Just wanted to get some thoughts from people who may be in the know about OEM brake parts and what will fit the BA-BF Turbo. While looking around on the net I discovered that the Territory Turbo has Whopping 340mm front disks and 328mm rears. After further investigation I found out that the 322mm front disks were interchangable between the BF Turbo and Territory 4WD - hence the 340mm disks Should should fit the BA-BF front hub! The same would logically apply to the caliper. What nobody could tell me is if the mounting points for the front calipers were identical even though they looked the same in the schematic. Is there anyone out there that knows if the mounting points are the same and if so is there any reason why you cant upgrade a BA Turbo brakes to the Territory Turbo brake specs. That would mean 340mm up front and 328mm rears, all vented!
  11. Just booked in. Should be a fun morning.
  12. Just wanted to know what tyres people are using for track days particularly street legal semi-slicks or any others that are good for a few hard laps. Cheers, and happy new year!
  13. Not sure if I'm posting in the right area but I was wondering if anyone know the conversion from Newton Units to Newton Meters? The dyno sheet gives the peak power OK but not torque in meaningful language.....for me anyway. Thanks in advance.

    Just Got Edited

The Mrs. doesn't have a clue. As for as she knows, the car just got a tune up......
  15. Well I have finally got aroud to getting the T edited. And OMG! What a difference. Ended up from a standard 209 RWKW to an impressive 256 RWKW running standard injectors at 91% duty cycle, AFR of 12 and boost of 12 lb's. Thing runs like a *beep* cat around the Coles carpark then turns into a wild animal when you put the foot down. I must say a huge thankyou to Chris at Blue Power Racing Developments in Campbelfield Vic. who went above and beyond the call of duty by picking me up at the airport at 11pm only to go back to his house and make some minor adjustments to the shift patterns after me having a drive. Awesome bloke. Would highly recommend him. Ended up with 3 X 12 lb custom tunes all with same shift pattern in SSS mode. 1 full race setup, 1 with firm shift in auto mode and 1 with standard shift in auto mode. Couldn't ask for anything more. For those who have not done this yet......start saving!
  16. I'm looking at using Bilstein as well and spoke to Centreline Suspension @ Thomastown. Are you able to advise who fitted/supplied yours and what the costs were. Thanks Robin. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi Robin, had mine done at Pedders Traralgon. Billies were just over $1K plus fitting. Couple hours labour so $1200 should see you smiling on the road.
  17. Just an update for all out there, had the Bilsteins fitted with the standard springs remaining and was very happy with the difference. Although stiffer than the original dampers, they provide much better tyre contact with the road on rough or corrigated surfaces. I would highly recommend them.
  18. Do you know what the spring rates or percentage increase is over standard for the Llovels?
  19. Thnaks Guys. I have been quoted about $1K to supply. Anyone else??
  20. I am looking to upgrade my shocks and have been told the Bilsteins are good. Just wondering who out there has them (apart from the member I have already spoken to) and what they thought as far as ride quality and handling goes? Thanks in advance.
  21. I have just done the slotted rotor upgrade with RDA's and Lucas pads. HUGE improvement over standard with the shudder I was getting at high temps gone. I put these through a very harsh test session on a downhill windy stretch. Pads never gave up but on the last big application, blue-black smoke appeared in the slip stream. So Pads not up to a full on track day but the rotors gave no probs.

    Abs Off Switch

Thanks for that info xr6_prod. That is what I have experienced in a track situation. So what is it that you have done in your car for racing or do you have to run the ABS?
  23. Yoda

    Abs Off Switch

I was talking about the track. Are people of the oppinion that the system is that good that it is OK on the track?

    Abs Off Switch

Everyone probably knows that a human can out perform an ABS system. So....has anyone managed to design a switching mechanism to diable the ABS from the drivers seat? I know you can pull the fuse in the panel in the dash but this seems to upset the auto transmission, and the one under the bonnet is a pain in the a.se. Any idea's out there???
  25. Thanks guys. Does anyone know what the spring rates and wire size the GT runs?
